Mike1986, Chrispaw, HeyJoe, EclipzeRemix, NRGZ are still the only ROM devs who released anything, with the addition of Silentbtdeadly. We just got updated ROMs from our regular Devs (which are all great and appreciated).
And of course Sportstar89... Totally sorry my dude.
We still don't have any kernel devs. Still no aosp. No sense 4. I wouldn't say development is booming. Just thread and post counts.

Actually, that is incorrect...the first (based on the Pyramid leak) was Leoisright with the help of many people including TMartin...then Virus did the next, and seemingly more successful version (i believe based on the sensation leak)
I've enjoyed several kingsroms on the og..glad if he made the switch..

If one rolls through ill try to pull for you guys just one question i was able to pull everything back on the vibrant using terminal commands will this work on the amaze? S-on gonna cause any issues with retrieving anything? On the vibrant i was able to get kernel and everything so a dev could easily make a flashable odin file and rom after that.

Many devs do not have the phone. If we can do some bounty threads so they can get it, it would be helpful. Anybody willing to donate money so these devs can get the Amaze. Without the phone, they won't develop. Let me know if you guys are interested in doing this. If we don't, the forum will still continue to be dead.

I'm with Mako on this. Amaze is old news. The Skyrocket and One series is where most development will go.
I've accepted that Sense/Apex will be how my phone will stay until the next HTC series rolls out after the One. It's not that disappointing, since I have it set up perfectly the way I want it.
Sense 4 isn't as exciting as AOSP or CM9. It's just a slightly tweaked 3.6. Oh well

Just my opinion..
I truely hate bounty threads. There have been previous bounty threads. One developer that X wanted to get a phone for. The bounty was achieved but I havent seen anything from said developer since the phone purchase. Not 1 Rom not one post. You guys can do what you like with your money but I'm against bounties to get certain developers money or a phone.
I'm happy with Sense and happy with the buch of talented chefs we have now..they are able to do much more than I could at their age.
If the developer can prove to the community they can fix certain things and develop more than tweak, get AOSP, CM9 or AOKP (because those are the hardest things to develop)running with only minor bugs then maybe a donation for their work wouldn't hurt.
But bounties fail...IMHO.

Same here, might sell mine and pick up a gnex. Just done with the lack of support from htc. Hell, I just got a new DROID 4 for work and have a close to vanilla ics stock rom on it, rooted and loving it.

Hehe a phone is a phone it's used for making calls and to contact other people, can't just hate it because of no custom roms, remember older phones like the Motorola V3? No custom roms back then but was a bomb
It's like saying I hate my BMW 760li because there aren't many custom headlights available, Hehehe, to each its own though.

I love this phone but honestly im not getting another htc phone. No support. Wen i had the samsung epic 4g there was no support from sammy on that... I wanna sell my amaze or at least trade for a gnex... Shouldve went to sammy but got this.. a beast phone but htc wont support it... Ics is garbage on here without the devs. But i guess once we get a good aosp rom ill have to stick with speed rom... Htc no more after this. I understand not updateding officially but at least release the drivers and make it easy for us to update our phones ourselves. -__-

I don't consider it a phone. I use way less than 100 minutes a month. This is my computer that I can alo use as a phone. Your analogy doesn't make sense for me. I give a crap about call quality or anything phone call related really.

Here's a question. What phone would be more beneficial for us if both had JB, the HTC One X, or the Droid Incredible 4G. This is in terms of porting stuff over to the Rezound.

Neither. Best devices to look at are the sensation and evo3d. Amaze has a lot of similarities also.

Ditto. Take a look at https://github.com/intervigilium for the pieces of Intervigilium's Sensation port and do git diff on files between branches to see what he changed. The only thing you'll need to do extra is to update the RIL for the new android_frameworks_base.
I'm almost inclined to do the Jellybean conversion myself, but at the moment I'm just too lazy.

I've tried numerous times porting both the evo3d and sensation ramdisk to no avail. I think I may have something though

What exactly is the problem you're encountering? Are you getting far enough to get a log or kernel messages?

Are you sitting on a bunch of build fixes?
Because after messing with it, it looks to me that we need the updated msm framebuffer headers to get the latest libhwcomposer and friends to compile. The modified ABI means the kernel needs the updated driver to actually work, and that entails a lot of other intra-kernel dependencies, too.
