Winamp is a good and free player: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5udWxsc29mdC53aW5hbXAiXQ..
Don't know if it plays wma though, you should test that

Hmm well, I'm sure PowerAMP will play them, it's a really good player but the downside is that it doesn't come for free . A player that might also be able to play the files is Doubletwist but someone wrote this about it on a forum:
On the Android app, this varies depending on the device as doubleTwist uses the system libraries for playback. Some devices such as the Droid 2 and the Droid X come with WMA support while other devices do not.
Thanks,
Henry

if you don't want to spend the money and the above player doesn't work you could also consider converting the wma files to a playable format depending on how many files you have. Hope this helps
Ok but one last question: i searched a lot, so i may ask: Is there any free converter

Hello Guys..
Suggestions please I tried almost 20 apps from market in last two days but could not find any good app to watch movies of high quality on my x10i
I find moboplayer the best player so far. It plays a lot of formats and it supports subtitles too. It also plays high quality videos with no or minimum lag.

RockPlayer 1.0.28
Arcmedia, it's no frills, but has worked with every media i've thrown at it, just don't be retarding your cpu and it works a treat

I'm using 0.34b and it does support them, look at the settings menu, you need to switch subtitles on and they must be in srt format, but it works, no problem!

is there any music player that doesn't automatically scan all the sd card?
i listen to audiobooks on my phone too and currently using winamp but it lists all the audiobook files as well as the my music tracks which is a bit annoying. tried stock player which has the same behaviour.

why don't you set folder view in winamp...you can select sibgle folder to play
Power Amp. You can select the folder for your mp3 and it will scan only them.

There are other options too.
MIXZING for example it has both the functions that you need.scan a particular folder as well as play by folder.
U can give it a try but nothing beats power amp.using it from a long time.if you can afford it just go for it.
Edit: mixzing is free

unfortunately i can't afford poweramp but I'll give mixzing a try, thanks

well mixzing seemed perfect, love the interface but it doesn't play flac!!! such a pity because it seems a great player apart from that.

Great
I downloaded the trial of Pavtube Video Converter just to test it... And O M G Its taking over 1 hour to convert 1 movie 800mb!!! Thats slow... Is this normal?.. can someone please tell me what I should do Any tips?
I download my movies and they usually come in AVI, MKV, MOV sometimes MP4.. I was told the g3 cannot take AVI because of all the different codecs that they could come in, so you will need to convert it but guys I need the best tool for this.
Moderator edit - no asking for warez
THank you
Edit your post please Warez is banned on XDA and you are stealing from XDA members in many cases .

Look for vid con on the play store and u can try it for free for 3 days! Seems fine for me

you have been so wrongly informed - the GS3 will run those file justs fine (without the need for any conversion). If not you have issues using the stock player - use a 3rd party player than can play using software decoding.

Google "handbrake". Best free converter there is
If you download MX Player for free from the Play store then you can play all the most common video formats like avi, mp4, flv, mkv and many more. I use this myself and not had any problems at all.
Hope this helps.

Could you be more specific or possibly provide a link. Googling video converter pulls up a bunch of free ones and I'm not sure which you're referring to. Thanks!
For me, I use asoftech video converter, you may download and have a try
