I have a question.. Recently i bought a cellphone. . obviously a HTC ONE ATT.. but this cellphone was rooted and Google play edition was installed.. I was trying to install the att rom from htc.com .. (the oficial or original).. But I get some error like the rom is not the correct to my phone and that kind of stuff...
I have to do a extra step to give a rollback or this rom must work without problem??
I tried twice with same error.. I dont really like the google play edition android.. so.. would be great if you can help me..

You need to downgrade the HBoot. Here is a great page for the info, if you want to use the ATT RUU, just change it In step 5. Not sure why you would want to, considering you can have a Dev Edition with no ATT bloatware...

trying to get my hands on an OEM tmobile htc pro s rom,
went with new energy... and it isnt quite what i want and still one sync with outlook... so i wanna fo back to stock ... and learn some more..

Or try going to HTC.com and download the ROM from there, you should get the right rom when you write in the S/N from the back of your phone (under battery)

Sorry but i am a noob to all this so have proberly stupid questions.
After flashing to a customer rom i went back to a stock t-mobile rom. Problem i now face is when i try to download apps from other companies that are not on the app store eg mfortune they are unable to detect the type of phone i am using so i get "sorry we do not currently support your device" despite being able to do so before rooting and flashing. Is there a way i can change this with the release of skyGo on android this month i want to be able to download it. As it will be only on the galaxy s2 and HTC phones for some time i dont really want to wait.
Any help please???
Did you do a full whipe? Adding some details like model number, the rom you flashed and the one you came from may get you some more useful results.
As for the skyGo app, it won't take more than a day for it to pop up as an APK somewhere on the net.

Not sure if that helps i did not however use the guide to flash the secure kernal maybe thats where i have gone wrong.

Ok got my Htc Flyer on a good deal its just the WiFi version only got it from CowBoom well be fore hitting the forums here i made the mistake more or less of updating to Honeycomb . Now from i can get is i need to downgrade to root it and even get a custom rom on it ? if that's the case the problem i am having is what RUU to get ? Keep trying to figure it out and i am lost . am i missing something here.. ANy help would be great .. Thanks guys..

Man I'm lost too. I'm no noob to rooting and stuff but this stuff makes my head ache. I'm still not seeing exactly how to find the appropriate RUU. I have a US wifi only flyer with Honeycomb 3.2 on it.
Nevermind, I started reading instructions and I'm half way through the process now. I'm on stock honeycomb, unlocked bootloader, recovery installed, and super user app installed. Just waiting for the gingerbread firmware to download, but it takes 6-8 weeks off this stupid filefactory site. I thought I might pay to download quicker, but $12 for a month...what else am I going to download off there to make it $12?
I gotta go to bed soon, looks like I'll have to finish the S-OFF procedure tommorrow. EDIT My tablet is rooted...do I need to go any farther?
Edit again, I'm just going to do it. I want nothing stopping me from flashing ics when it you guys release your awesome project

Im having great difficulty in finding the Stock ROM for my HTC ONE X Plus.
Iv seen a few around but im unsure if they are compatable with my model etc not too mention a few dead links here and there....
Id really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction for the original ROM for my phone.
I just dont like th new 4.2.2 update, theres a few little issues, mainly ergonomic that i dont really like and would like to go back to 4.2.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 4 (i belive thats the stock ROM for the ONE X Plus purchased in 2012.

SDK API 5.41
CID Number is HTC_001
Im in the UK so I guess I'll be needing the EU version.

Although im unsure which of those to choose, theres a few EU links there and non of the detail seem to make any sense to me in order to choose correctly.

Yes, in the end I gave up trying to root my phone as all tutorials I found failed on my phone.
So I decoded to buy an HTC with smashed screen off ebay with android 4.1.1 and swapped out the motherboard and thus the OS also, ill put my motherboard in that phone and replace the screen and sell it on and so should at least break even with my costs

My issue, i want to make unroot the phone back to its box packing again. i need the stock rom with out rooted of htc one at&t. everything to be back to original state bootloader,twrp whatever..... i dont have much knowledge on it....
can any one help.... Thanks in advance...

Follow nkk71's Super Guide to Stock. It is easy to follow, just do the steps in order.

thanks for the posting the thread, but i don't know anything about these things ,.... what is S-off, what is boot loader, flashing stock reovery, ruu zip, relock boot loader, flash boot oem, h-boot, ....... etc please help me out..
