i've use Wolfs TW Gingerbread rom and i never had this problem, but i want to go back to stock.
Help me, its this normal ?

You can use Pc companion to re-install a stoxl rom, than re-root it. Or reinstall the rom

Stock gingerbread rom is very laggy and slow. I think there is such a thing like fpsuncap or sth.like that, that makes the rom faster. I never used that, bwcause every custom ROM has that. Search for it in the dev forum.

[Q] How to make it default ?

Hello,
I have a x10i..
I wanted to try out different ROM hence used the tutorial available here (in the forum) to ROOT the device and install different ROM versions along with baseband and as such things..
Finally, I wanted to revert back to my default Sony given ROM..
Whats the official (Sony) process to restore or rather install the default SE ROM (that 2.1 android) ??
I tried that Sony PC Suite phone repair, but after restoration, with the default ROM, my device is not running smooth.. I dont have any apps installed apart from the default things which came after the phone repair, but still the phone is running dam slow and sluggish..
How can I get the performance issue solved ?? Did I missed anything in restoration process ?? (using the sony pc suite repair phone option) ??
I am really unhappy with this sluggishness so i am thinking that I must have done something wrong in the restoration process...
Any help would be appreciable..
Thanks
dude, the stock SE 2.1 is a slow and unsmooth rom.... it is lack in prformance.... theres a lot of 2.1 custom rom that performs better than the stock SE rom.. if u want a fast n smooth rom without any functionality lost... u should consider to usem them.... it is basically sooo laggy with the SE stock rom..... just so tht u know.....

If you have tons of apps downloaded and a whole bunch running all the time, your bound to see a hit in performance.
There's a few certain apps that i found to be just a hog in my performance
ie: timescape, face recognition, learning client to name a few.
I have taken my stock 2.1, rooted it and installed JIT...wiped a WHOLE bunch of useless apps, and my stock 2.1 is NOT by any means sluggish or laggy.
I consider it my own custom rom
Anyways, if you have root access, search for the threads for apps to delete to speed up your phone.
ps. after you reinstall the stock 2.1 from seus or pc companion, your device will be slower as it needs to build it all up again. So, in other words whenever you flash a new ROM or reflash stock 2.1 you have to give your phone time to get up and running full speed.

Ok.. I would wait.. may be this is what i needed to know.
I am using the stock rom and it runs smoothly enough I got jit enabler running, link2sd and sysctl config o get around 34k with linpack. Before rooting i had about 6-8 so major improvement. Used other roms aswell but if cam , wifi tethering isnt working proppetly on Custom roms then ill stick to my 2.1 tweaked rom

[Q] Touchscreen Not Working

Hi
This weekend my x10 mini pro turned of by itself and when it started up again the touchscreen never worked again.
I tried factory reset, dalvik cache clear, data clear, all of it. Reinstalled my MiniCM7Pro rom. Still no luck.
PLEASE help me if you can...
Thanks
And I just tried to install another ROM, still not working
Going to try original now
edit: (check edit 2)
Ok I cant use SEUS to repair my phone back to the original, since the phone needs to be connected to PC Companion, and I need the touchscreen for that...
What now?
Does anyone have the ROM for me so that I can install using xrecovery?
edit 2:
So looks like stock 2.1 rom works (but doesnt have dual touch)
It seems that the dual touch module/driver doesnt work on my phone anymore, where can I find an alternative touch module/driver for MiniCM7Pro v21?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey, no I used a stock SE 2.1 ROM I found here on XDA.
Now the phone is working 100%
BUT... I would like to install a custom ROM again, and I found MiniCM7Pro V21 to be the best/most stable. But all of a sudden the screen doesn't respond when touching it when I'm using that ROM (Same for CM6)
I am also facing the same issue....
Haven't found a solution yet though...
I guess we are stuck with the stock rom for now
Hope so somebody would find a solution to this problem...
Try fllashing any other rom.....i also had sme issue...i flashed cyancream still it didnt work, then minicm7pro still no touch response then finally I flashed stornmix and touchscreen was back again.....

Well i decided I'm not going to settle for stock 2.1 ROM, and installed the nAa kernel.
Then reinstalled MiniCM7Pro V21 and it worked.
However wifi did not work.
Now I am running MiniCM7-2.1.9 and everything works so far.
I would still like to revert back to MiniCM7Pro, since it was my absolute favourite ROM!
Minicm7pro does not hve wifi built from sources...so wifi wont work with nAa kernel..

Is there a way for me to include it in the ROM myself?
Eg: just copying the wifi files into the rom before installing?
Copying files wont solve your wifi issue..u can use zombiepanic kernel, or d4 kernel with minicm7pro....i thnk wifi works with these kernels

[Q] How to make most stable and fast Stock Rom ever?

Hi everyone!
I'm tired using custom roms for their instability and fc's everywhere for over a year I didnt found Rom that works perfect all the time with many apps installed so I just want to my phone work, dont want to flash new system every month again.
I was running stock with deleted apps, Set Cpu (tnx to gregbradley (edit: that was neoxx3m very good advidce, sorry my bad) and z-kernel for about 4 months and I was happy, that was one and only Rom that i've used so long. Yes it wasnt so fast but it was very stable and everything works so nice not even one fc. (kindda wierd couse ive installed z-kerner on my Unlocked BL x10 and now I can't and dont wanna to play and relock)
So i wanna repair my phone and get back to stock, root it, delete all uneeded apps and flash the most stable kernel so will it be failsafe from doom right?
And the question is will my plan work? I know that phone will not be so fast but will everything work and this is all I need or maybe someone has better idea?
Also have some questions about the newest fw for this Doom UB kernel. Where do i get this newest se fw?
Any help will be very appriciated.
Restore the phone back to stock using SEUS. That should do the trick

Last few ROMS Ive installed from scratch. So repair, root, etc I've even format sd card everythime i flash new rom. The question is:
Will doomkernel work on stock rom repaired in pc companion?
Will it be stable?
DoomKernel is stable on stock unlocked BL, but u have few version. X, S and one more i think. Look at his thread an try it.

It will work because when u repair ur phone via PCC u get latest firmware (2.3.3/3.x.x.x.x.x), but my advice is to try relock BL and use zKernel, i did that yesterday and i'm happy again!
Sent from my "z10i"
I told you that dont wanna play with bootloader no more, maybe for some time i would like to try some kernel or rom (if im not happy for using stock and doom) and will have to unlock again so im patience (tring to) and will not to this for a while.
Anyway strange is that i flash zKernel even if i had unlocked Bootloader and it work fine but when i tried to do this again ( didnt know that this kernel is fo Locked only) it didnt work

[Q] Best Gingerbread Rom for x10 without risk

Hi all... My phone screen touch stopped working after flashing on 2.3.3. You can read in this link about the problem But now my problem is solved. I took it to mobile service center and they charged me $10.
Now my phone is on Android version 1.6. You know that how is android 1.6 . So I want to upgrade my phone to gingerbread without any risk. I don't want my screen touch to run smoothly after update. So which ROM would be better for me? Do I have any risk again while I upgrade to gingerbread?
Here is my phone details:
Model number:x10i
Firmware version:1.6
Basebad version:1.0.14
Kernel version:2.6.29-rel [email protected] #2
Build number:R1FA014
My phone was x10a but after repair it's now x10i
I think that You can upgrade to gingerbread with SEUS. It doesn't work so smooth as android 1.6 or custom gingerbread ROM. but touchscreen should work normally

all perfect rom...ics may have some problems but the other rom is very cool
hey
i would strongly recommend you to flash fxp125... rom it is the best out there with no bugs or fc's or wlod's
i flashed it on my sister's phone and she hasn't complained to me even once of the phone hanging....
plus it not as restricting as other rom's has many customization options....
VOILA

cant root my x10 anymore

Hello Guys I hope you can help me. I am really not experienced but this really beats me:
Today I tried to flash a new ROM (cosmicMIUI by cosmicdan), was before on Dixperia 8 Gaming and semc.debrand engine kernel.
So I flashed.the kernel in the Rom.thread (a modded ckernel) and the Rom out of it (clean install of course) but it did not boot. So I retried? still no boot. After.third try I flashed back semc debrand.engine kernel and tried to boot the MIUI and fresh install which did not work. I tried to flash stock 2.3.3 stock kernel, thank god flashing still works, but I could not update it via SEUS which stopped at ~20% and stuck with screen on when I tried to boot it ( all the time). I remembered that I just read about a ftf file containing android 1.6. So I am on Cupcake now .
Whatever in Order to root and.install a custom Rom I tried to update. It worked via pcCompanion. So i had official 2.3.3 and.thought great lets.root!
But couldnt root, neither via flashtool (stopped after trying to push something, «waiting 60 seconds to stop pushing» or similar.
Also SOC didnt do it. After a reboot I got the black screen again. So I flashed back Cupcake and decided.to ask for.help here.
So what did.I do wrong (I already installed the Rom succesfully this way)? What is broken? And what shall I do to get back?
I am still having a.backup of Dxiperia.8, so it should.be enough to boot a kernel, my bootloader.is not locked and it seems like.I could flash kernels (at.least.the Cupcake Package).
Best Greets and thanks in advance
could someone point me a tutorial how to creat .ftf files from a rom.zip and a kernel.ftf? would that work?

Hello I have a stock generic flashed now and all seems to work. Only problem is that i cant root anymorre, flashtool stops after 60 seconds of waiting to push theroot files and superoneclick doesnt seem to identify my device and asks if i am sure that it is on 2.0+
whats wrong and what can i do? of course i have usb debugging on
Greets
Did you try to flash some 2.1 generic official? I have one .ftf, version 2.0.A.0.504_Generic or 2.1.A.0.435_Generic (I have it in the same folder and don't know which one is "magical"). Everytime I had some problems, some big bricks that I feel it's incredible to fix, one of this ftf's helped me. If I good rememver it was .504, but check two of them (if you won't be able to find it anywhere just PM me for help ), it makes your phone preeeetyyyy cleeeaaaan, fix all kernel files and make impossible clean-up with system - maybe that's only my X10, but any other official .ftf help me when I had some problems. Maybe it's a FlashTool version, which is best for me. The version is 0.2.8.0 (Java version 1.6.0_24, OS Version 6.2). Cheers mate, reply back ASAP with some changes .

You really should buddy - many .ftf, many ideas, and only this one FlashTool and this one generic system (one of that two, still don't remember, better try two of them ) always help me with most "normal" problems. Write back about success or not .
