[Q] Video streaming - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Quick question, does any one know if it's possible to stream the video from an Android phones camera to a pc via usb or wifi in effect to give you a zoomable HD web cam?
Oh and of course to capture that video feed.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks Rober,
My mistake, I've used ipwebcam in the past and (while I can't get it working at the moment) I know it does a good job. For my purposes though I need a p to p connection without going through a router as I'll be using this, literally, out in the field.

evo3D screen mirrioring over wifi

Hi All,
I searched the net but couldn't really find much on this. Is there a way to do screen mirrioring to a pc over wifi? I have my pc connected to the big screen tv and it would be awesome to share my evo3d's screen on the tv.
Cheers

Go through all these steps, connect your PC and EVO 3D to the same network.

dnla doesnt do screen mirroring on the 3d does it? ive only been able share media like a server.
Hey bud,
Thanks for ur reply, dlna is an option and would work well for sharing media files. But from wat i understand it will not support screen mirroring so far the only way to mirror the evo3d on big screen that i've found is a device by xbounds but i dont really wana spend $139 just to be able to do this. There has to be another way or server/client app to mirror the screen on pc.
I've recently seen the light and made the switch to android from iphone ios actually does screen mirrioring with apple tv very well so i am sure android should be able to do this as well (and better)
Anyone?
Cheers

Airfoil for Android even possible?

Hi!
I've been looking for an app like Airfoil (Mac/Windows program) for Android. What it does is "hijack" your audio source (program), and sends it via Airplay to compatible Airplay units.
Where the Airplay or DLNA is not a problem, there exists streaming apps in the market. What i wonder is if the hijack of other sources is possible in Android? Assuming it would require root.
Why i want this? Stream Spotify or Google music from my phone/tablet to reciever in living room without any messy servers and such.
- Thanks for any replies, Mixy

this is almost definitely 100% the case. The same thing happens with FM radio apps on phones without FM radio hardware.
For sure this is the case. How can you watch TV on a device which havent a tv tuner hardware?
Dlna.. Uses wifi to pass video /audio to or from your device..
Watch videos from your phone on your pc or anything else connected to your router via lan or wifi.
Tv etc needs to support the function tho

Yeah rite...I want a microwave and a gun as my phone...savvy ?
yeah this isn't DLNA or Bluetooth. it's an app for Chinese phones with TV hardware like an antenna and tuner.

You could use and USB reciever with an otg cable and the proper kernel/kernel modules for it. Maybe the apk won't FC than.

There is an app in google playstore that can detect waves and also fm.
So, u can hear fm radio.
But you need an OTG usb host as antenna.

[Q] Wirless streaming of screen

Hi
Been around the internet and cant find it. So better go to the source of knowlage. (xda forums)
My question is this, I can stream my diffrent android devices to my tv using dlna or allshare.
But what I am looking for is to stream my galaxy tab screen to the TV. Is this possible?
My first idee was some kind och application on my tab that transformed my screen to a dlna stream. Or a wireless HDMI connection of some sort.
Can some gentle soul point me in the right direction?
Best regards Mats
