i just rebooted my phone and now its at 47??? this sucks big time..
Go back to stock dude. Click on htc stock on my sig . You can download the zip from there and just flash it using 4ext or whatever you use to flash kernels. Also once flashed turn off your phone wipe nattery stats using recovery then turn on your phone and don't remove the usb until it hits 100.
If its still burning your battery. Let the battery drain to 0 then charge it again to 100.
Yea, I would flash back to a stock rom and stock kernel for a couple days. Get the BatteryCalibration app, charge to 100%, wipe stats in the app, then discharge to under 10%, then recharge to 100%. Run the stock app for another day or so, then go back to another rom.
If this doesn't help, your battery could just be a dud, I have seen a few batteries go bad after 6 months or so of use. It's rare, but it does happen.

I have a problem like this when rebooting too. My phone goes down usually around 10% each time I restart. MikeyXDA said that this is normal and has something to do with high draw at boot. If you look in the MeanROM thread from the last couple of days, Mikey linked to his original discussion about it.
its odd cause its never happend before i have never had stock anything.. when i got the phone 5 months ago it was rooted already.. im always flashing roms kernels.. everthing has been fine until today.. gots to be my battery im thinking.. quess im just gona drain it till its ****s off and charge it to 100 and see what happens.. i still have the stock battery.. so ifs its the battery ill just use that one for now.. im using the anker 1900 battery rite now.. i have been using this battery for 2 months with no problems til now?

No problem, all this does for you is makes your battery readings more accurate.
also, for most doing that once won't give you TOO real effect.
So after you do that, redo it once more, when you have time, and it should be good.
Flashing roms at 100% usually works best from beginning.

Guys This is my 1st Post on XDA.. So pls bare the mistakes that i make..
Am a Photon user for around a Month, i had a gr8 Battery life in the 1st, and after When i tried MIUI and CM9 and CM7 and rolled back to Stock Rom, my Battery life got messed up pretty badly..
I tried to drain the battery till my Photon died and recharged it again to 100% for 3 to 4 times, still no use at all..
As soon as Unplug the Charge from my Photon, 10% drops inside 30min without any issue..
I was digging our Photon section and i down a guide somewhere regarding battery calibration after a Fresh Rom install..
So what i did now is.
My Device is Rooted but no CWM in it.
I went into Play store and grabbed a free of a APP called Battery Calibrator
Installed it and Charged my Photon to 100%.
As soon i get notification that my device is fully charged, without unplugging the device from the charger, i launched the Battery Calibrator App and Click Calibrate Now button in the bottom and unplugged it from the charger..
Booommmm... 3hr 5min still at 100% with wifi turned on, few min of call and msgs. Still am at 100%
Let me know guys if this works out for you too..
I think your exaggerating a little. I will try it soon, and post results.

yeah... i think your phone is playin a joke on you. if its still showing 100%, then its probably showing the date as April 1st.
if u r unlocked, wiping stats is the best way. if not unlocked... well you are missing out on alota greatness with an unlocked photon.
Throw the finger to wimax (never was great and never will be, dead) and unlock
Sounds like you just wiped battery stats and the manager of the Android framework engineering department at google chimed in to debunk this process impacting battery life.
Not saying it's all placebo, but Dianne Hackborn is lol
I did expose a motorola bug while playing around one day which sucked a battery from full to dead in about 4 hours. Turns out moto has a bug where if you start the process of adding a new sync account, and back out or don't complete the process, it causes a wake lock and kills the device. Battery pulls, wiping cache/delvik/etc ... none of that works. Once i tied the mystery wake lock back to the add accounts bug, i deleted my accounts, set them back up, and the wake lock was gone which returned my battery life. I suffered through this for about 4 days and it was completely frustrating.
Cheers!
P.S. Maybe this can be moved to general?

In my experience, the phone goes to 99% IMMEDIATELY after you unplug off the charger.
Are you sure something didn't go screwy with your phone?

It happened to me. Your battery is dying.
I bought a new one from Mugen Power and now I reach 2 days instead of 2 hours at same usage.

When they die, they die. $10 off ebay got me an oem replacement. Heavy gaming I get a half day to full, depends on game. Regular usage gets almost 2 days worth. With the new one I try not to make it a habit to charge it while over 20% battery and regularly let it die out on its own and use fera's technique to keep it conditioned. Had the same battery for a year now.
hey guys I really need help here :crying:
I will tell you guys from the veeerrryyyy begining
my phone is 2 years old (on my hand at least),and there is no problem untill about 3 days ago.
my ROM is GDX 029, have run it for months, no problem. but on that freaking day, when i charge my phone it takes 3 hours to make the LED light become green (battery level 90%++) when in normal condition only take about approx 1,5 hours. it seems very fishy, so i touched it, but it really is heated ( normally not ) and when i unplug the charger and left it to be cooled down for about 5 minutes the battery fell from 92% to 1%. I googled it and some people said that it was kernel, so I reflash the kernel and ROM, charged it once more and walla it heated again. no helping at all:crying::crying::crying:
i have flashed some other ROM and the original SE ROM but it doesnt help at all. can someone tell me how to fix it :crying::crying::crying::crying:
AW: heeellllppp battery hot T_T

Battery RIP
Sent from my U20i using Tapatalk 2
well, changing kernels and roms ( without undervolting and overclocking because that makes the phone unstable sooner or later or even the battery dies faster ) and calibrating battery, if it doesn't work for you then it really is RIP battery :S.
Hi, i have a problem for about a month . I changed my rom,my kernel, even put a stock kernel and a stock rom on my phone and i still have the problem.
I get my battery depleated in less than 1 hour if i play something and i get a almost 5-6 hours a day if i use my phone just to make some phone calls ( data , wifi ,gps , autosync etc. all off )
I sow something really strage about the phone.
At 1% it closes itself but if i reopen the phone it will stay almost 2 hours with that 1 percent battery..
And when i try to charget it from usb ,i get the graphic from the image..
If i do it with the original Charger, i jumps even faster.
It charges for almost 70% and then in minutes... jumps all the way to 100%
I really don't know if the battery is the problem or the phone. I don't know what to think anymore.
Please help

Yeah, i have the original battery that came with the phone.
The phone has an year and a half.
My battery stats looked very similar to your. I bought a new battery and now I'm getting over 20 hours off charge and 3-3.5 hours screen on time with 1836 MHz overclock, wi-fi and mobile data always on, auto sync and auto brightness on
So I would guess your battery is growing old

I really hope the battery is the problem... :silly: ( less expensive then a new phone )
I was afraid because i read somewhere here on xda,on the sensation forum, that some people after changing the battery, they still had the problem... but then, there was no answer on that forum since 2012..
Tomorrow i'll buy get the new one
Wish me luck :fingers-crossed:

And don't forget - wipe battery stats, and fully charge and drain to around 10% first 3 or 4 charges to calibrate your new battery

Bought a new battery... When i set it up in my phone and try to boot up the phone, nothing. Completely dead.
When i put it to the charger,it works for arount 1 minute ( red led on ,not blinking ) then it shuts down, and again the phone is completely dead.
If i try to start it while the red led is open,it will shut down, start again, then closes and thats it... dead again.
What's wrong? Was the battery too empty?
The battery has 3.8 V and it doesn't seem to charge at all
The old one has 3.7 and the phone still boots up

How long did you leave it on charger?
About one hour. But it only "charges" for around 1-2 min. Then the led closes and absolutely nothing happens. I checked the battery voltage and it's tha same.
Checked the cable, the phone output ( 4v ), I cleaned the microusb with alcohol...
It doesn't have logic...why is it doing this.
The battery is an original one,and from what I mesured,it's not dead.

Leave it for few hours. New batteries should be around 65% to 67% charged for sale. If yours is empty then you should return it and get a new one

Well, good news. I sent the battery back to the shop last week, and they called me today.
They said the battery was in a short circuit on some of the pins. He had the battery tested on their testers, and found out the problem.
Even the battery had enaugh voltage to start the phone or charge, because the short,it wouldn't charge beacause the devices ( phone , external charger ) will go in a protection state ( safe mode... )
And they sent me a new battery. It will get to my place next week.... so till then,i shall wait.
So,if you put a new battery in the phone, and it shows the red led for about 1 min,and then it turns off,and the phone doesn't charge the battery at all,and it doesn't turn on,even if the battery has enough voltage ( juice ) in it , you might face the same problem i did.
I had this underlined for anyone who is facing the same problem.
I didn't find anything like this anywhere on xda or other websites ,so i hope it will come in handy :good:
