I have just installed CM9 on my NT for the second time after having to reset because of some hardware issues that required a return to the store. I had no problems with the first install and everything ran smooth for quite some time. Now, though, I am experiencing random reboots and SD card mounting issues. Can anyone provide any insight? Thank you guys ahead of time.

Has anyone experience random reboot issue with stock rom,
I've tried nearly every rom out there, and still get random freezes & reboots. StarBursts rom seems to be the best for me.
I have stock Verizon GT 10.1 4g LTE. No problems here.
My tabs been freezing on me and causing me to have to reboot it multiple times per day which is really getting on my nerves now its reminding me if my windows mobile days. Anyone has any suggestions. It seems to happen alot when switching home screens and on the web broswer
I am running Blackend 2.5.4 with AnthraX 2.6.38.8 and I have a PNY 32GB class 10 micro sd card. Has anyone else exprienced alot of random reboots when device is accessing apps or items from SD card? I have been running this rom for about 2 months and when I moved all my movable apps to the sd card, i would reboot about 10 to 15 times a day. First I thought it was a bad install, so I reflashed the rom. Same issues started after about 3 days of use. I reflashed the rom again a week ago, however this time I am left the apps on the internal memory. My 10 to 15 random reboots have reduced down to 1 to 2. These reboots only occur when the device is accessing MP3 located on the SD card. Any insights what could be causing this issue?
Try this to see if it will help.

Didnt work
Still was having the same issue as before. I also notice that phone will also freeze and reboot when the screen rotated via the accelerometer. Looks like I will be moving away from this rom. Which sucks because it was a nice skin with cool add on features.
Try flashing a different kernel.

Oh, u
I installed CM9 alpha 0.03 and the wifi will not stay connected. The routers that worked perfectly with CM7 will not work with CM9, anyone else had/having trouble with wifi when using CM9?
Yes!! I had the same issue when I loaded it last night. went back to cm7 till the 3.0 kernal comes out.
Really, I haven't had this problem at all. Try turning the router. Also what wifi security type is it?

I rebooted the NT a couple times and so far (2 hours) the wifi is working as it should. I have been using this at work on two wireless routers and I'll be trying it at home soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed, I hope the wifi problem was temporary. I'm loving CM9 otherwise.
Edit: The wifi security is WPA2.
One little update on my wifi problem. The wifi was working perfectly at work and at home until I ran an app that needed the sd card mounted (I figured it was mounted at boot but it wasn't) so I removed/replaced the sd card and bam, the wifi stopped working. I repeated this 5 times, same result every time, so I need to find out what is causing this problem.
I'm having the same problem. My wifi drops out when I run certain apps. For me, it's dropped out when running Gmail or any mail app, and BBC World News app so far.
This was not a problem at all until I changed my email passwords. Probably a coincidence but it happened at the exact same time.
I'd just like to give an update to say that this randomly stopped happening as randomly as it started. I've no idea what the cause is.

I am also having a problem. I am running CM9 externally and my wifi was working great until one day it just would not turn on. I tried rebooting it to no avail. Wifi still works in CM7 and stock ROM. Anybody have an idea to fix it? Thanks.
External is susceptible to getting corrupted. I would backup by TiB folder first... then I would just reformat the card ( sdformatter 3.1 ) and re make it. Hey, try Jelly Bean !

Well I cleared data and reflashed. Everything is working again. Just curious, I thought the JB build for NT was still beta? And just to got totally noob on you, how would I flash it to a sdcard partition? Thanks for the help.

My bad. Jelly Bean is not 'external sd card' ready. Those guys are super smart, so maybe, hopefully, it will be soon.
.
I wonder if Succulent is working on it also ?
Hello guys,
To get right to it, everything was fine when I was on MIUI 2.5.18 but when I updated to 2.6.1 the issue started happening. I will try to explain the issue to the best of my ability.
About 4-5 times a day my phone will just out of no where become ungodly slow as in it takes the phone ~45 seconds to recognize a touch on the screen or push of a button. So when this starts I have to reboot, and normally I have to Hard Reboot (hold power till GT-i9100 screen appears). I was running Neak at the time so I switched to Siyah and it as still an issue, I also updated to 2.6.8 but that did not help either. Last night, I changed to AOKP thinking it may be a ROM issue and even on the stock Kernel I still have the issue...
At this point I believe it may be a phone issue. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you fix it if so? Should I attempt a flash back to Stock and run that for a while and see how it goes?
I will try and get a video today if my room mate comes home.
Thanks in advance!

I had the random slowdown issues with NEAK - but never had that on CM9 or Siyah kernels and not on ktoonsez's MIUI kernel as well.
Basic stuff - did you do a complete wipe - cache, dalvik cache, format /system and ran Jivy's kernel cleaning script just to be sure?
Does it happen during a certain activity e.g. opening a certain app or anything else? Do you have any memory management apps installed?
May need to try the cleaner script but yes complete wipe with both cache's and system when I went to AOKP
and no its totally random just when ever it feels like it. As far as memory management I went through the agonizing long steps when it was slow and only about 500mb of memory was being used and only on occasion does it go over 600mb
What are some good memory management programs?
There are so many variables I would say flash back to.stock completely, (wipe first obviously) then see if problem persists. If it does then u know its a hardware issue.

i had a similiar problem on my captivate after installing a eurokrank rom. i found that if u have the govenor set to powersaver it made my phone really slow/ laggy. once i changed it to ondemand or performance it picked right back up. maybe tinker with that and see if it maybe clears it up a bit
Cleaner script seemed to work! Never thought I would ever have to use it but oh well.
It has not happened all weekend, so we will see how it goes the rest of the week!
Thanks again guys!!!
A few months ago I finally had time to upgrade from ME7 to NC5, which I did using the full wipe Odin tar. I installed Safestrap 3.75, and to slot 1 the latest Eclipse rom (I had been using the ME7 version of Eclipse since I first got the phone). I have two minor issues that have bugged me ever since I made the change. I believe they may be due to a dirty flash, which makes me think I should re-flash the rom. They are:
1) For the first day or two of the rom being booted, I am unable to change the keyboard for some reason. This isn't really a problem, because after soft rebooting, this problems does not occur; it will only happen again after the device is fully powered off.
2) My main issue is with Wi-Fi. It works fine most of the time, however, while watching videos in either YouTube or MX Player (over a samba share), sometimes the video will stop playing and I need to press play to continue. I believe this has to do with Wi-Fi, although I am not 100% sure. Sometimes, YouTube will give a connection error before loading the video list. In addition, sometimes Twitch freezes and the chat resets, but the video starts playing again after about a second. The weird thing is, these are the only problems I seem to have with Wi-Fi. Neither of these problems happened on ME7, and I have tried on a few different networks to confirm it still happens.
I mainly wanted to make this post to ask if anyone has input on my situation. Perhaps a way to fix these problems, which I have not seen anyone else post about, or if I should indeed re-flash the rom. In the case that I should re-flash the rom, I was wondering if I could restore a backup of the data partition to prevent needing to have to install apps and configure the phone once more. I feel like this may cause problems as well, which is why I am asking about it. Also, in the case that re-flashing the rom entirely does not help with the problems, I can simply restore a backup to the slot and be back where I started, right? Even if I can not fix these problems, they are fairly minor and I can live with them if I have to, however, I would much prefer to fix them.
I appreciate any input on my situation.
Thanks!
