Happens quite regular to me, No problem when plugged in charging, in fact I could be having the above issue but as soon as I connect a charger it connects instantly.

Please help anyone,
I have tried a number of different car chargers including the SE AN 300 which apparently is the recommended one, and of those that actually worked they all have a problem.
Sometimes they charge fine but often the phone will stop accepting a charge even though the charger is lit up and apperently working. Un plugging and re plugging in the charger will fix things for a while but then it stops again.
The handset charges fine from mains and pc usb, its just from the car I have problems.
Any ideas? This is really getting me down now as I work away from home a lot I really need reliable on the road charging.

There's a problem with the x10 stopping a charge when it hits 100%, and won't start again until it reaches 90, is this the case?

Hi,
It gets down to something like 5% and sat nav closes.
I have a theory that I am toying with;
The crappy coily lead from the charger is under some tension due to the positioning of the phone on the windscreen. I wonder if this causes an intermittent connection which, maybe due to SE battery protection circuit, causes charging to halt.
What I intend to do on my next long trip is to relieve the tension on the lighter end of the cable so the charger is left undisturbed in its socket to see if this cures things.
I'll post back when I have done this
I'm running jokersax's beta 0.6.9.3, and I have the wierdest problem. When I instantly plug in a usb cable, whether it is through pc or power outlet, the phone doesn't charge, or recognize that there is even a connection. But when i fiddle and shake the usb cable and reconnect it, at random times it's recognized. However when I turn the phone off, the green light appears instantly as i plug in the usb cable, which means that the usb port is not broken. How do I fix this? (Also this has been going on since the early cm9 builds, but I was able to tolerate it till now)
Sounds like you've got a damaged cable/port/charger. It's only allowing some off the current though: when the phone is running it's not drawing enough to charge, when it's off there's enough to charge.

I don't know about that, when I've tried jokers CM9, I had similar issues, when I connect the cable it shows that it is charging but charges only like 5% per hour, hopefully I have several batteries and charge them using a battery charger. I've tried using fastcharge but that feature didn't work for me, simply didn't turn on.
it's not the cable/charger, I tried several different cables and chargers, all with the same result. I have a suspicion it might be a battery problem, so I ordered a new one. I'll see if that's it
Try unplugging and plugging it back in without moving it about. I have to do that on my Xoom (stock) to get the little charging indicator to show sometimes.
Hi
I have about 6 months old Galaxy S2.
Since yesterday I've been having trouble getting it to charge. Connecting a charger while the phone is on or trying to connect it to the PC doesn't do anything. I've tried different cables and charges (ones that used to work until yesterday).
The only thing that gets it to charge is if I remove the battery, connect the charger, insert the battery. After it runs on its charging fine.
Do you think its a software or hardware issue? Anyone had similar one?
Thanks
Hello, I started to have issues with wireless charging - it does not work. The phone seems to be charging but it actually isn't, the battery stat app shows no charging current. But it's obviously not a hardware issue, if I put the phone on qi charger just after disconnecting it from a wired charger, the wireless one works. If I put it there any later than within a minute, it does not work again. Even a factory reset did not help. Does anyone have an idea what might help? Thank a lot
