I Got my neo v yesterday. Im on rooted 0.62 firmware. Everytime i switch on the screen, the phone gets really hot, like about 35 degrees. But i dont do anything cpu heavy with it. Just writing a sms, or using the xda app. Can this be normal? Or should i send my phone back? Also the battery drains very fast.. Could have something to do with that issue i think. I have an xperia play too. I never noticed this issue on my play. I Hope You can help me, cause the neo v is a great device, but i think i have to give it back, if thats a problem, every neo v has

I wanted to say that my battery loses a lot of power in a short Time. Like 10% in 1- 2 hours without doing anything. But the question is, if its normal, that the neo v gets so hot? 37 degrees right now and its the Part above the camera, not the battery. I tried underclocking to 800 mhz. Still the Same result. I hope You can help me. Otherwise i think i'll send it back.

He want's to make sure it's not software problem. Which is wise thing to do, before blaming hardware and paying a visit to service center.
It's ok, not everyone know that some problems can be caused by software, so they bug themselves with service centers. While for you or me or someone else, first thought would be clean flash.
Indeed, it can be caused by software. My neo is not running hot anymore since I use ics roms. It was burning on ginger when using data.

Sorry, i am knew to this forum and did not know, that you can find stock firmwares in a develpoment section. My question about the .ftf file has something to do with my problem. actually the hint with the sticky threads was quite helpful to me. thank you for that. i'll try it as soon as possible. And sorry for braking the law, by asking two questions

Hi my Sony x10 screen flipped and mirrored itself :S when I touch the screen it works as it usually do but all the icons background etc... flipped and mirrored. Nothing was done to the phone. Just when I was trying to use it it messed up.
Any ideas :S
Already tried restarting (battery and sim out), issue remains
I will see if I can put up a screen shot in few hours when I reach home from work
Try flashing the stock rom throw the SE Update service OR SE Pc Companion OR the Flash Tool....
should fix the problem.....
If not....
then mayb its a hardware issue....

from what I think it is hardware issue, my device is out of warranty but called Rogers (cell carrier) and they said to call back tomorrow and they might send a different replacement device :S I will post updates tomorrow... thanks guys

Well, I know I'd most probably sound stupid, but since the thought stuck on my mind, I figured that not asking would be much worse!
On topic, I also see a line with stuck pixels so it's definitely a hardware issue imho.
I hope you'll get it sorted out with Rogers soon!

I have some problem with my xperia active touchscreen.
Its gonna untouchable on some are at top(on a line with volume key) and right bottom ( at backspace T9 keyboard).
I was test it with Service Setting Menu ( *#*#7378423#*#*) and bellow result.
I make line from top to bottom,but the line break on untouchable area that i said.On top screen and on right bottom.

I was update firmware to 4.0.2.A.0.62 but that cannot fix the problem.
Sometimes i have problem too with my home,back and menu key.Its gonna crazy vibrate when heat about 45 celcius.
I have read another thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1387605 ) that have simillar problem with me,but that on Xperia Mini.Can it apply on my Xperia Active and how?

i have a friend with a mini and he just took the phone to the service center for recalibration.
if your comfortable doing the steps indicated in the thread then go ahead,
but if units is still under warranty i would recommend just taking it to the service center.
Hello there, i have the same problem.with my touchscreen...i also had the same problem with the back buttons etc. But i sent it to a service centre,and (as the receipt says) they changed the shield can...it was getting overheat and the back button was presswd on it's own... I thnk you should send it to a service centre

Be patient, it will take some time before people check this thread and post the answer.
As I said, it depends on the shop, how many other phones need to be repaired, if the parts are available etc.

Since I had a hard and long time to find thing for my Live with Walkman, I suggest to change the name of the forum from "Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active, Ray" to "Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active, Ray, Live with Walkman"

I don't think the moderators would ignore it if some one actually PM'd them the request. It is easy to miss something like this thread because it is in the right place...there are more than 4000 threads in Mini, Mini Pro, Active, Ray General and almost 40,000 posts....and only 9 moderators...I won't even mention the number of noobs (too depressing!)... Seriously, just ask one of them....

Yes, you are right, we own lovely little phone- X10 Mini & X10 Mini Pro!
We all love it, right? But many people are moving to new high end devices.
Due to that, our X10 Mini forum is getting less users, making our forum less active.
But we have to save & keep your forum alive and active.
We have to save it before it is too late or there will be not may users and our forum will be dead. (Sorry I was too excessive here)
We can save our forum by
-participating in development
-posting posts (No I don't just mean bumping posts with useless things)
-staying active with other members
-doing something for developers to make their project better
and much more we can do to save it...(tell me)
So, please participate on keeping the forum active by doing these.
(This is just my opinion. I hope you to participate)

I know what you might feel, but it's normal and I'm afraid that you can't do much. I'm using X8 and I want to move to another phone really soon, because, to use some less profane words, it's not so good as it was in 2010 / early 2011.

I agree in the idear to get users active in dev and problem solving. So I ask of all to share all knowledge so it won't be lost.
I never claim ownershop to anything I come up with - i know some are very protective about their work, and i respect that - but to free the projects and urge others to improve apk, mods etc. will activate a lot of passive users...... I hope

Sadly my u20i's battery isn't healthy anymore. From full charge then, 8 hours later, with the phone turned off my battery is down to the yellow line. I wont be doing much with this mighty mini but it did serve me well. Maybe ill be using that for test, noh?

My phone is fully functionaly, i bought a sony tab, so i dont want a new phone this phone (u20) is perfect and i love it i'll never sell or change it regards dudes

Sammobile has all the official firmwares for each samsung phone. That is 100% guaranteed.
So, please be mature enough and search before posting. XDA is not a place where you order people impolitely since you do not "own" any of these people who are here.
XDA users/developers are doing the work 100% voluntarily and it is not nice to be rude to them.
Don't be spoonfed, search, search, search and if you think you have searched enough, search again.
Your 6 years of "experience" should be enough to know where to find official firmware.

@SmallFri98 So here's the thing since you're not very experienced on this site, there are a couple things to keep in mind. First there's an old saying that it's better to use sugar than vinegar. Secondly you should take a peak at the Rules on XDA and become familiar with them. Rule 1. Search before posting and also rule 2.3 flaming/lack of respect. Even after you were given the link you kinda got a bit sassy with people which is not a good practice and I can assure you that you will not get very far or get much support that way. This site can be fantastic and very helpful but if you're just going to get abrasive with people that are helping you then you will not enjoy your time on here. Anyway since the answer to your question has been given this thread no longer serves a purpose.
