Ever since I flashed from gingerbread to ICS my wifi has been ranged from just barely working to not working at all. 3G works for the most part but when I'm home I'd much rather be on wifi. Anyone else experience this? Is it possible there is something wrong with my phones wifi? And do you think going back to 2.3 might fix my problem? Thanks.
Could be the rom you're on. I would suggest flashing another ICS rom. Try Slim or Euphoria.

I use ICS beta (MT15i_Neo_ICS_ROM_v1.2.zip) with NightElf kernel. All works perfect, also wi-fi works perfect without one wifi access point (my home)! On all wifi points it works, but on one it not connect fast, it connect-disconnect-connect-cisconnect... after some time it connect, but sometimes it is so long! I tried many ICS roms, some problem! With Intek kernel wifi not work at all...
Have to resolve this?
Reginal Wi-Fi problems been talked a about many times before

Have same issue and yes Kormatoes, have tried the regional fixes which none seem to work going back to GB and everything is working but ICS is brilliant and the only bug I seem to encounter and I am not the only one is the WiFi bug, I have yet to get a kernel/rom to work with WiFi properly. at least not with my homes WiFi, maybe it's something else? if it were to be a regional problem then perhaps why would it work in other places besides the home? maybe it has problems with specific WiFi channels? or something else? just trying to be of help here when I get some spare time.
I dont seem to have this problem on any network, so try KA13 ROM with NightElf kernel on that page. Maybe it helps...
KA13 wifi works better than other roms, today we'll have a new realease.
Can you point me in the direction of these regional fixes? Googled around and also searched the forums but can't seem to find anything to suggest that there are regional baseband files or any specific fixes to be had.
Many thanks in advance!
Hi all,
i already mention this issues in this post...please take a look..
i think, the best for me now, is waiting for my regional ics release...
I have no audio on calls on Jelly bean. Ive tried switching roms to different Jelly bean roms and no difference. This is so annyoing cause I can not call or receive calls! Any solutions??
I had this happen to me. I called at&t and they disconnected and reconnected my phone to the local tower and it started working fine again.
I get the same problems using a couple roms on here...I get reboots..then when comes back on I have no data..or someone will call and I can hear thrm but they cannot hear me....I found just rebooting fixes this...but I'm starting to hate JB right now...lol
If this solved the problem please respond and add [SOLVED] to the thread title so others with the same problem can benefit
I have the exact same problem with CM10, and it started with an old nightly, then I upgraded to the latest nightly and its still occuring. Anyone know whats going on, I don't want to go back to CM9
Rebooting is not fixing it.

Try a re flash. That was the only way I corrected this issue when I was running JB. I'm on ICS now and all issues have gone away. Soon, JB will be that way too. Until then though....

Until official jb source drops for our phone this will be a problem on ALL job roms . It seems to affect some more than others. For me, this happened less often than for most. However, it always happened at the worst times.. I am currently using the ICS based 7005 ROM with Google now and 4.2 camera flashed after the fact and find it to be an excellent compromise. 100% stability with 95% of the feature set and buttery smoothness.
I can't wait to see what PTMR3 does with padawan on this base....or better yet what manelscout4life brings us with official jellybean code..
I need some assistance trying to narrow down what is causing my issue. I posted this in the TMobile SGS3 Q&A section but I wanted to post here to get more exposure and perhaps someone more knowledgeable can chime in. I believed this to be a AOSP JB kernel issue but I also tried CM9 on my phone and the problem persists.
For some reason my phone will randomly disconnect from my WiFi connection when running an AOSP rom. The actual WiFi service will remain on; I can see available networks but it will not reconnect to my saved AP unless I toggle WiFi off/on, and even then it will randomly disconnect again. The same thing happens with CM, and ALL CM-based roms. I have tried Faux, Imoseyon, Trinity, stock, and Ktoonsez kernels and none seemed to fix this issue.
Stock TW roms, both ICS and JB, keep my connection just fine. I also used the same CM nightly build on my GS3 and my Galaxy Nexus for testing purposes. The GS3 will lose connection while the GNex does not, so I figured it had something to do with the kernel since those are usually phone-specific.
As for the WiFi signal, I don't have any issues neither at work nor at home with TW-based roms. This only happens on AOSP. Any insight you guys have regarding this issue is appreciated. Thanks!
I ran a logcat but to be honest, I do not know what to make of it. would anyone happen to understand where my issue is?

Are you using any kind of signal extender or an acess point? I've seen similar problems with android getting confused on wich point they need to connect, if the answer is yes try to turn off the extender before connecting to see if that's what's causing the issue. Unfortunatelly I don't have simple steps to solve this, it's all trial and error, turn off the devices individually and start connecting until you get an order that suits your phone.
Hope it helps!
Thanks for the input. I don't use either of those. The phone connects directly to the router. The router sits in the same room so signal is always strong and no other devices connected to the router have any issues. This is definitely a bummer because I would love to run AOSP as my daily driver. I will keep troubleshooting.

Was on CM10 WiFi and reception was a problem and was getting dropped. Flash STOCK ROM then flashed back CM10 to see if it would fix things and NO. Now I'm back on STOCK ROM and EVERYTHING works PERFECTLY and running smooth with ME's Kernel. Anyone have similar issues? I really like CM but don't want to flash all similar CM10ish ROMs to find out WiFi is Borked. How come only some have select or problems with reception and WiFi? Its not like I flashed other radios. I'm still on JB radio. Just frustrating

Hello everyone, i've flashed yesterday the SK17i ICS Stock Firmware Build 4.1.b.0.587, the overall performance is good for myself, however it may seem that WiFi has some 'Weird' issues
It work's i can navigate via WiFi with my Xperia via Wifi on a TP-LINK router and lots of hotspots, actually an TL-WR841N (Wireless B,G,N) that is a kickass router overall for home applications, but since i've flashed to ICS, has a WEIRD behavior that suddenly disconnects, drops and catches WiFi again, sometimes is very fast, but other times takes like 5 seconds OR MORE...
How do i know is an ICS issue?? Well didn't happened at all with GB, and other devices on my home seems to work pretty well (Motorola ATRIX, Milestone II, RAZR i, laptops and blabla...)
Hope someone has tracking or solution under this issue.
And thanks a lot for the community in advice!:good:
Rooted? Unlockd?
Went back to stock, or just upgraded?

Seems more like a rom issue, i can rollback to Sony's GB .58 an fix this but i dont find the GB perfomance as good as i wanted.
Thanks!
