I have a problem, my photon is always roaming to other mobile networks.
I'm not from the US, but the phone was bought from the US.
I've checked before on GSMARENA that the photon supports my network. but now when I'm searching for networks I can only see other networks.
When I'm entering my SIM card to other devices I can find my network, the photon is the only device that can't find it.
I've changed the original ROM to the following: [ROM][GB] Hybrid (Stock/CM7), Multilingual, Deblur,
According to what it said I've flashed 254_12 libmoto_ril.so after flashing the ROM.
(my bootloader is locked as I am using 2.3.5 ...)
My friend told me that I may need to find a way to change the device's radio- is that correct?
If so, what should I do?

Hi,
I have a SIM Unlocked and Bootloader Unlocked ATT Atrix 4G. I checked the SIM unlock by using a H2O sim in the phone and it did work.
Now am in India and I am trying to use the phone but there is no network bar.
I have tried to turn the radio on and off using the *#*#INFO#*#* keys and the option is set to GSM prl.
However still I cant seem to find any network when i am searching for available networks
Can someone pls help with this ?
SOLVED : I installed the radio for Asia from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19191564 and it solved my problem

Good afternoon all;
I've been frequenting XDA and installing custom roms on my phone now since before Christmas :3 and all the developers are amazing!
I am currently running wolf's rom with doomkernel 1133 and have an unlocked BL
My question is regarding the network connectivity with all other roms... I can connect to Rogers network just fine with wolf's and my stock firmware, and despite reading on the CM7 roms that GSM function is working... I'm still unable to connect to any network... Was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem... and if so what can I do to correct it?

Is this not possible to correct? Am I missing something?... I would love to be able to use a CM rom or anything other than Wolf's for a change if someone could assist... Could I be missing something in the flash process?

Sorry should have mentioned that the APN network settings are all there, Rogers Network is showing Im just not able to connect to it... It's appearing as though GSM/HSPA functions of the ROM aren't working...though the ROM states otherwise.

My LG C555 (Optimus Chat) is "network-unlocked" (done with the help of a Koodo technician) but it won't connect to the Fido network (GSM and/or HSPA network), it will never authenticate my Fido SIM card.
I've searched everything on the web and it looks like even though the phone is "unlocked", there is still a value somewhere on the phone that still says it's related to Koodo provider?! An hard-reset won't do anything different unfortunately.

Hy. I have some quoestions about my phone S2 Winmax
First - Can i use an S2 LTE HD ron to install on my phone?
Second - Can anyone help me to unlock it? It is locked on KDDI Japan. I have searched on many sites and found something, but they are asking for IMEI, and on my phone i have MEID. But the phone has a slot for sim card.
Third - If i can unlock it can i use it on a Gsm network? I know that the phone is CDMA and GSM.

1. I would stay away from flashing roms until the phone is understood more and developers start making roms for it.
2. unfortunately you need to search for an pnline company that supports the wimacx versions. You could explain the situation and they mayber able to help you unlock the phone.
3. Yes, depending on what bands the phone supports, you may need to gfo with bell or telus as they have support for cdma/gsm phones.
I have a photon 4G imported from US , which was a Sprint Network phone. Its working success on Indian GSM operators, but when I use an Indian CDMA sim from Reliance or Tata, I frequently get an error saying Android system.process has stopped working. What is that ? & How can I make use of that. Do I need to flash the ROM before I use CDMA services.
