Hi all,
My LG C555 (Optimus Chat) is "network-unlocked" (done with the help of a Koodo technician) but it won't connect to the Fido network (GSM and/or HSPA network), it will never authenticate my Fido SIM card.
I've searched everything on the web and it looks like even though the phone is "unlocked", there is still a value somewhere on the phone that still says it's related to Koodo provider?! An hard-reset won't do anything different unfortunately.

What can I do to make it work on my Fido network?
Could I install a new ROM which would erase those "operator" values?
If so, which ROM/tools should I use?

I have a dell streak 5 retail unlocked phone/tablet running stock 2.2.2 and after rooting my phone I am no longer able to connect to any cell network, I followed this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17965116&postcount=11 to flash the latest stock unlocked retail ROM and recovery but still no reception ?
Check for APN names (settings/wireless networks/mobile networks/APN names) I don't know who your carrier is, but for US T-Mobile, the APN name is: epc.tmobile.com (this should be entered into the APN name field).... if it's not there, manually enter it. Hope that helps

Hy. I have some quoestions about my phone S2 Winmax
First - Can i use an S2 LTE HD ron to install on my phone?
Second - Can anyone help me to unlock it? It is locked on KDDI Japan. I have searched on many sites and found something, but they are asking for IMEI, and on my phone i have MEID. But the phone has a slot for sim card.
Third - If i can unlock it can i use it on a Gsm network? I know that the phone is CDMA and GSM.

1. I would stay away from flashing roms until the phone is understood more and developers start making roms for it.
2. unfortunately you need to search for an pnline company that supports the wimacx versions. You could explain the situation and they mayber able to help you unlock the phone.
3. Yes, depending on what bands the phone supports, you may need to gfo with bell or telus as they have support for cdma/gsm phones.

I have a problem, my photon is always roaming to other mobile networks.
I'm not from the US, but the phone was bought from the US.
I've checked before on GSMARENA that the photon supports my network. but now when I'm searching for networks I can only see other networks.
When I'm entering my SIM card to other devices I can find my network, the photon is the only device that can't find it.
I've changed the original ROM to the following: [ROM][GB] Hybrid (Stock/CM7), Multilingual, Deblur,
According to what it said I've flashed 254_12 libmoto_ril.so after flashing the ROM.
(my bootloader is locked as I am using 2.3.5 ...)
My friend told me that I may need to find a way to change the device's radio- is that correct?
If so, what should I do?

I downloaded Xperia_X10_Firmware_TMobile_UK & Xperia_X10i_2.1.A.0.435_TMOB-UK_GENERIC_1238-8324
Would I be able to install both Firmware & Rom to use with T-mobile USA?
Would this also remove the AT&T lock and accept my T-mobile card?
I haven't tried it yet,I figured I'd ask the experts.

the x10a was made for AT&T, you must first sim unlock the device to get it to work with t-mobile. you can download x10a firmware from THeLogiC's thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749426
since the x10a doesn't have the aws radios required for t-mobile's 3G network, you would only get 2G at best. good luck & hope this helps.
I would have liked to put this question in Paulicat's rom thread, but hey I'm not allowed. I installed the rom (link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2771440), on my Bell Optimus G E973, which I use with Virgin Mobile Canada (same network as Bell). However I am unable to get any data network connection to work, even after having setup APNs for either Bell or Virgin. I'd appreciate any hep or suggestions anyone may provide in getting data to work for me.
I've gone through the original rom thread but still cannot get data to work. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
Sadly, I've had the identical problem with my E970 on AT&T's GoPhone service. Every other ROM works perfectly fine.
