turkbey v5 rom with siyah kernel

Most often, this is caused by a dirty or faulty USB port.
-try cleaning it with a dry toothbrush.
-failing that, remove battery and clean the USB port with a q tip and a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Let it dry for a few hours before putting the battery back in.
-failing that, get the port replaced.

My phone is acting weird too ... its an i777 but running a ported I9100 rom ...
I do not think that the rom is the problem ... because i had a similar problem before the phone was rooted ... however i sent it to samsung ... they changed a bunch of parts ... It looks brand new now ...
but ... today i got the "paused charging voltage too high message" and i got it after i removed the charging plug !
it and it gave me the same message after a while .... despite the fact that the charger was not connected. i took the battery out .... and when i put it back in it turned on - I thought I should turn it on !!!

[Q] Phone Reboots When USB cable plugged-in

My new AT&T Galaxy S II rebooted after USB cable connection when Android running up and in powered off state (battery charging animation is flicking - seems like reboot loops on charging state).
The interesting point is: In Downloading mode all things running as regular and i'm able re-flash the phone using usb cable.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Hmm this is a odd problem i dont recall hearing anything about this problem. You could try letting the battery sit for 10 minutes and then try again... I hope this problem gets fixed anyways you might want to call at&t or the company you got it from and look for a exchange.

Is this a third-party battery? If not, it's probably a loose battery connection.

Well you haven't exactly been around long, otherwise you'd know that this is a fairly common occurrence with third-party batteries. For example, it ALWAYS happens if you try to charge an I9100 battery (even an official one) in the I777. It's a basic safety check to prevent people from using the wrong battery in the 777.
Reboots - Stock rom problem
Hi, i bougth a new samsung S2 777, when start to reboot i try to change the USB port, nothing. Clear wipe reset, nothing...
THE SOLUTION IS THE STOCK ROM (i dont know why, 4.0.2). I install a custom ROM (cyanogemon 10.1) and sucess, it start to work again.
Try it its free... regards

S2 thinks it is rechargin when it is not

Hi,
Yesterday when I took the phone off the charger normally, it started to indicate that it is being recharged, and a couple of seconds after it announces that it will no longer be charged and this same cycle continues and continues playing the annoying sound / message. I tried to fix it by removing the battery, but it did not help at all. I also tried to connect the phone to Kies but when Kies recognize it, the program crashes ...
So could someone please help me with this?

Did you try to blow some air in the usb port? As it may contain some dust that is leading your phone to notify you as if it is being charged...

Hey,
I have been actually been having the same problem, it could:
1. bad charging brick
2. battery issue
3. kernel issue - i dont think its this one any more because i am still getting it on the stock leaked firmware.
4. usb charging board
i have tried flashing different roms / kernels and doesnt seem to be a cache / file issue since it happening before the phone boots. (charging screen)
if possible try another s2's battery in your phone... power off the phone and see if it auto starts or goes into charging screen. I have a spare battery and i dont seem to get the issue on that one. (still testing)
I also noticed i really only get the issue when i leave the phone charging for the night then wakeup. pull the charging cable and the phone doesn't register the disconnect and says its still charging. if i connect the usb to a laptop and connect and disconnect, it registers instantly.
i have looked for bent pins / dust.. depending on the better testing goes it may be the charging board that could be the issue.
good luck

I agree with you about the usb port problem. I also had a problem with the usb port, the battery icon was blinking all the time and the phone had a huge battery drain issue. All I could do is returning to stock, unrooting and bringing the phone to service center for repair.

[Q] Not Charging. Could be bad port.

I have had this s2 for less than a year so the battery should still be good and has been up until today. I plugged my phone in last night to charge over night as I usually do, but when I woke up it was completely dead. I tried 3 different cords and many different ports and wall sockets and it still does the same thing, which is nothing.
The phone seems very sensitve as to how I have the cord plugged into its port. I have it plugged in now but I have to keep watching it because it will randomly stop charging. Well, it's barely even charging anyways. It keeps going back and forth between 6% and 7% charge. Would replacing the port fix the issue or is it a problem with the battery? Any help or info would be appreciated.

I suppose I could try that. Suppose it's not the battery. Could just replacing the port work or would I be able to exchange it for a new one at ATT since I have insurance on it? (I'd rather ask you guys first than deal with ATT customer service lol)

Deleted. Sorry

I just got the replacement port board in the mail and the phone charges fine now. However, once I put the board in the phone is saying "Emergency Calls only."
I've tried taking the sim card in and out and restarting it and what not and it still says the same thing.
Is the phone recognizing that it's not the original part or something?

I think that could be part of the issue. However, my phone seems to be stuck in a boot loop after I did a factory reset and I can't get it into recovery mode for some reason.

According to this I ordered the wrong REV number
I did put the new board back in before it started having the boot loop issue and it was still saying "Emergency Calls Only"
Also the old board started charging again for some reason....
This whole thing is just getting worse and worse!

You weren't on 4.0.4 were you??
This looks kinda messy.
If you were in 4.0.4, as rat said, you could be lucky as you probably have a brick due to the brick bug.
Of course, your warranty must still be standing.
Why? Because it's Samsung's fault, not yours (of course it is, they don't need to know tho).

Hey konnan1 ,
Send a Screenshot
Regards
Yellow triangle in this case (I think) means that the battery is critically low on charge.
You say you have tried different chargers with no effect.
Have you tried plugging the phone into a pc?
Does the pc recognise the phone?
Does the pc charge the phone?
Can you transfer data between the pc and phone?
You may have to borrow a charged battery to check the abovementioned. .....
If you answer 'no' to the above, then I'd lay odds to you having a phone with a broken usb port......

yep it says the battery is critically lw but then i have put it on charge for 3 hrs straight without checking it or anything
this is what it looks like
That indicates (obviously) that the charge is not reaching the battery.
It can be one of 3 things....
1) faulty charger.....
2) faulty battery.......
3) faulty connector between charger and battery.
Points 1 & 2 can be set aside as different chargers and batteries behave the same way.... which leaves point 3......faulty connector.....
sent from my Arco powered W via XDA developers app
Yep, what keithross39 said. Either that, or your battery is old/damaged. Before you replace the use port, borrow a battery from a friend's s2 and see if you have the same issue. If you do, follow keith's guide.
