Is there anyway to record calls on the Rezound? On my Galaxy S with custom ROMS I think it was pretty standard with them. Every ROM I ran had that feature, just had to push the record button while on a call and it recorded the call.
Thanks!
UPDATE: I've tried a couple of call recording apps from the Marketplace and they dont work either. Apparently the Kernel has to support it. Seems like the only kernel that does is Ziggy's. But it appears to be an old kernel, its 5 months old (12/2011) so I assume it wont work on ICS ROMs. Does anybody have and info on any other kernels that possibly support this that are newer and will work with the new ICS ROMS??
???

Have to agree with this Might fire up one of my old Nokias and test someday though I guess
I can pause while recording using the epic 4g.

I know I am in the wrong forum and not too sure if it would of changed from the SGS1 captivate to the SGS2 but even when I was on stock or custom roms I was always able to pause the video recorder and restart it. I just would hit the record button on screen to records, then hit the record button to pause it. Then hit the record to continue recording. If you hit the stop button it will not continue.

I'm not sure why we can't do it on our phones, but the Samsung Infuse can do it. So its not a limitation of Android, its Samsung's decision not to allow us this feature.

We get a dedicated pause button on our camera. Samsung doesn't love you.
But no seriously, why would they have that in every gs1 phone variant, but not the gsii?
Are you holding it the wrong way?

Well, because I want to have the possibility to choice of recording in a big 1 file (with pause buttom) or in multiples files.
Pause button since my W810i, N96, N97, N8 and N900.
Very strange indeed, that they removed this feature.
I don't find this as a big problem cause it's fast and easy to put several together using "Video maker".
My friends laughed out on me when GS2 couldn't do a simple job as this when their Nokia phones could Hope GS2 had the pause feature.

Symbian isn't as dumb as you say. Might be a disaster commercially all right though ...
Good question actually makes a refreshing change to see a valid question on here as opposed to "can i root" what is the best ROm for battery life" and other such nonsense that is duplicated on here on a daily basis!!
This isn't something ive ever thought of and if i was recording something chances are i wouldn't be pausing, however knowing you have the option to do this would be very good indeed and i too am puzzled why this option is not available on the SGSII?
maybe it's something some devs could look into?

Then we can see some pausing action in my GS2! Gonna do a matrix kind video with it Good luck!
I just shot a video of my son playing there and there is no definitely no option to pause the video, surely some dev can come up with some hack here?
Anybody found a solution or an alternative video recorder ?
I'm gonna check camera apk and see what can be done.

I applied the wifirootcamera fix file and it left my phone stuck on boot. The first time I didn't make a backup so I had to reinstall everything from and old back up I made a long time ago :/
Restoring backup and trying the other fix file.
EDIT: Applied the second fix file and I don't know what to check if its fixed. Wifi connected a little quicker though. Still had some problems but worked a little faster.

And I know what you mean with those black lines. I got those on stock rom too. I'm guessing its a hardware thing. But I've only noticed them when I see the pics on the phone and not on the pc. And also, its only in a couple of pics too so its not really all that.
Try the MIUI Camera app.. i think it is slightly better than the CM7 camera.. also it has touch to focus.. i.e focus anywhere on the screen..
Does any of the rom's have a mic working?

No. It's a hardware/driver issue across the board.

s-voice for ics only, even then it had to be modified as its exclusive for Samsung s3.
If it worked in gb even if it was not that good, surely it could be made to work in ics.
Though the installation of s-voice was without any problems.

Mic and camera are at the bottom of the pile of things to do, getting an OS that was never designed for the TouchPad is no easy thing, drivers and wrappers have to be written from scratch with no support from HP. So have faith in the developers, remember most of them are either at full time work or school/college and are offering you there work for free, maybe you could ask HP to fix the camera and mic I think they would abandon that idea faster than they abandoned the TouchPad itself.

Exactly what BIGSimon said. CM9 is still ALPHA. Meaning some things will not work. Not everything that is released is perfect right away. Developing ROMs isn't always an easy task. What they have done in 5 months is pretty damn great.
yeah i know that. but i seem to recall that it at least halfway worked with cm7. plus, in a short time android will have another os version, jellybean or something. and then what? will cm9 be abandoned and work start with that one? and once again, the camera and mic will be pushed back down to the bottom of the list in order to work on more essential things? seems like a endless cycle

There's a big difference between Android 2.3.7 gingerbread and Android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich which meant everything had to be re-written to work Android 5 jelly bean is more of an evolution of ICS so drivers will carry over, all the work that's been done now will mean that when JB is released the touchpad will get it a lot faster with everything working

JellyBean will be a minor update, it will have a version 4.1, it isn't as huge step as going from 2.3 to 4.0.
Anyway, sound is surely being worked on (developers (partially, maybe) have gotten rid of bad screen-off sound issue last week), and we will see some progress in a time. If you want a tablet with all features working out-of-the-box, i guess, you should buy another device.
The latest audiolibs seems to be working great. Too bad S-Voice is having connection problems. Anyone know how to resolve the server issues in S-Voice?

It does need to be patched otherwise you can only use the API which will record via the mic.

Can anyone provide any updated status about the 2 way call recording options for this unit? I am upgrading from an EVO 4g to this "LTE" model and use this feature very often with reports that I conduct. My 4g uses CALLRECORDER and it works perfect from play.google.com and it's fully automatic so I don't have to fiddle with the buttons the calls are all recorded and I can simply download them from the SD card as needed.
would love to have any input now so I can start getting things lined up for this when the phone arrives.
Thanks,
Bill

How stable is it currently overall? I sometimes use Google+ hangouts which requires streaming video. Is this still broken? How is 4g/3g stability?
Video streaming is still broken, and bluetooth calling still broken. Otherwise, it's solid as it can be for me. Been running it exclusively for over a week and have no plans on going back.

freezing for me on all aosp based builds. I think it's adreno driver related to whatever hardware revision I have

To be honest, it's not really something that you will be able to know without flashing CM9 on your own device. See if it works for you. We have some very talented devs that take a lot of time to make these things. The least you can do is give it a shot, and if it's not for you, then it's really easy to nandroid back to where you are.
