Hi All,
I am from Greece.
I have just upgraded my SAMSUNG GT-I9100 from KIES with the latest Firmware
PDA:LPC / PHONE:LP6 / CSC:LP6 (VGR)
In my phone (About Phone)
Android Version
4.0.3
Baseband version
I9100BULP6
Kernel version
3.0.15-I9100XWLP3-CL287862
[email protected] 168#3
Build number
IML74K.BULPC
Does anybody knows what is the proper root package?
I have already rooted with
CF-Root-SGS2_XW_O2U_LP3-v5.4-CWM5
but it seems that it is not working properly.
Although rooted some programas do not work
e.g. Absolute System Pro
If CWM is working, you can try to install supersu.zip. Maybe that will help.

just reset super user app, you would have probably denied rott permissions for those apps when asked for the first time.
Just do a full wipe and reinstall your firmware with Odin. Then follow this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719

This is the second version of the Galaxy Mega 6.3 root solution.
It replaces the original rootable kernel.
This version comes with SuperSU 1.41 preinstalled and the su and busybox pathes have been changed to achieve better compatibility with some root applications.
The vcoreroot-v2.tar file can be flashed with Odin as PDA.
Keep Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time selected.
Use at your own risk, I'm not responsible for bricking your device.
Download: vcoreroot-v2.tar

It basically does the same thing. It's just more compatible with some apps like the Multi Window Manager and SuperSU is preinstalled.

To completely unroot the device you have to uninstall SuperSU before re-flashing the device with the original ROM.
SuperSU can be uninstalled via the SuperSU settings menu.
Hi VCore
The Odin v3.07 works well for kernel's. To flash a new Stock Rom is all compatible and safe on i9205?
For example, the LTE modem have a size about 48 MB and is on 3 partitions like this:
rwxrwxrwx root root 2013-01-01 02:26 modem -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
lrwxrwxrwx root root 2013-01-01 02:26 modemst1 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p11
lrwxrwxrwx root root 2013-01-01 02:26 modemst2 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
It will be good on Odin?
What do You think?
Valente
You can flash the vcoreroot-v2.tar boot image with Odin v3.07.
It is confirmed to work on GT-I9205 and GT-I9200 devices and includes the LTE driver.
LTE will of course be ignored on the GT-I9200.

btw how long does your battery last?
Well I went full stock on ICS so I can update to JB and after updating and installing custom recovery (TWRP 2.6.3.0) I tried to install Superuser or SuperSU
but both say "Can't update binary,contact the dev" or something,and other times "No binary installed and the app can't install it".
I actually can't remember how I rooted my phone the 1st time on ICS and can't remember what I should do now -_-
