We got a Vpad10-pro-3g tablet which claims to having a "dualboot os" on it. But actually, it has Windows 7 Pro as the main OS and a very obsolete Android emulator on it. (Bluestacks ?) No Google Play, no navigation and no any other thing you can make it with Android.
So my question is; it is probably possible but how to make this tablet "really" dualboot? Like a partition for Windows 7 and a partition for Android 2.x or 3.x, whatever.
I found an ISO image for VPad10 of version Anroid 2.2 but it won't download. It had been located in Google code but its removed now.
Any ideas?

I am trying Android-x86 project now. Used LiLi to create a bootable USB flash drive with Android 4.0 image and tried to run it live and worked. Now installing on the hard drive right on the same partition with Windows 7; looks like it will be working. Still waiting for the installation progress to end..
Edit: It freezed the tablet at BIOS screen saying "F2 for setup and F10 for boot menu"
Interestingly with an external keybaord, it can get into BIOS for the few first seconds. But nothing more.. Stuck here for now
Edit2: Managed to make it work with different ROMs but no luck with Wireless, bluetooth and 3G..

I have a Toshiba Satellite L505, running Windows 7 Home Premium (dual core 1st gen i3).
Recent events have made me need to run android-only programs on a semi-daily basis. Combined with the cool factor, I am seriously considering buying a Honeycomb tablet. However, money is limited and I can't really afford it, so I would most likely wind up with a rooted nook color, or just upgrading my phone (LG Vortex). Not terrible options, but my sister has suggested something that would work just as well, if not better, for free.
I know there's at least some version of android that is compatible with x86 processors, and i could get my laptop to dual-boot W7HP and Android, that would be wonderful. Obviously I would want 3.0 Honeycomb, but I would be willing to install 2.4, 2.3, or 2.2. if something newer is not available.
The problem is, I have scoured google and found nothing about this, at all. I have heard of people installing android on their laptops, and some netbooks/laptops are even sold dual-booting, so I know its possible. Now, how on earth would I go about installing android as a secondary OS on my computer? So far I have only been able to find instructions to create an Android Live CD/SD/flash drive, but i need something permanently on my computer, where i can actually save my work and apps to the hard drive. WiFi, keyboard, trackpad, and USB drivers are required, CD and SD would be greatly appreciated as well.
How would i accomplish this? Any and all help would be massively appreciated.

Yeah thats because only google has a bootable version of their os on a pc. They implement their virtual tool with sdk tool so thats how they want you do it its crazy..There is probably a way though you just have to modify the boot.ini file on your hard drive thus pointing it to the android os. First youll probably need a new hard drive if it can be done on a usb it can be done on a hard drive plain and simple. Dual booting is done through the bios. The bios is what loads the HD which loads the boot.ini file telling it what to boot. Not sure if that would work but its a start there might even be a windows app that will help you do this. Like I said if people are making bootable usb drives its the same process on a hard drive the bios is whats booting that usb so if you direct the bios to an extended hard drive thus booting the android os. Its the same process as it would be on a usb that would make it permanent and there is a program called EasyBCD which easily allows you to change the boot.ini which will basically allow you to have the selection of both operating systems on boot you can choose between the two once you get it working!
Actually it is so much easier. The Android x86 project uses grub. You can boot it and run from livecd, usb or install android to your home pc. I started doin this today to see what the performance benefits would be from a developer point of view.

I have installed Prime OS classic 0.4.5 works fine on my L505-LS5014
I have tried creating a USB RAM-drive, and booting RemixOS (for PC/64) from it on my Cherry Trail (Teclast X16 Power) tablet. It gets to the screen that says "System initializing, please wait...". but never gets past that.
As mentioned, my Teclast X16 tablet is an Intel "Cherry Trail" (Z8700) dual-boot device, that can boot into either Android 5.1 or Windows10. Unfortunately the Android build that comes with it is not very good. (IE: Though the tablet has a GPS sensor, it doesn't work in Android. There are also a few other oddities about the Teclast Android build.)
It is possible that RemixOS is trying to make use of the Android data partition that is on the tablet's internal SSD (instead of using the USB RAM-Drive that RemixOS is on), and being that it already has data on it from the Android OS that came installed on the tablet, maybe it causes problems during boot.
I wanted to just try out RemixOS on this device. A few of the things that I really want to know is...
- Will the tablet touch screen work with RemixOS, or would I have to always use a mouse & keyboard?
- Will the GPS sensor work with RemixOS?
I was also looking to see if there was a way that I could boot RemixOS (for PC) in a VirtualBox VM, but I have not had any success getting that to work. Has anyone been able to run it in a VM successfully?

I just got my hands on a Pipo W1S (x5 z8300 Cherry Trail) and tried a couple of times to boot up Remix OS from a thumb drive with no luck so far.
I have tried many times with various versions of Remix OS, but I am still not able to get it to install properly on my Windows 10 Intel (Cherry Trail z8700) tablet.
The install process (to the C:} hard drive seems to fun fine (no noticeable problems/errors) during the install process. It also LOOKS like all of the proper files were installed to the hard drive. The problem is that the install process doesn't create a boot entry for RemisOS (in the Windows BCD).
I do have EasyBCD and a couple of other BCD editors. Does anyone know what the BCD entry SHOULD look like for Remix OS? Perhaps I could manually create it?

Your device has most likely UEFI booting, so using EasyBCD is not going to work for you.
You need EasyUEFI. Install it and show me what boot entries it outputs.
You can also PM me and we can set up Teamviewer to solve this quick

I recently installed Remix OS to my Asus X502C laptop and it all seemed really quick and easy so I decided to try it out on my old Linx 7 Windows Tablet and my iRulu Windows W1005 however I just cannot seem to get it to work.
I can get it installed to either the hdd or a bootable USB drive but when I choose the Android OS to boot from I get varying errors of missing things etc and then it hangs on a black screen.
I have also tried various other Android images listed to work on Windows tabs and other installers; Rufus, the Androidx86 installer 2.4 from a thread on this forum etc..
I can run MEmu no problem on my iRulu but I really would like a dual boot on it or just single boot on the Linx 7, I am a member on the Linx forum and Reddit but the Android discussion seems to be dead on there and guides/files are missing but people have said they have had Android running.
Can anyone point me to something that will work?

I'd like a solution to this problem please if one of the PrimeOS team can help
Another problem I got is after that error a part of my C/ partition where the prime was going to be installed is taken (the installation requires to shrink a part of the partition and it does so without even installing the system but the space is taken anyway) so far around 30 gigabytes are lost and i would like to know how to undo that.
Help would be appreciated

i got that too install it from ISO better and have dual boot with you another OS ,use rufus to make ur USB
Missing os
Hope I'm on the correct thread.
Acer V5 122P came with Windows 8, updated to 8.1, 10, then CloudReady, PrimeOS ran but CloudReady took over.
Removing partitions with GParted I went too far and now have Missing OS.
PrimeOS is still on drive but won't run.
Windows 8.1 installer says partition is GPT.
I've made a real mess and have no idea how to get PrimeOS working and use my Acer.
Please can somebody help me.

To make your Acer laptop useable again do a clean Windows 10 installation.

If I change boot to Legacy, I get missing OS.
If I leave it as UEFI nothing happens from the USB, it's not even listed in the boot order.
I tried the Windows installer, it didn't work either.
Are you able to help again?

To make PrimeOS installation an easy then if you're on Windows UEFI 64-bit use the PrimeOS Installer EXE, and not its image file ISO.
Also make sure Secure Boot is disabled in Windows UEFI.

I tried both standard and Classic. In each case PrimeSwitcher just brought me back to Windows 10.
I guess I'll just have to live with slo..o..o..w Windows 10.

The installation of PrimeOS 0.4.5 was easy. It takes about 15min. on my Lenovo T410 laptop
My issues coming after that:
1.) See almost all WiFi around me except my Samsung S20 Plus 5G Portable WiFi. why?
I see all WiFi routers around me, but none of my WiFi hotspots (Samsung S20+ / Huawei P10 and P9).
I tried with my wife Xiaomi Note M10 phone and working...
Any idea why only MI 10 working?
I tried all frequency combination (2.4 or 5)
2.) Almost all my favorites games are not running. Application closed/crashed during loading. (e.g: Guild Of Heroes, State Of Survival , Asphalt 9, CSR2)
