(GUIDE) How To Use Search - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

First i was inspired of this by andyharney
i just copied this because ace dont know a lot of searchin atleast i think
Orginal idea link
Code:
XDA Forum Rule 1.
HTML:
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
Code:
Firstly you need to identify what you need to find.
HTML:
Aww, that ROM I like. The download link doesn't work. I need to find a working link.
Code:
Now, enter the ROM thread you wish to search & click this button -->
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now enter your search term -->
Code:
Wow, there is a few results. What next?
Now XDA has done a little of the work for you, you have to do the rest.
IF after exhausting every post that is returned from the search you cannot find the answer. Use the same technique that you just learn't to search the General & Q&A forums.
This time the button looks a little different. Don't let that put you off. Click this one instead -->
Code:
But Wait, I'm using the XDA App!
HTML:
Have no fear, you don't think XDA would have an app that wouldn't let you adhere to the rules, surely not.
Just open your XDA App, hit this -->
then this -->
HTML:
If your lucky enough to have a hardware "Search" button, you can hit that too.
HTML:
Now if you still don't find what you are looking for. You may post.
HTML:
Failure to adhere to the XDA Forum Rules may lead to a Warning and/or Infraction.

This is a very good thread born from a good idea. But it's also a little bit disheartening since you kinda get the inkling of the forum members' IQ level when you see this kind of an "obvious guide of the obvious" is actually made real.

Buried in a thread asking Samsung "Y U NO GIVE US"? I would have thought it pretty obvious to start a thread about the topic of the source being available instead of it being in a thread about how texting has deprived our youth of simple spelling and grammar.
I checked OSRC before XDA. Grumble, wish I'd had the weekend to play with this.

*edit* I guess wtf do I care, I figured the existing thread would get a title change and topic would merge... whatever's clever!

Anyone check the OPs post count? Doesn't it seem a little weird?
That other member had his own thread (where he may have or may not have) taken from xb and the thread was deleted not long before this was posted. Seems weird to me. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
There's also been quite a few posts by people with one post asking VERY noobish questions and never posting again... There's been a few posts that have came up from basically spam accounts.
Don't mean to offend anyone, but if I were a mod, I'd look into a lil deeper

Guess what, maybe you could start learning how to theme instead of asking others to do things for you. A simple google search will direct you to UOT kitchen. The people on this forum aren't your slaves.
And why use Energy rom if you don't like the theme?

I'm not trying to flame here or start drama, but I want to get this out there. I've helped you before when you first joined the forum. It was your first post and it was already answered elsewhere on the forum. I helped you anyway because you were new, and I think that everyone deserves a chance. But you don't seem to recognize that this isn't Yahoo Answers. We're not some kind of help desk or tech support. We're here to help others out of the goodness of our heart. And quite frankly, it's ppl like you that caused GG to lay low for a while. It's a good thing that he came back. Please do everyone a favor and read/search/learn. If you're incapable of doing these things, then you should lurk and just wait for other competent people to post things. There's a reason why your Thanks Meter is empty. Maybe you should try fixing that.
Glacier Guy is a good asset to our community. Don't piss him off.
And thanks ziggy, for having the patience to deal with this guy.
Im not trying to post anybody but that glacierguy is just always checking my posts out and talking smack

[Question] In-Device apk Editing

Hi,
I wonder if there is anyway to decompile/edit/recompile an apk with an android device?
I think that would be great.enables devs/themers work on their projects while they're away from PCs and make use for some dead times.(like long hours on the way to home/work)

That's very nice bro! very nice.
I just thought Q&A section is some kind of trouble-shooting thing, based on it's first 2,3 pages.
anyway I admit that it's my bad and I apologize for that.
but can't you be more helpful and answer to the question, instead of making fun of a small mistake? Technically you posted something absolutely useless. which in my opinion is way greater mistake than mine.

Dear Xda community...
I would just like to check if there is anything wrong with the xda app as when i go into suscribe topics or any other topics e.g. android development and when i go into the topic and press the back key, it goes straight to home screen... shouldn't it go back to the list of menu instead? FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
No one can guess from the title, what is your problem
And why the f"ck so many people say "KERNAL" instead of "KERNEL"??
