There is a lot of topics with answer on Your question so please do not spam forum.
You also posted in wrong subforum...
You will not lose the root if u update via air on software update app .. If u want to update it via SUS or pc companion u will lose the root ... And plz post this sort of threads on original section ...

If you rooted your .431, you don't need downgrade to gb, run step III from your rooted 431 and follow instruction ( in step 4 flash 587 ftf instead 431, you can fimd ,587 ftf for your phone in this forum) and ( recommend to use flashtool to flash your 587 rom ft f)

I've tried to update to .587 OTA and got "could not install" error after reboot =/

I want to relock my bootloader. I got the bootloader relock file, but it needs to be installed on 6.0.B.3.162 firmware.
Does anyone have a 6.0.B.3.162.ftf that i can install?

Its the only fw that the relock bootloader file can work on. I will just install it, flash the relock file and then go back to my current fw, with locked bl.

im using kernel .10 on my sola and im rooted i want to update it to .54 yah its easy to root but i cant update it to .54
