hey guys i have flashed the wrong kernal through mobile oden now there is no recovery and the battery wont charge so it wont let me go into download mode please help
phone is booting?? or completely dead?
did you try this : just remove batery and put back try vol-down+home+Power
if you get downloadmod flash original kernel from ODIN
your phone's battery will still charge even if it's not showing you a green battery, charging is strictly a hardware thing, check if your phone's battery is dead, or if it is your phone it's self that's dead, i'll be refreshing this post to help you further more
bricked
hey well i have a rooted sgs2 which i had miui v4 from galnet miui scotland and i stupidly flashed a (boot img)?kernal with MOBILEodin and when it rebooted it boot looped then it would not go into any recovery but it would go into dl mode i had it on the charger all night nad now when i go into dl mode it say low battery cant download ???
Some solutions
A USB Jigg would likely help you. If you don't have one you can try this method, though haven't tested it on Galaxy S II.
1. Power-Off the Unit
2. Remove the battery
3. Press and hold Volume Down+Home Button+Power Button like what you would normally do to go to Download Mode.
4. While holding those buttons, slowly put the battery in place to power the unit. If you can't do this on your own or having some difficulty, have someone to press those buttons while you put the battery in place or vice-versa. Hopefully this would work, I confirmed this with Galaxy Ace, not sure if this would also work with Galaxy S II.
easy fix, first things first check if you can get into dl mode without it saying that message while it's on charge, if so you can flash a boot img using the PC odin
i recommend you use the old bootloader
OLD BOOTLOADER
NEW BOOTLOADER
fix 1. wipe battery stats from cwm and then fully charge, if you still can't get into cwm read fix 2
fix 2. change battery, see if a friend will loan you one intill you can get your cwm on your phone
if neither of those worked i suggest you using a jig to see what happens
heres the guide to make your own jig

I know, I know, I know.
"Oh this noob is dumb! blahblahblah" yeah, I get it.
BUT... I just want to know that I'm fully bricked and I want to try and understand why it is the way it is.
Here it goes:
BEFORE it was bricked, I reverted the phone back to Stock (Eclair via Odin, because I wanted the Bionix ROM) and I was trying to figure out how to upgrade it to 2.2 and to get CWM. I looked throughout the bible and stuff but I totally just got lost.
I, instead, being the dumb person I am, I download Stock+Voodoo for 2.2 and I flash it via Odin. I now realize that I have totally screwed stuff up.
I boot up the phone and you know what pops up? Red CWM.
It can't mount the system or even look at the recovery logs and I now know I totally effed up the phone, bad.
I try to get into download mode.. it goes to CWM.
I try to reboot into download mode via CWM and since I was able to have access to ADB via CWM, I tried ADB... that didn't work, it booted into CWM.
I even plug in the charger when the phone's off and it boots into CWM.
It shows the battery for a little (loading bar has no animation and the battery is just there... it stays still for say... 5 secs then boots into CWM).
What did I corrupt/mess up, etc?
Is it the bootloader? ... or what? and is it non-recoverable?
I didn't even know what was included in the Stock+Voodoo file. (I got the link/forum topic via Bible).
Your help and input would be much appreciated, and I'd understand if you call me stupid/dumb etc. for over 100 times.
Thanks!
If you're able to reach recovery, there's hope!
Just wrote up a post about getting into DL mode and ODINing to Stock here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1319802
Copy/Paste from that thread about getting into DL mode.
1) If not already powered down, power down your phone.
2) Remove the back cover.
3) Remove the battery.
4) Plug your micro USB cable into your computer (Your computer should be on at this time.)
5) (This will take a little dexterity. Enlist help if it proves too difficult on your own.) Hold down both volume keys at the same time.
6) While still holding down the two volume keys, insert your micro usb cable into your phone.
7) While still holding down the two volume keys, insert the battery into your phone.
8) Your screen should now light up with a yellow digging Android that reads "Download Mode"
9) If you did not reach download mode, repeat steps 1 - 7 several times to rule out any user error.
10) If you still cannot enter download mode, remove your SD card and SIM card as well as your battery. Do not re-insert the SD or SIM card when you re-insert your battery in step 7.
11) If you still cannot enter download mode, remove your battery, SD, and SIM card. Wait 24hrs and try again.
12) If you still cannot enter download mode, your phone may require special care, such as a JIG or JTAG. Information on this can be found elsewhere on the XDA forums.
Let us know if you're still unable to reach DL mode!
no your not totally bricked, your process of getting into download may be different depending on the bootloaders you have. Keep trying to get download, odin back to stock, you might pull the battery for 10 minutes to settle.

Hello
I have the next issue
I have a Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-I5500
And it bricked when I closed odin 4.36 after, when the phone was in downloading mode due that there was no completion. I wanted to install a newer version of the clockwork (mod) recovery.
I installed an old version but was unable to install the CyanogenMod (hte one from psyke83) that I wanted. And after I wanted to try a newer version of the clockwork (mod).
And now the phone is with the PC---to Phone icon brick mode.
I tried the volume down + main button + power off and isn't working
Also i tried to run the one click unbrick and isn't able to connect to the phone. Seems that the phone doesn't reach the computer
I tried an usb list (lsusb) in the ubuntu and does appear if i connect it.
I tried both in windows 7 and ubuntu
Do you think is a softbrick? Any clues? recomendations or questions for more details
did you find any solution..
i have no warranty since it as directly imported..i have the same problem ..
i was trying to backup my rom when it bricked.. (using rom manager) .... i tried volume down + home + power button (disconnect button) but nothings showed up.

I had a problem with the buttons on the phone the volume down wasn't working.
What do you mean by home button the one with the home icon or the main one with the metal borders because is that button the one that you need to use.
I also tried the resitor of 301kohms between the pins 4 and 5 didn't work.
Now i have the 2.3.7 working stable at the moment
try that combination of buttons if not tell me
I am pretty sure there is nothing you can do about it, if it is completely bricked.
And the phone won't turn on, in any case what so ever?

Depends if it is hard bricked or soft bricked. If the screens turns on and appears the PC---/!\ --- phone. The he can try to use the three key combination or the usb homemade jig. Otherwise he can try to find someone with the JTAG
search in google JTAG galaxy for more info.
sounds like a hard brick. People claim that taking the battery and sim out of the phone for 30 mins (min) and then putting back in and booting to download mode sometimes works
You could try that
MY BROTHER IS IN THE WAY YOU DOWNLOAD but equally can not install any OTHER ONE IS A STRONG BRICK
On galaxy s this also happens from time to time, even i had it once. Try if Odin possibly connects anyway and flash again, if not, remove your battery leave it out for 60 seconds and then try if you can get to download mode again. You definitely have not hardbricked your device...

Did you already try: vol up, menu, power on (by this order, holding them all together in the end) ???
(It might be that for your device you should press and hold: vol down, home button, power)
Did you try taking out the battery (for 10 - 15 secs) and trying the above combination again???
Also you might find this page of interest for your case: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734997. Credits to @neerajganga
Please take a look at your PM messages.
A last comment; in my experience, using the latest version of Odin and firmware from the links I sent you, never required extra files (like pit or any other type).
Best of luck! :good: Share how it goes!
Hello, total noob here; expected going from stock froyo to eating a nice ICS rom--Oh boy was I wrong. Current problem is towards the bottom of this post.
Rooting the phone was easy enough, but had to use magic getting Clockwork Recovery to work. I had to flash a "2e recovery menu", whatever that mean (versus the 3e version that originally came on the phone). Unfortunately I mistakenly deleted user/cache data before flashing CWM and did no nandroid backup.
A that point I could install passion v5 using CWM, and ended up in a bootloop, where the original booting image appears, flickered to the ICS bootimage, then back again. At this point I decided I should try going back to stock.
This is the image I tried putting on my phone, using odin3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036193
My phone could only boot into recovery, with an error along the lings of "dbdata: not mounting".
In my infinite noobness, I tried putting this gingerbread bootloader on my phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117990
Now it doesn't boot at all.
The following recovery guide doesn't help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=848737
After spending the last couple day working on this problem, I made this account and would like to see some community input on finding a solution.
OK seems like u did get Gingerbread bootloader installed correctly...if that's a case then the keys have changed in order to get to the download mode and recovery mode...so try this
1) pull the battery out
2) plug ur usb wire to ur pc and ur phone
3) hold volume up+
4) insert the battery in
if that don't work then repeat the steps mentioned above only this time on step two press volume down not volume up....good luck
if you get it successfully done...and u r ready to flash ICS make sure u flash it twice if it goes in a bootloop according to the developer that's what he said...u can pm me if u need help...good luck..

Sorry, but I should have mentioned that I tried the no-boot steps with the gingerbread key mappings, to no avail.
I would have stopped at passion rebooting constantly and use Odin3 again, but guess what? It couldn't enter recovery or download mode.
Anyways, do you have anything to say when your steps fail?
Do you recommend I try making a 301K jig to force download mode?
E: Not to say you're wrong, I'm just confident that I tried all possible button combinations.
EE: Just re-read the 301K jig guide again and noticed that my phone doesn't display anything; the jig will not work. Welp
Final Edit: My local store offered a replacement for my broken phone. No need to continue discussion in this thread.
hello, yesterday i have flashed a wrong firmware. i took the firmware from i9100.
my phone is i9100g. now i want to flash another firmware with odin but i can not get into download mode.
i take off the battery, put in again, press volume down + home + power button.
nothing happens. yesterday i could get into dlm, but today nothing happens.
i can start the phone. if i turn on the phone, i see the exclamation mark as here: http://cdn-static.cnet.co.uk/i/c/blg/cat/mobiles/rootingsgs2/rootingsgs5.jpg
how can i unbrick my phone an flash the original i9100g firmware ?
Are you sure there isn't any timing problems for the three button combo? Take out battery, reinsert. Press home, volume down and power simultaneously. Then volume up to continue. If it can go to the samsung logo, it definitely should be able to go into download mode.
Or, try a USB jig (its cheap and worth it, or you can make it by following plenty of tutorials here). It forces the phone into download mode.
Alternatively, if you have ADB set up and had USB debugging enabled on your phone, you could reboot into download mode by using adb reboot-download.

If you have screwed your device I have absolutely no sympathy for you. Maybe you will learn to read/research properley before flashing in future.
If you cant go into download mode try booting into recovery mode and restoring backup or flashing zip.
errr....i think he did get to download mode....he just didnt know what to do with it. NOW he's up for a solid XDA-READING night.
hell man, push those buttons like theres no tomorrow until u get to DLM!
from sii xda-ded
* take battery out of phone
* launch Odin
* locate ROM you would like to flash
* plug ph into pc/laptop (nb, battery still out of ph)
* holding button combo for d/l mode insert battery (extra helper maybe needed)
* 'if' ph gets into d/l mode, flash ROM
NB, this saved my S2 from BSOD

just out of curiosity how did you fix issue
[King_Rat raises right hand]
king_rat, i have charged the battery. then i could get into dlm. i believe you need at least 10% battery for flashing
First of all sorry for my poor english
So for no reason my Samsung galaxy s6 edge turned off and now it keeps doing same thing over and over again till battery dies. Phone keeps restarting every 1 second till battery dries out completely once connected to charger it instantly turns on and keeps restarting no matter what. The only thing that works is download mode, but after succesfully flashing rom it restarts and keeps doing same thing again till battery dies .
Also tried flashing custom recovery still can't enter it using button combo
Model:SM-G925F
Update: Now it keeps rebooting as always but white indicator led keeps flashing.
1: Remove sim card.
2: while it shows samsung logo instantly press volume up and home button.
3: if its not entering recovery then keep holding power and volume down button.
4: Let it flash the logo few times
5: then try to enter recovery and wipe data factory reset.
i was having same issue and i fixed this by removing sim card, do not insert sim card until its completely ok

what is your firmware version and build number, try to reinstall same firmware it was on the device before.
there is some thing wrong with your boot.img , it can not find system.
anyway try to reinstall through odin and plug a chrager that must have at least providing 2 AMPS of current at 5 Volts.
---------- Post added at 03:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:32 PM ----------
some times its week battery problem and while booting processor needs enough current to start.
so if the battery is week it can not provide enough current while starting.
i have fixed this issue with many devices with bad battery circuit which is built inside the battery not in the device.
---------- Post added at 03:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:36 PM ----------
3rd
try to install your rom with pit file and select "nand erase all" in the odin.
good luck
