So I'm coming from an iPhone. I've always liked how iTunes kept my photos synced on my iPhone so that I could pull it out and show people some new shots and what not. Is there any way to do this with Android?
Keep your photos on picasa, then under accounts and sync make sure sync photos is checked...
All of your picasa albums will then show up in your gallery...so you don't need an app, Google does this natively.

I have been using S2V to make the pictures not look all grainy on my contacts. When I upgrade my ROM every so often it obviously erases my contacts. I synced my contacts with my Gmail account, but when I reimport them form Gmail they go back to bad quality. I am tired of going through all 3 of my friends and changing their picture with S2V, any suggestions?
I upload photo's from my computer to Picasa Web using Picasa, where they are stored in my Google Plus space.
Under my account sync settings in Android, along with Gmail and Contacts and all that, I've got "Sync Google Photos" and "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
What's the difference between these two choices?
I was wondering the same thing too.

I believe this quote/link should help half of your question.
Android 4.0 devices have a system setting that allows you to Sync Google Photos.
This setting enables syncing of your Google Photos from your web albums to your device's Gallery app. As a result, if you have a large number of photos in your web albums that have been uploaded through Picasa Web Albums or Google+, you may notice a high amount of battery or data usage during this sync.
This setting also enables or disables sync for Instant Uploads to Google+. However, to enable Instant Upload, you must enable Sync Google Photos as well as enable Instant Upload within the Google+ app.

In Picasa you can upload photos at the original size, with Google+ it will resize & compress it whether you want it or not. Not what I want

If you are on ICS, use Haxsync, it syncs pictures in HD quality.
so how does haxsync work? does it save FB pictures and directly sync to google server?
Im thinking of doing multi-boot to ICS, install haxsync and sync then go back to cm 7.2 and have the contacts re-sync. will that work?
I'm a cm 7.2 lover as ICS isn't stable yet

Sadly it wont work that way.
Haxsync syncs your facebook contacts photo in ICS phonebook without phone number coz FB doesn't allow these app to sync mobile number. Then you have to manually join your google contacts with fB contacts. The only good thing about this app is that It syncs pic in HD quality and this is the first app which could do this job on ICS.

Sry for picking up an old thread, but is there any News on this?
I would love to sync fb user pics to Google, so I have them in my gmail contacts too without too much hassle.
Any tips highly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Me
I have my contacts synced to Google and recently synced them all to my new phone. I noticed that the photos I was using on my contacts also synced over even though I didn't transfer them from my old phone's SD card. So where are they residing now on my new phone's storage? If the answer is that they aren't, does this mean that my contacts list is constantly drawing from Google servers in order to display the pictures associated with them?

Hi there,
It it possible to sync different photos to different google accounts? For example, for some of my photos, when I take them, I'd like them to back up to my personal google account. Some photos are for work, and I would let them to sync to my work google account. Some photos are for a side business, and I would like those photos to go to that business account.
I was thinking maybe making multiple users on my phone? That seems excessive.
Alternatively, is there a way to have pictures sync directly into a google photos album, and if so, is there an easy way to switch the sync album on the fly? If so, I could just use a single google account and have a "personal" album, a "work" album, and a "side business" album.
