Hi! I currently have a Samsung Captivate.. and I might change it in a few months (july/june). I was looking with good eyes the Moto Razr, and (for refernece) I would like to know wich is the exact model that Rogers Canada sell.
i know it's GSM .. and I will have to Unlock it to get it here in Argentina (just as I did with my Captivate one year ago xD)
XT910 is the GSM Razr that is used here on Fido and Rogers
8GB internals and a SD slot
Tanks!!

Hi I too have Motorola Atrix from At&t network unlocked currently using in o2-de. I have full 3g and 2g connectivity in Germany. And also I remember while travelling through Italy this summer had full 2g support there. So if the 3g services in Italy use the frequency band as in Germany u should be fine. But my guess is they are same and hence there should not be any problem.

thanks!
I have att version in Sweden and broke screen. Found out that no euro companies will fix us version. Had to send back to us to get fixed. This can take well over a month. Just beware!

Running an att atrix 4g in Slovenia, as of the 2.3.4 update all works fine (on 2.2.2 wifi stopped working in conjunction with mobile signal - long story, but Slovenia specific), so ye you shouldnt have any issues. Regarding fixing the phone, apparently Motorola UK does it for att atrixes aswell.
Another one running fine in Spain and UK.
Regarding roms, you must keep in mind that your phone is still the ATT model, so whenever you must apply device-specific patches (radios, etc), choose the ATT one.
I got this phone in September, and since then I've been in 6 different European countries. Worked perfectly everywhere In Italy I got a TIM sim card, had hdspa on all the time. You'll be fine, it's an excellent phone, the best purchase you can make
Have you already considered the European Atrix sold on Expansys? I bought it there and am very happy with it. You get a phone that is (hopefully) designed for Europe and coming with a "Retail" System and radio. Works very well in Italy.
I have an unlocked Bell atrix that I currently use on the Sasktel network. I am going to England this summer, and I'm curious if I can pick up a SIM card while I'm there and use my phone?
i recently won a auction on ebay ,i got blackberry 8530 sprint ,anyway i live in europe ,so i wanna to get my sim card and looking were to put the card .Anyway
i'm going to sell that blackberry to sombody probobly to a pawn guy or something
Now i'm looking to samsung fascinate ,but i dont want to have the same problem as i did .
what samsungs ,or htc has a sim card slot ?
and another question ,i live in europe and in usa ,so i've got a samsung behold 2
t-mobile and it works fine in europe ,are htc or samsung fascinate would work europe ?
thanks mike
No it does. US carriers don't use sim cards. To make it worse, this is a Verizon phone so it is a cdma phone. I think international carriers are GSM.

well some of the us carriers does not take sim cards i now ,but is there any chances to replace something that would work in europe ,and what htc androids for about 100$ takes sim cards ?
The GSM US carriers would be AT&T and T-Mobile. They would have some phones with sim cards.
I know there is at least one CDMA carrier in England, it might be Vodafone. Not sure about other countries; you didn't say where you were.
VERIZON Fascinate = CDMA no sim card
TELUS Fascinate = GSM and a sim card. I have no idea if the radio operates on the proper frequency for your provider however.
American (and Canadian too I think) GSM phones are simlocked to the issuing carrier. I'd recommend you buy a phone from your country. Unless the phone says "Unlocked" in the description, do not buy it. If you don't know what to buy, look it up on Phonescoop.com you want a 4 band GSM phone. However most 3G will not work in Europe because HSPA and HSDPA are running on different frequencies here than what you guys use.
hello everybody;
i have heard of the korean ver of galaxy s3 and i love to have one; however i live in canada, and i relize some of the spec on the shv-e210 doesn't work in canada such as 4g or LTE. If i insis of buying one and use in canada, does anybody know any other way to force this shv-e210 to work full spec in canada, such as roms or software.
Hello Xda I have a really important question. Im thinking about buying a razr maxx for verizon. The model us different its a xt912m. But my question is, does this phone have any gsm support at all for out of the country (U.S)? Ive searched everywhere on the net for this information and cant seem to find it. Everyone either has another version of the maxx (xt910, xt912, or xt913) but very few with the "M" after the 912. and so I cant get the actual information. Its a 16gb phone with 1 gb of ram. I guess it was a limited edition. Can it be unlocked or support gsm cellular bands at all? Thanks!

If you want a gsm its the xt910, I believe. The xt912 and its variants are all CDMA.
