So u can't get to recovery? Do as the previous post said and flash an official ruu, then if you want to, use the HTC unlock method, then s-off your phone (not 100% if you need both)
Flash recovery, then flash rom.
Back up first.
Did you try factory reset while your in bootloader

I tried factory reset in the bootloader, nothing happened. i can only get into the boot loader, i tried using a PC186IMG to update, that didnt work, and the stock ruu exe didnt work either, im really lost here guys

Is the phone S-OFF or HTC unlocked? This happened to me last night (infected superwipe crashed and I must have lost my recovery). I used fastboot on my PC to re-flash a recovery and then used the recovery to re-flash my ROM.
yeah, its all rooted and unlocked hboot 1.50

Mine would not boot into recovery. When I booted to fastboot and selected recovery, it would just restart into fastboot. So, I had to reflash recovery. Go to the TWRP 2.1 site for directions. I used the ADB and Fastboot method, but if the PG86IMG method works for you, it might be easier.
Follow the directions on their site and you hopefully will be able to boot into recovery. If you can, flash the ROM and you should be good to go.
EDIT: Just saw your post with screenshot, so you know how to use ADB and Fastboot. Recommend trying TWRP and see if that flashes successfully.
EDIT2: Doing further research, I found this thread. The OP had the exact same problem you are seeing with the Evo3d. Someone suggested using the 2.08 RUU and it worked for him. So, if the TWRP recovery does not work, you could try that.
Is the bootloader unlocked and do you know if there's a custom recovery installed if so you can download a ruu to your pc and put the EVO in fastboot and run the ruu check football in the dev section he has all the ruu's for EVO 3d check it out you can't go wrong there

Now it doesnt even turn on, it shows a charge light
How may copys of cwm do you have in your fastboot folder ??? Also if its showing a green light let it charge via ac for a few hours with the power off. Id recommend leaving it until the light turns green. It might take a while

i only have 1, and it doesnt charge, the light stays red, never green, i think it could partially be the battery

Even plugged in to AC, you can't get into Fastboot? I've been able to get into Fastboot even with the battery out as long as I was on AC.
witht he battery out and plugged into the ac, i cannot get into fastboot. the phone isnt recognized anymore by my computer and i can no longer get into fastboot. ive tried booting without the sd card, leaving the battery out for a set time, almost everything i can do, besides other cables. the only thing i can think is theres battery problem, but maybe something else. any ideas?

I managed to get s-off, but my phone would not boot. I was stuck on a screen that said "JuopunutBear" with an arrow. I did the internal storage fix, now the phone is really screwed. Get one of the old GB RUU's and run it on your phone. Start again. If your phone was truly bricked, it wouldn't power on and you wouldn't get an LED light when it was plugged in.

This is an easy one, or would have been when you were on the black screen. Well the internal storage fix scares me, but hopefully that wont matter. Typically all you need to do is get the PH file from your rom and place on sd card, boot into hboot, and run the update I believe, then reboot.
This title needs to be edited as it's misleading.

Relax. The S-off process blows out your recovery. You didn't brick your phone.
Put a recovery image on your SD card, go into hboot (from a powered down state, power button and volume down) and let 'er reload recovery. If you can't get the file on your SD card through your phone, pop the SD card into a card reader attached to your PC and stick it on there that way.
Once that's done, remove the image file from your SD card, put your fav ROM on it, and install it from recovery.
You may need to fix your SD card's mount points. Within the thread on S-off, there's a link to the process.
None of the commands work because the phone is not recognized. I cannot boot to hboot. Uh oh.
I had the same screen. Pull the battery and reboot into hboot, volume down+power and run the s-off program again. Something didn't finish and it will pick up where it left off in my experience.

What happens when you press power+volume down?
Edit: Also, if you're phone turns on, you're not bricked. It's pretty hard to brick this phone.

As I understand it, the only way to brick a phone is to bork a radio installation.
Dude...pull your battery, put it back in, then power and volume down at the same time. If you can get to hboot, life is good.

Constant reboots
I am able to install roms, but I get constant reboots, every few minutes at best. I tried a few different ICS ROMS. I am running the latest firmware. I BELIEVE with s-off I shouldn't have to flash PH98IMG.zip. I tried fixing permissions also but it has not helped.
How did you get the latest firmware and radios without running the PH98IMG.zip? The ics roms you are installing won't update your firmware.

Well the newest leak came out 5/7 and the one before that 5/2 so only a week ago. I would download the newest from Android Police and follow the instructions they give to install, then flash a recovery and install a rooted Rom for this firmware like Scott's.

I don't know why you relocked...I think there's a thread about not so good things happening to those who relock after S-off. I downloaded and installed the 5/5 leak as PH98IMG after I S-off'd and reflashed the recovery.
I'm pretty sure my hboot said "locked" straight out of the gate after I did the S-off deed.

Nothing bad happens, you just don't ever get back to "locked" without doing S-off again. You're just at "relocked" like the old days. S-on with an eng hboot on the other hand will brick your device.
That aside, there's no need to unlock if you're S-off. Either flash a patched hboot or just flash a PH98IMG.zip of AmonRa if you don't need fastboot commands (I did the latter).
I flashed the last firmware before S-off. I followed the instructions given. I flashed the latest firmware today and this damn thing still reboots constantly. I flashed the 5-7 firmware then the Venasaur Rom.

You need to try installing the radio firmware or just install the complete RUU again. And install a clean copy of the rom, not a nandroid backup. Wipe data, cache, dalvic cache, and system before flashing the rom.
Send me a private message if you would like and I'll help you get it figured out on gtalk.
Alright so everything was great i was using viper rom on my evo lte, i had been having trouble flashing kernels. I tried some app that would do it, flashed one and now im ****ed. this thing just won't boot up at all it goes in between the (htc quietly stupid) splash screen and the one that you see as you load recovery. (with like the little red writing crap) just back and fourth thats it.... i can access my boot loader and recovery, so far ive wiped the hell out of it, formated the internal card, and tried installing countless different rom. all do the same loop thingy.
PLEASE HELP, ILL TRY ANYTHING!!
Im unlocked with s-on
and hboot-1.15.0000
if u can get into bootloader then wipe and restore your backup.. if u can get into booloader then u should be able to get into recovery from there go into recovery wipe and restore ya backup and u should be good to go.. wipe data.. wipe system.. wipe cash.. wipe dalvik cash
I'm in the same boat except it had nothing to do with kernels... Just all of a sudden everything stopped working... Nothing flashes correctly... Md5 sums never match for restores... If I mess with it long enough twrp stops recognizing my internal SD... I've had to ruu like 3 times because of it... I've tried different recoveries... Countless different wipe methods... Nothing works... I'm lazy panda s-off... Tried both twrp 2.2.1 and even tried clockwork for awhile... After running ruu I re-root and flash either recovery and as soon as I wipe and flash a Rom I'm stuck at the splash no matter what Rom... So with that said I'm stuck with stock for now... No fun stuff anymore...
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
thats why!! clockwork recovery is no good for this phone!! your not supposed to use it..
But as I said I was getting the same problems with twrp... And the internal SD problem happened using twrp... It doesn't matter what recovery I use... I've used both superwipe zips or just plane system wipe within twrp and every time something screws up and I get stuck at the splash screen having to run the ruu bootloader zip just to have a working phone...

Lol don't do that, I'm sure you would regret it. The important thing is that your problem is completely solvable so don't lose hope. Did you take a look at the thread I linked you? If you have the sdk installed you should be able to flash a new boot image, which would be much better than going the RUU route in my opinion.

Try going into recovery from the bootloader and then try the "adb devices" command. I've noticed that I can't issue adb commands while in fastboot also...not sure why. If you can get it to display your device while in recovery, then you know your communication is good. Go back into fastboot and you should be able to do the "fastboot flash boot" command, but rebooting with the adb command will not work for some reason. After you flash the boot image, there should be an option to reboot on your phone that you can select with the volume keys.

i wiped and reflashed the rom in recovery, also while i was there i kept trying to flash the boot.img and at one point kept getting some (ERROR: could not get pipe properties) and no matter what i do, it just wont show up in boot loader.
run the ruu
Fixed it!!
hey i just kept wiping everything and finally got the boot.img flashed through boot loader in adb or whatever. thank you everyone for your quick help!!
first off, I'm an idiot with this whole thing and shouldn't be doing it probably. i just don't know enough about it to be playing with expensive phones like this so i understand I deserve whatever i get.
i was running a custom rom on an S-ON phone. i forgot the name of the rom (was made by TEAM COOL or something). But I wanted to unroot and go back to normal stock ROM and download the JB update. First, in the SU app, I did a complete unroot. that did nothing except not let me use the app anymore.
then I tried doing the RUU way of going back, but when it would go to the loading bootloader portion, the usb would disconnect and it would fail with error 171.
so then, and i don't know how i got here, but i went into recovery and did a factory reset and now i have no rom. I have tried installing meanrom but it fails after some line regarding a kernal. my phone won't do anything except boot to the white HTC screen or into the bootloader.
i have no idea what to do, I just want it working at this point.
i've been searching forums like crazy but all the solutions are things I already have done or things that won't work for me.
If you haven't done so yet, you need to relock the bootloader before running ruu. Put your phone in fastboot and using SDK or ADB Tools, type fastboot oem lock

Sounds like you need to flash a Rom that has the s-on installer or fastboot flash the kernel for the Rom you have installed
Most roms come with the kernel installer built in now days. just keep trying to flash em. fyi if your phone turns on , even a little bit , you are not bricked
I am trying to flash meanbean. I wiped the cahes and did factory reset, then flashed the ROM. It's been on "Installing /system..." for about 30 minutes now. Something seems wrong. I'm scared to interrupt it in case that's normal or if interrupting it will break it for good.
Well, I think that might be because my twrp version is really old...2.1.8. I tried updating but had no luck.
Now nothing flashes. It gets to 'verifying partition sizes' then fails. Tried this on several roms that would previously flash, just not work.

You need to FASTBOOT install it:
Turn off your device. Turn on the device and keep holding volume down until a menu shows up. Select fastboot from the menu list. Plug the device into your computer. If you have the right drivers installed, your screen should now say FASTBOOT USB. Run the following command via the command line:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img

Perhaps what is happening when you try oem lock and get that error is that adb is still running from a prior attempt or because of some other program. Try opening your task manager and ending all processes of adb and other programs that connect to the phone. Then try oem locking again and go from there.

I made a little bit of progress!
I determined that Windows 8 was the reason I get the usb malfunctioning message. I obtained a Windows 7 computer and it worked like a charm.
That said, I'm not out of the woods yet.
I relocked the phone using fastboot and then have been attempting to flash a stock RUU now that the usb issue is sorted out.
That seems to work but it gets stuck at "sending....." for as long as 35 minutes. I've tried about 4 times, giving between 20-35 minutes and it won't go beyond sending.
I can at least fastboot now; but the phone is locked. Which is fine; I just want back to stock anyways.

Here's a link for the toolkit:
http://d-h.st/users/hasoon2000/?fld_id=7459#files
Download and install it, and then click on the RUU link. I know how you must be feeling man...it sucks to be the proud owner of a new $700 paperweight. From what I gather without S-OFF (which as far as I know isn't possible yet on the One X+) it's incredibly rare to completely brick a phone...so don't lose hope
Personally, I would go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094118 and download the ruu that is applicable to your phone, then I would use hassons toolkit to relock your bootloader. Then boot phone into fastboot adb, and just run the ruu. I have seen it take two runs to work at times, but I've never seen a true brick. As long as the something lights up when you plug it in, ruu's will save you. then just start all over with unlock bootloader, root, flash recovery, and the rom of your choice.
Since HTC ONE X+ is still S-ON it is barely impossible to brick.
If you can reach bootloader (fastboot mode) then simply flash the correspondant Recovery, clear cache (fasboot erase cache) then unplug your USB cable press on Power button one time, Volume down one time time to select Recovery and validate by Power again, your phone should reboot in Recovery.

I too kinda bricked my hox+ evitareul i have cwm installed but my partitions are all formatted and cwm cannot mount system data or cache and adb side load won't work because of the partitions being erased...i unlocked at htc dev then flashed cwm in fast boot but i did it on a mac so i think thats what messed it up...when the recovery flashed it also formatted the partitions...idk why...Hboot can't scan for anything i get "can't mount usb master system" in hoot...recovery works fine but i can't flash anything...going to try a rue to get me back hopefully...Do you guys think it will fix me in my case? if it can fix me it definitely can help you^^^
It's probably not charging because your recovery might not support offline charging...I charged my hox+ by letting it boot into system even though there was no Rom...if you look closely when it boots the screen will dim and so will the red led in the speaker...when it dims it means it's charging and this works no matter what recovery or Rom you have but your screen will display HTC the entire time it's charging...took me about 45 minutes to get above 30% then I flashed the sense 5 rUU and now I'm back lol...hope I helped

Hey Guys.
I have a big issue.
I installed a custom Kernel with the "Alli in One"-Tool then I rebooted. It stucked in the Boot Screen.
I can get to the Bootloader and to the cwm recovery. I tried to flash a Rom via sideload, but havent any idea how to do it...
Then I tried to run RUU, it says that it cant find a connected Phone...
What should i do?
EDIT: I tried to flash the original Kernel but the Tool says "device not found", too...
Is your phone the international 1X+?
To flash a ruu you have to download the correct ruu and relock your bootloader. If not the ruu will not install.

Yes its the international... I cant relock my bootloader because it says no device found...
and shouldnt the ruu tells another message when its noch relocked, than: device not found???
Sorry for doublepost, but:
New Problem. I can connect the Phone to another PC.
But now RUU tells me that the Phone is under 30% battery -.-
What now?
I left the phone the hole night on the Cable. The orange LED is on...
turn the phone off , then plug it into the charger for a hour or so ...

Doesnt work... I have now make a batch that reboot the phone and the phone is now at 3,975V. But the Error comes every time... i dont know why...
That is why I am not in favor of all in one tools, when something is happening or the tool doesn't get updated it can goes wild to recover.
Also for better support, please select one thread and stay in this thread, othrewise you will end up with many various responses, and you will definately end up more confused then you are at the moment.
I will Copy/Paste my previous answer I gave you in the other thread...

If your phone is not charging, it's probably because your Recovery is not the latest to date.
@muhhh351
You should flash a Recovery known working on charging mode, the first releases were lacking this mode, but this is resolved now. Click on Frequently Asked Questions in my signature everything is there for you to find about HOX+ and their recoveries.

So give this a try before doing anything else. Flashing the latest recovery from TWRP.
