[Q] HTC one V port ? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

i was just wondering as i saw some phones like the desire S and desire HD get the one v port and they have identical hardware as the neo if i wasnt mistaken, can't they get the one V port maybe ?

It's almost impossible to port a Sense ROM to other phones. It's easy though to port the ROM to other HTC phones.
Moreover there are only a few people who want to use a Sense ROM so developers don't want to port it.

HTC Sensation Dump/HTC Sense 3.0 to Galaxy Tab

Hello all, I am trying to get some sort of sense ported to to the galaxy tab, I have three areas where I can start from
1. Nexus S Sense port :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12874457#post12874457
2.Galaxy S Sense Port :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877902
3.HTC Sensation Dump(or HTC Flyer when released)
I am not a full on developer but with a bit of guidance i can get things done, I would appreciate if someone could help me out or guide me in the right direction to get started on this project as I don't have the slightest clue where to start. I understand it would be the easiest to start from the Nexus S/Galaxy S port as they are very similiar to the Tab, but the biggest problem with those are resolution.
Anyways I would really love to get started on this so if you have any pointer it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe HTC Sense requires quite a bit of OS integration. Maybe even more than what Sony Ericsson uses with their Rachael interface.
Also, HTC has claimed that Sense 3.0 has certain hardware specs (most likely available RAM) that had to be met. That was the reason why they didn't update Sense for older HTC hardware such as the Supersonic/EVO 4G (although XDA devs have already come up with custom ROMs for the EVO 4G that have Sense 3.0).
There should be 3rd-party launchers, home screens, lock screens, widgets, themes, etc. that can be used to simulate the look and feel of Sense 3.0 without having to create some kind of custom ROM image. Have you tried that route?

[Q] Android (4.0) ICS for HTC Explorer?

Will HTC be officially rolling out Android (4.0) ICS for HTC Explorer?
If not would there be any other way to install it on the device?
Unfortunately, HTC Explorer won't get any ICS update. ICS is a power hungry OS. Although phones like Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Neo V, Neo, Xperia Pro etc are getting the update but the Explorer won't have them.
And as for custom ROM I doubt if anyone would port it. I recently bought one. Although it can be overclocked but I'm not sure if anyone would be porting it. There are a few HTC Explorer users.
Still I hope that some dev do something about it.

Would be nice to see ICS in HTC Explorer. I will keep an eye on this
Nope , if you go on the HTC support website , it has a post that tells you what HTC devices will be updated HTC listed that ICS needs more than 512 RAM ....
What about HTC Desire C, the specs are virtually the same and its running ICS??

well they probably customized ICS much to work on it, but im sure it would lag here and there.
Why not port that ICS to Explorer. so that we(HTC Explorer/pico users) can experience the ICS OS & features..
I see in other threads some developers are putting their great efforts in making this happen.
I hope some day someone will make it..All the best and hats up to developers

The problem with the Explorer is a lack of internal storage. It has 512MB in total I think (across all partitions). The Desire C has 4GB. Much more space for storing the larger OS (ICS takes more space).

[Q] HTC Sense 4.0 rom

Anyone knows where to get HTC Sense 4.0 rom for Xperia arc/arc s or there's just no development for it?
Are you reallysurprised, why there is no developement of HTC Sense for a Sony Smartphone?!
Maybe you also wonder, why there is no Siri developement, for HTC?
There are just a few roms, which support Sense 4.0 fpr HTC smartphones itself, so it wil take a while, since Sense 4 will be ported to other devices, i think.

[Q] Port of HTC One X ROMs on HTC One X+

Hello,
silly question but I will try. How is it with the compatibility of HTC One X roms with HTC One X+ hw? I know it is different HW so it will definitely not work. But how hard is to do some port of HOX rom for HOX+? I see lots of cool looking roms for X but X+ is still having lack of development in here. I really want to see latest MIUI, CM10.1 RC3 etc. on my phone
Thank you.

heh CM10.1 for the X+ is currently under going official....and is currently RC1 but hey why not just open your eyes and see, or instead of complaining about lack of development HELP OUT, there's 3 devs for AOSP based rom's yes THREE...threads like this drive me insane and is pretty much a slap in the face to myself, max and tom
I would like to help out. That is the reason why I am asking about how hard is to port HOX rom to HOX+ rom. I saw some tutorial on the Android Development general thread so I can give it a try.
