Installed the latest AOKP coming from SHOstock2.1. Google Play fc's immediately. Doesn't show the store at all. Only the stopped responding msg. Tried reinstalling gapps to no avail. Google Play works fine when I restore my SHOstock2 backup. Using siyah 3.1 kernel with both roms. These are the ICS based roms.
Any ideas?

I don't know what "tibu" is but it sounded similar to the Home app for AOKP (trebucket) so I decided to delete the data for that program and reboot and BAM Google play loads fine. Much apprecited. =) I'm at work so I didnt want to do a full wipe and risk a temp brick of my phone. I dont have access to Odin here and I was having all sorts of trouble trying to upgrade to Shostock2.2.
Thanks for the help!

With the newest market update, I am constantly getting force closes with it. I am running CM7 (2.3.5, kernel 2.6.35.7) and the market version in question would be 3.1.3. I have tried clearing the app cache and uninstalling the update. I also tried using one of the old market apks, but it just updates and I am back to square one.

Same here. I a tually have a backup of a MIUI.us ROM loaded with all my app's. I load that and do update any apps needed. Use Titanium to backup the update. Then reload over to my CM7 and restore the app's freshly updated. Its a pain but I don't know what else to do for now.
I just noticed today that the Market Feedback is version 2.3.4, which I wonder if is related to the kernel version.

That was the first thing I did. I even made sure to wipe my phone 3 times. All I did was install nightlies 176 (then also did the same for 177/178) and first thing I installed after setup was the new v3.1.3 market. It still FCed. So I wiped again and tried v3.0.27 and now it FCs. Which is confusing the crap out of me I can't go backwards.

Actually had to go back to the 03/07/2011 version of GAPPS. I flashed that under root. Then fixed permissions. Rebooted and opened the old market. Agreed to the terms. Sat and downloaded ROM Manager (just picked a random app to see if it would crash). Downloaded and installed fine. Closed the old market. Noticed my launcher icon changed from the old market icon to the new one. Opened the market again and it had updated. Checked "My Apps" and was finally able to update my needed apps.
On a side note I opened up Titanium Backup PRO and noted three apps that were new.
- FOTA Kill v1.0
- Google Backup Transport v3.0
- Talk v1.3 (no idea why that's a new app)
Haven't rebooted yet, but that's a step in the right direction at least....

goto your system settings > languages menu and just change the language to english. This should fix it. I also tried many things, but this worked. using cm7 on desire Z.

Yeah I tried that and it did not work. Even selecting English again did not work. But at least there are options, as some work for different setups!
Weird issue but I haven't heard much about it since last week. Hopefully something like this doesn't pop up with every update!

My apps are not showing up under 'my apps', only about half of them show up. The play store says 95 apps installed when I actually have around 200 apps installed. I have tried clearing Play Store data, tried wipe cache in recovery, tried wipe dalvik but nothing seems to work.
I have also tried using the market doctor feature in titanium backup which said 135 links need to be fixed but it still did not work.
I am running cMiui Jelly Bean with latest siyah 5.0 kernel.
Any help is appreciated

Try deleting your Gmail account and then logging in again. Also have you changed the DPI?

Already tried deleting Gmail and I haven't changed DPI. I might just reflash rom and see what happens
Currently running on JB4.1.2 Resurrection Remix 3.1.1 with DorimanX 7.18 kernel and Baseband: I9100XXLPX
I am having strange experience with Google Play store.
I have already tried all options (found on various threads here)
Problem is:
1. I can't update any app which i've restored using Titanium Backup, for example AngryBirds Space. In Play store, once I click update, then it is stuck in "downloading...." status.
But I can download it if I uninstall the app and try the fresh install.
2. I can't update built-in apps such as SuperSU, Youtube, Extweak, StreetView, Google Play Music, Update me!
They all stuck in "downloading...."
I have tried clearing Paly store data and removed the google account. But nothing worked.
I have even flashed the Stock ICS 4.0.3 and re-rooted the device and reinstalled Resurrection Remix 3.1.1
Any suggestion?
I installed multi dpi Play store 3.9.17
But still problem remains : can't download updates of apps from market.

Tried that several times!
Ok. Try wipeing the cache in recovery. Or clear data in setting>application>Google Play Store.
Hope it works

Besides the questions asked above, what is the error message you're getting?
I assume you're talking about the cm9 nightly. I haven't had any problem with it, and I'm now running the 11/25 one.
Something you could try is backing up your user apps with titanium, then do a factory, cache and dalvik cache wipe, then reinstall the rom again. Then restore your user apps. Flash the appropriate gapps then run the gapps fixer utility. Do a search for it, it's in here somewhere
Hope this helps, good luck.
If you are talking about one of the errors that don't let you download or update apps, I ran into the same problem. I fixed it by going to "System Settings -> Accounts & Sync" then removing the google account. Then when you open your Play Store App you can re-add your account.
So, I have the AOKP ROM on my phone and I decided to update my ROM through the updater that came with the ROM.
After updating it, I started having pop ups with 'android.process.acore'. It keeps telling me that it was crashing.
So, after researching, I uninstalled my Facebook and cleared my Contact Data etc.
Then I realized that after updating my ROM, my Gmail, G-Talk, and Google Play Store stopped working/uninstalled.
Every time I try to open the play store, it would crash and force close....
After multiple times, I decided to restore factory settings and wipe data/clear cache through recovery mode and reinstalled the ROM the old school way (downloading it online and storing it onto my SD card).
After properly installing the new ROM (AOKP), I still don't have my Google Play Store. I've tried to get my phone to download and install the APK file online, but my phone doesn't recognize the apk file.....
Now, I don't know what to do. I think I f'ed up..... Help? I tried searching it already......
Please and thank you for reading.
