Battery Recalibration- Wipe batt stats

Hi!
Yesterday when my battery was at 88%, I wiped the batt stats from Amon Ra.
When I switched on my phone, my hero told me that the battery was full (100%).
I want to know something more about Recalibration of the battery by wiping battery stats. Searching on the Internet somebody tells that is important to wipe batt stats when the battery is empty, and then charge it.
Other people reccomend to wipe battery stats when the battery is full.
What do you suggest?
Thanks

The way I've learned to recalibrate the battery is to let it go down to 5%, boot phone into recovery and wipe batterystats, then power off the phone. Let the phone charge until the green led is on without turning it on. Then turn on and use the phone as usual. Learned it over at modaco. Worked as a charm, and batterytime was improved. I have personally experienced strange batterybehaviour after periods with flashing a lot of roms.

Yep, every time I flash a ROM it's suggested to do a full wipe, battery stats also, and i think that with a lot of flashing, the battery behavour become strange.
I tried that "trick" today on my phone, I will tell you how is battery life.
Thank you!

No problem! Good luck
I'm going to try this tonight and will report back my findings tomorrow.
I just hope I don't get any important calls or texts while it's turned off to charge
Any update on your experiments guys as I am about to do the battery stats wipe too.
Any updates on this?
Ooops, I forgot to reply back but it's been covered in different threads in the Hero section and for other Android phones... it does work.
As others have said, after flashing different ROMs the battery starts to mis-report but this trick seems to sort it out

reconditioning battery

IF YOU ARE HERE TO TELL ME THAT RECONDITIONING HURTS MY BATTERY, DON'T BOTHER REPLYING.
anyways...
everytime i flash a rom, should i recondition the battery? will i have the same battery life because i'm about to update from nero 3 to nero 4.1
Dont see why not.
Each rom may read the battery differently. the easiest way to deter that is to drain it all the way down until the phone dies, charge it all the way back up and wipe the battery stats.
Gives each rom a fresh reading
I went from 8-10 hours for the past 6 months to now I'm at 14 hours with 19% left after following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=722862 .
I read somewhere else after letting it drain and charging (while off) again will further increase the counter/timer/life.
Remember though, doing it TO much to a lion battery will damage it. An every now and then (If you did it once every 3-4 months) is a non-issue.
How do you wipe the battery

Battery problem

Hey dev's! I hope you have the solution to this... but maybe the problem is my battery is dead... :S
3 days ago I installed Cyanocomb, and everything worked right (after clean installation and wiping all the data and stats, including battery stats) but the problem is, when i put the carger at night, next morning the battery was completeley empty! (and I was near to arrive late at work because of the alarm )
I investigated, and saw that when the battery reached the 100%, it doesn't stay between 95%-100%, It only stops charging and drains very quickly.
I changed the Rom recently to Cyanogen Froyo CM6 6.01 and.... It still drains. Maybe I killed my battery? Maybe it's a callibration problem? (I deleted battery stats and used the battery callibration app, but it stil drains...)
Yeah, I know, It sounds bad for my old battery
Thanks for all the advices!!!
Try repairing your phone via seus and see how your battery is on the stock rom

After clean install of the CM6 ROM again, and callibrating the battery 3 times, It seems to work nice again... I hope I'll not arrive late again because of the alarm! XD Thanks pal!
How did you calibrate it??? I´m with a similar issue so i would like to know the process, I was looking for some information and I found this but I'm not sure if it will work on mini pro :S

Cwm advance setting wipe batery stats
After a week, yesterday the same problem again... The battery stopped charging, when I unplug the carger and plug again, It seems to charge 5% more, but a minute later it begins to drain again...
I tried to calibrate (I'm currently using Battery Calibrator form market), but after wiping stats and let it full drain, It needs a lot of time (red light blinking) until I can connect it, but after that it charges only 5-10% and begin to drain again.
I came back to stock ROM, and It is charging again!!! But why with a custom ROM am I experiencing this problem? (CM6 6.01)
Hmm, thats really interesting! I "caught" this issue too lol
Yesterday I installed cyanocomb 1.4 and before I went sleep the battery was on 50%.
After I woke up (~10 hours), the battery totally died. This is surprised me. I put the phone to charge (not from USB), and thats charged fully. Okay, I thought I let it charge a bit more and I will make a battery stat wipe. But after a while, I checked it again, and the battery was on 89% WTF?!
Please, forget this, now my phone is being repaired, it was a hardware problem (I guess is the USB connector)
When the support work is done, I will tell you the conclusions.
Ok, now the phone is repaired, and the problem was the USB connector. No software problem.
Problem solved, theme closed.

XMP Bug after battery change

I have a problem.
Since I bought a 1350 mAh battery for my Xperia Mini Pro, my mobile don't show me the right battery status
When I tried charging it first time it stucked by 81% and didn't charged more.
And now my mobile doesn't charge more then 79% and always shut down by itself.
Then I tried to use my old battery again (which now doesn't load more 86%) und stucked there. Like 3-4 hours just 86% when I used it. Then it shutted down.
Does anyone know how to help me?

Wipe battery stats and calibrate battery (apps from Google Play) after the full charge
Can you Show me a good calibrate app?
I use BatteryCalibration from Google Play and it works perfectly!
I have wiped battery stats but after that I wasn't able to use my new battery normally.
It always shutted down although I had full charged.
Anyone know how to help me?
So many times it was here and still same. delete batery stats is just myth. If you dont belive go check source code and good luck.
And yeah, if you have problem battery like this just try charge batery to full (ignore % on mobile and keep battery about 2 hours on charger then you discharge and you will see. If dont help few cycle there be problem with battery. But wipe stats even in 1 day of month on midnight cant solve self this. Btw this kind of problem i saw on many older phones w/o android and also working this.
Hey and tell me, what exactly doing this calibrate apps? Some kind of placebo effect or changing chemistry in battery?
