Now from i can get is i need to downgrade to root it and even get a custom rom on it ? if that's the case the problem i am having is what RUU to get ? Keep trying to figure it out and i am lost . am i missing something here.. ANy help would be great .. Thanks guys..

First, see this post to determine which ruu you have

Then this thread to downgrade

Man I'm lost too. I'm no noob to rooting and stuff but this stuff makes my head ache. I'm still not seeing exactly how to find the appropriate RUU. I have a US wifi only flyer with Honeycomb 3.2 on it.

Nevermind, I started reading instructions and I'm half way through the process now. I'm on stock honeycomb, unlocked bootloader, recovery installed, and super user app installed. Just waiting for the gingerbread firmware to download, but it takes 6-8 weeks off this stupid filefactory site. I thought I might pay to download quicker, but $12 for a month...what else am I going to download off there to make it $12?
I gotta go to bed soon, looks like I'll have to finish the S-OFF procedure tommorrow. EDIT My tablet is rooted...do I need to go any farther?
Edit again, I'm just going to do it. I want nothing stopping me from flashing ics when it you guys release your awesome project

Noob problem after root

Hi guys
Sorry but i am a noob to all this so have proberly stupid questions.
After flashing to a customer rom i went back to a stock t-mobile rom. Problem i now face is when i try to download apps from other companies that are not on the app store eg mfortune they are unable to detect the type of phone i am using so i get "sorry we do not currently support your device" despite being able to do so before rooting and flashing. Is there a way i can change this with the release of skyGo on android this month i want to be able to download it. As it will be only on the galaxy s2 and HTC phones for some time i dont really want to wait.
Any help please???
Did you do a full whipe? Adding some details like model number, the rom you flashed and the one you came from may get you some more useful results.
As for the skyGo app, it won't take more than a day for it to pop up as an APK somewhere on the net.
Hello
Thanks for the reply i am currently in work so i cant look at my phone but will update on which firmware and kernal version i am running
I did however follow this guide to root reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-phones/how-to-root-your-samsung-galaxy-s2-50004972/[/url]
Not sure if that helps i did not however use the guide to flash the secure kernal maybe thats where i have gone wrong.
I will update the thread with the info later.
Thanks again

[Q] Actual guide for manually installing ICS on EU RAZR

Okay, Im at my whits end here. Im getting tired of waiting for Motorola to actually do something, and I cant for the life of me figure this out. I've searched but can't find what I'm looking for.
All I want to do, is manually installed the the official ICS on my European (Swedish), RAZR. Im on version 651.73.30.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU, GB, obviously.
What I need is a guide that step by step works me through it, as simple as possible, and an ICS file/version that doesnt leave me with broken features, stuck at some language or other problem.
There has to be somebody that can help me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30364320&postcount=26
Really good link and guide, only problem is that the Blur_Version.651.167.21.XT910.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU.zip can't be downloaded. Once the countdown for free user finishes it takes me to a page cant be found.
Edit: Got it working eventually by just trying more. Guess it was some kind of hickup. Will write back with result tomorrow.
pm hsd-pilot for new mirrors
Finished installing now, and rooted on top of that! Thanks so much for the help, couldn't be happier with the result!

NEED HELP!! How to update ROM for International i9300 phone on Fido network!!!???

Hi
So I bought an International i9300 back in the summer and i've been using it Fido (Canada - doesnt support LTE yet)
and i rooted it somehow...dont know how and dont know why lol... and succeeded for whatever its worth... :good:
the last "COUPLE" of months, ive been getting these system update pop ups on my screen ALL the time!!
i've even tried to let my phone update itself but ,im guessing because of my root ,it makes my phone crash half way and forces me to reboot...
Btw,can my root be too old or is it,once its been done its done no matter how long ago you rooted?
anyways long story short,i desperately need to update my rom! the system update pop ups are super annoying and my phone is running on super old 4.0.4 :crying: and the battery SUUUUCKKKKS!!! anyways, im guessing i need a specific rom for an international i9300 running on FIDO? CAN ANYBODY HELP???!!!! IM DESPERATE!! LOL btw i might of been able to root it through ODIN at one point but don't be fooled i suck at these android things yet with a little help (hopefully) i might be able to fix this issue!
I attached a pic of my current situation...hope it help...
Hi,
You can update your rom following the instructions of this topic from "Intratech": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969
Just follow the instructions, it is pretty simple.
I go to sammobile to get my stock roms (http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/)
On the Intratech topic, you have anything you need to update your device.
Cheers

[Q] Rollback Google play edition to ATT rom

Hello guys.. Hope you're ok..
I have a question.. Recently i bought a cellphone. . obviously a HTC ONE ATT.. but this cellphone was rooted and Google play edition was installed.. I was trying to install the att rom from htc.com .. (the oficial or original).. But I get some error like the rom is not the correct to my phone and that kind of stuff...
I have to do a extra step to give a rollback or this rom must work without problem??
I tried twice with same error.. I dont really like the google play edition android.. so.. would be great if you can help me..
thank you so much guys.. have a nice day.
You need to downgrade the HBoot. Here is a great page for the info, if you want to use the ATT RUU, just change it In step 5. Not sure why you would want to, considering you can have a Dev Edition with no ATT bloatware...

verizon note 2 SCH-I605 lost IMEI after 4.3 update with odin

so i have been putting off the 4.3 OTA update thats been blowing up my phone for awhile now.currently renovating our home with two kids in sports and working a ton of overtime.
was running stock 4.1.2 rooted unlocked.started searching forums front to back on how to update to 4.3 without OTA.got that done to find out i had no wifi.found a patch tar file that was suppose to fix the wifi issue then lost service.i have been searching forums for two days straight, reflashing stock images, android toolkits...you name it.i cannot even tell you wich ones i flashed at this point my desktop is covered in files and folders. i cant even think straight..lol.i will continue to figure out what files i flashed in what order to better provide information.
at this current time my phone is running 4.3 stock rooted with wifi but no service.currently do not have a IMEI.i dont care about root or being unlocked i just want my phone service back.had to dig up an old blackberry today to get activated for the time being.im sorry if im not giving enough info.i just want my service back on my phone and willing to do about anything at this point.again sorry if i have not included enough info as i have been starring at my computer screen for way to long.thanks in advance
I have solved this problem for many users....you can try to install stock rom along with pit file via Odin....let me know the outcome.
Thanks
