Hello I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 T989 I have clockwork recovery and Juggernaut installed, when I downloaded clockwork I waited about 2 1/2 days before picking a rom as I wanted to make sure I wouldn't brick anything and made sure I did it to the T. It installed great.. (I have two S2's I had a "device failure" and had t mobile send me a new one so that was my clean slate.. I started from a "brand new phone, did 2 wipes before I did anything, only thing I downloaded on device after clockwork was done was Rom manager pro, Titanium back up pro and quick boot.. I then did the full install of Juggernaut (read the instructions for probably 3 hours before I took the plunge) After I had it installed and rebooted a couple of times I let phone sit for about 4 hours before I touched it, I loaded up TB and got all my info off old phone, now to my question...
When I have wifi enabled, my phone signal shows a red x above the signal if not the 0 is this normal? I scoured the web trying to find it, I even wiped my old phone and put juggernaut on it and it shows a the same thing..

I have had some real problems dropping calls. This is my second Vibrant. I took matters into my own hands and rooted it today. (One Click Root). I also flashed the Vibrant9 and all seemed to be going fine. I followed all the directions to a "T". The only thing I did differently was I used Rom Manager to get to the download screen. My phone would NOT under ANY situation go to the Download screen. This worked well. My new flashed ROM was in and the phone was working. I then installed "Back-Up Manager Pro" and downloaded my previous apps and data. On the reboot my phone stayed in the "looping", now Samsung (blue screen instead of pink) and will not finish booting. I have tried all ways known to man Any suggestions? I bought this from T-Mobile 3 weeks ago, 2nd phone, do you think I have a shot of a return? I would rather just fix the problem. I was hoping the new ROM would stop the dropped calls.
Hi everybody... my phone died just a few hours ago.. the battery got to 0 while playing a game... now... while I was playing the game, my phone was flashing yellow bars..? like some sort of "im dying" sort of way...
its the first time that i see these flashes... right after that my phone just stopped functioning.... im stuck on the galaxy s3 logo, it doesnt even REACH the SAMSUNG logo.. so my question is...
is it possible that the INTERNAL memory of my phone, got broken..?
i think that its the internal memory that just died and now i cant use my phone.. installed other few roms and nothing, i can still get to the CMW and DOWNLOAD section but i cant get past the galaxy s3 logo.
do i need to find a samsung center and fix this?
i think that the phone itself came defective, since i've had a few problems with USB transfer ever since 2 months ago phone is "4 months old"
just not long ago i installed ultima rom and it fixed my usb file transfering situation... but now my phone just completely died. its not even ****ing bricked. thats the worst part!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you done a reset via recovery?

Go into recovery, clear cache and dalvik plus fix permissions then reboot. That is the easy fix, if it doesn't work then restore your nandroid backup or super wipe and reflash your rom.
If you are lucky then your sudden shut down only corrupted the system or data partition.
Hi all !
My galaxy tab is a GT-P7500V and my provider is Videotron in Quebec. I rooted my tab to be able to remove all of Videotron's bloatware but I wanted to backup the rom before doing it. When I tried that, ROM Manager rebooted my tablet as soon as I chose "Backup current rom" and then it hung at the galaxy tab logo.
I tried a normal reset with the power button, also tried to go in recovery mode but neither option works. I even removed the casing and unplugged the battery for about a minute but that didn't do it either. I can only get to Download mode.
Here's what I did.
1. I rooted my tab using the procedure in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657758
2. I installed ROM Manager.
3. Opened it and installed Clockworkmod Recovery.
4. I chose "Backup current rom"
I think I messed up in step 3 and chose the wrong cmw. I know my tab is not a 10.1v but the only other 10.1 choice was 10.1 wifi so I chose that one. My tablet is actually 4G (or 3G branded as 4G, apparently they do that in Canada) and wifi so I thought I was picking the right one.
I know I can flash a new rom since I have access to download mode but I'm concerned now. I googled for hours and hardly found anything for the 7500V and I'm afraid I'll brick it this time if I flash the wrong rom.
How do I fix this ?
Problem fixed
Curiosity and the urge to try were stronger than my fear of bricking my tab so I just had to do it. I downloaded Odin and flashed recovery-cwm_4.0.0.4-sam-tab-10.1.tar.md5, as soon as it was finished my tab rebooted and everything is just as it was before.
Hi.....One day my galaxy 5 accidently fell down, though from a small height.....its battery came out. And after i reconnected the battery and started the device.....It started and worked normally...(btw i am using cm 10.1 v0.2)until some time and suddenly got frozen..everything on screen was as it was, i waited for almost half an hour but nothing happened.....no hardkeys worked...nothing....i had to pull out the battery and restart and again same happened.....i reflashed rom....after reflashing same rom (cm 10.1 v0.2) i got booted successfully and phone ran smooth as before but after i installed some apps it once again got frozen...and i tried cm 7 also and same happened. Not only in roms but it also gets stuck in recoery sometimes while restore or backup or flashing zip. One thing i noticed was it gets frozen when many apps start at once....I tried to flash official rom with odin but it went into bootloop and didnt even booted......PLZ helpp me...!! I saw this type of problem happened in S3....which is named Galaxy s3 suddon death syndrome and in that problem what happened was that a block in data partition(int. Memory) gets corrupted and when phone comws to write on that block it gets frozen and we have to pull out battery to start the device...I am trying the solution given there which is Dummy file generator but as soon as i start generating dummy files it gets frozen and after 2 to 3 tries, even the rom does not boot up......So please help me to solve this sudden freeze problem......I am really annoyed as i cat use my mobile....PLZZZ Help...
I'll start from the beginining.. Okay so since i bought my tab (3 months ago) i had a battery problem, but it wasnt a bad battery problem. Once it got to 95% battery it stopped charging. Anyway, about a week after that i was unhappy with the performace of touchwiz on my tab so i decided to root it and install the cyanogenmod 12 nightlies. I was happy with cm for a while but eventually i got bored of all the bugs and instabilities so i decided to switch to a touchwiz rom.. This touchwiz rom was a vast improvement from the stock touchwiz so i decided to keep it. However i still wanted to improve the performace so i researched online for apk's/zip's that could improve my tabs performace. I came across crossbreeder and people said it was really good so i decided to install crossbreeder through TWRP. Once installed i rebooted my device and i instantly found many more battery problems. For example my battery would go from 50% to 20% in 5 mins/my battery would run out and i would reboot it and it would have had 40% etc. I downloaded some battery calibrating apps and calibrated my tab. After all that, that battery wasnt so bad. It was still dodgy but no where near as bad as it was straight after installing crossbreeder. Anyway, this was about 1 month ago. Since then, no new problems had occured with the battery until last night. Last night, my battery ent don to 1% then turned off like it should. I put my tab on charge and rebooted however when it rebooted nothing would work. My touchscreen didnt work, my home button didnt work, none of the keys next to the home button didnt work. So i thought that this was no problem and i could just boot into TWRP, factory reset and install the backup that i made. When i tried this, i booted into TWRP successfully however i couldnt press any of the TWRP buttons, again, i thought that this could be solved by flashing the stock firmware through odin. I put my tab into download mode and connected it to my pc, then flashed the stock rom. Once finished it showed a 'pass' and i thought everything was sorted.. When my tab booted up, it again, didnt let me press anything and none of the buttons would work. This is when i panicked. I then went into the stock recovery to factory reset my tab to see if that would work however, when i went into stock recovery, i couldnt go up or down using the volume keys.. So my volume keys didnt work either. I next put my tab in download mode and connected it to my pc. I opened odin and checked the 'Nand erase all' box thinking this would fully reset my whole tab. I then researched the 'nand erase all' function to find that everyone said that it breakes your device and puts it in bootloop etc. After reading this i instantly disconnected the usb from my computer to my tab. I tried rebooting my tab to see if it still booted and it didnt.. (i waited 20 mins). I then ran odin with 'clear efs' box ticked on. Again it didnt boot. I went into stock recovery again to see if the volume keys would work.. they didnt.. Infact when i opened stock recovery it had 3 errors showing (which it didnt last time i opened stock recovery). They all started with 'failed to mount /data'. Now i am here.. Sorry it was such a long read, i thought it would be better if i explained in detail. Thanks to anyone that replies/helps me.
