Or try going to HTC.com and download the ROM from there, you should get the right rom when you write in the S/N from the back of your phone (under battery)
q
that would work but there site says my phone should be current and wont let me pick a file, anyone have it downloaded already?

Hi guys, hope you can help me.
I got a htc 7 mozart here, from a friend . He is asking me to see if I can do something about this issue on his phone, and by puting a new rom in it. First of all the problem is , there is a watermark on it wich says htc Confidential. how do I get rid of it. second he would like to have the newest custom rom.
I allready tryied the 3 files of nodo but when I tryied to flash the Phone: it says another nbf file is needed. it crashes back by 0%
I have no Idea how to find a solution. Is there a way to fix this Issue . thanks and wish you a nice day
greets Pete
nobody has a clue??? hmmm thanks anyway
it has a rom that says HTCX confidential ?
i've never heard of this problem - where did he get the phone ? Sounds like it could've been stolen?
If so - get in touch with HTC - they may be willing to offer some incentive to get it back - or if not - what is the OS version and bootloader version? Could it be an early leak? Chevron team might want to take a look

Never heard something like that.
Can you show it to us? Photo or Video?
hi guys sorry was busy working. will provide you with a picture later, cause i am not home now and cant upload the picture via iphone . [you can see clearly the watermark on the screen. the bootloader and other info is also on the screen. }> this is the info to the picture i will provide later. ok here some ifo: 6360.wm7_ppescrow
buildlab 20100618-1308
firmwarerevision 0.65.111.1
hardwarenr xb
bootloader 0.65.2230.1
can you start something with that?as i told you i will meet my friend next monday again hope someone can find a solution to the problem. if not its his problem. what he told me is that it seems that this phone is a prototype the firmware is also under 0.7. he got the phone from a stand where you get old stuff very cheap, and when he bought it the battery was very low so he didn't notice the watermark. I tryed my simcard and it works. he wants to use it, but not with that watermark. so i would be very gratefull if you tech guys out there can find a solution to the prob >>> we need an update to this nodo thing. every ruu i tryied failed with 1% rebooting directly the phone. I also tryed the chevron tool with no avail.. there must be a ruu for it but which one??? thanks again hope I get an answer soon see ya

Hi
heres the deal... Tried to root the SGS2, never did a backup, Used an Unsecured Kernel from a list on here, picked at random. I think I picked the wrong Kernel for my phone. It must have gotten Rooted, I see the yellow triangle, But I do not have any phone service anymore. Before someone finds me hanging in the shower... is there any help that can be offered to me?
Thanks,
BC
Have you tried to flash back to the stock kernel? You can probably find yours here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928
What kernel did you use?. Try installing the stock kernel whit odin, and then install the kernel cfroot, that way you will be as root, make a nandroid backup and flash what you want.
I USED KERNEL 2.6.35.7-I9100BOKE3-CL186387
Where can I find the stock kernel? Please bare with me, real new to this .
read this, you will be a big help, plus there are the download links.

Did you buy your phone from AT&T or T mobile? If yes you are in the wrong forum and using the kernel from a different model. Your phone isn't I9100, keep scroll down on the main page to the carrier specific subforum.

First thing First.
make sure you know what version of the phone you have.
I would go to settings> about phone and write down all the info there. This way you can figure out what you have so you know what you need.
This sgs2 phone is actually my friends. he rooted without reading up first. I had to do a bunch of reading and find out how to fix it. which I did.
I rooted my htc evo back in march, this sgs2 is a different process, so im learning all over again. only this time i kinda hane an idea of what people are talking about.
good luck
Hi guys
Sorry but i am a noob to all this so have proberly stupid questions.
After flashing to a customer rom i went back to a stock t-mobile rom. Problem i now face is when i try to download apps from other companies that are not on the app store eg mfortune they are unable to detect the type of phone i am using so i get "sorry we do not currently support your device" despite being able to do so before rooting and flashing. Is there a way i can change this with the release of skyGo on android this month i want to be able to download it. As it will be only on the galaxy s2 and HTC phones for some time i dont really want to wait.
Any help please???
Did you do a full whipe? Adding some details like model number, the rom you flashed and the one you came from may get you some more useful results.
As for the skyGo app, it won't take more than a day for it to pop up as an APK somewhere on the net.
Hello
Thanks for the reply i am currently in work so i cant look at my phone but will update on which firmware and kernal version i am running
I did however follow this guide to root reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-phones/how-to-root-your-samsung-galaxy-s2-50004972/[/url]
Not sure if that helps i did not however use the guide to flash the secure kernal maybe thats where i have gone wrong.
I will update the thread with the info later.
Thanks again
Ok got my Htc Flyer on a good deal its just the WiFi version only got it from CowBoom well be fore hitting the forums here i made the mistake more or less of updating to Honeycomb . Now from i can get is i need to downgrade to root it and even get a custom rom on it ? if that's the case the problem i am having is what RUU to get ? Keep trying to figure it out and i am lost . am i missing something here.. ANy help would be great .. Thanks guys..
First, see this post to determine which ruu you have
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18508220
Then this thread to downgrade

Man I'm lost too. I'm no noob to rooting and stuff but this stuff makes my head ache. I'm still not seeing exactly how to find the appropriate RUU. I have a US wifi only flyer with Honeycomb 3.2 on it.
Nevermind, I started reading instructions and I'm half way through the process now. I'm on stock honeycomb, unlocked bootloader, recovery installed, and super user app installed. Just waiting for the gingerbread firmware to download, but it takes 6-8 weeks off this stupid filefactory site. I thought I might pay to download quicker, but $12 for a month...what else am I going to download off there to make it $12?
I gotta go to bed soon, looks like I'll have to finish the S-OFF procedure tommorrow. EDIT My tablet is rooted...do I need to go any farther?
Edit again, I'm just going to do it. I want nothing stopping me from flashing ics when it you guys release your awesome project
Hello guys.. Hope you're ok..
I have a question.. Recently i bought a cellphone. . obviously a HTC ONE ATT.. but this cellphone was rooted and Google play edition was installed.. I was trying to install the att rom from htc.com .. (the oficial or original).. But I get some error like the rom is not the correct to my phone and that kind of stuff...
I have to do a extra step to give a rollback or this rom must work without problem??
I tried twice with same error.. I dont really like the google play edition android.. so.. would be great if you can help me..
thank you so much guys.. have a nice day.
You need to downgrade the HBoot. Here is a great page for the info, if you want to use the ATT RUU, just change it In step 5. Not sure why you would want to, considering you can have a Dev Edition with no ATT bloatware...
