Hi,
I have just unlocked my evo 3d gsm on htcdev.com. After that, I have flashed CWM. Last, I installed virtuous eclipse beta3 but it stucked on HTC logo. Waiting 15 minutes didn't solve problem then i reinstalled it and kernel_shooteru_S-ON. But unfortunately these can't work. What should I do?
I have HBOOT 1.49.0018 - unlocked - s-on - cwm 4.0.1.4
Edit: After those, I have installed Leedroid and it works! I am still waiting virtuous eclipse offers...

Xtract your boot.IMG from the zip file then open the file scroll down and you will see your boot.IMG and copy it into the same folder that contains your adb and your fastboot and then go head and open up you cmd and once you have your fastboot running typ fastboot flash boot boot.IMG press enter and watch the magic happen

Open the ruu img with a ISO program like magic iso or power iso

Here is the stock recovery from the cdma 2.17 ruu in a PG86IMG.
Simply put it on the root of your sd card and then boot to your bootloader and let it flash.

install adb, fastboot and your device drivers.
go to your adb and fastboot folder put the recoveryEVO3D.img (extracted from the rar tailsthecat3 provided) there.
next go to the command prompt, navigate to the folder with adb in it, and type "adb reboot bootloader" (without the quotations ofc)
when your phone has booted into the bootloader (it should say FASTBOOT USB near the top), type "fastboot flash recovery recoveryEVO3D.img" (again without the quotation marks).
Please be careful, as attempting to flash a CDMA recovery on a GSM phone and vice versa is a bad idea.
That said the recoveryEVO3D.img above is CDMA i believe.
I can't boot unto recovery, every time I reboot into recovery my phone just reboots, iv tried a factory reset and all it did was reboot no recovery. Everything on my phone works but recovery. Please help.....anyone....someone....help me!!!

Download a recovery image of your choice (I recommend TWRP 2.0)
If it's in a zip format, extract the IMG file and copy it to where you have fastboot located.
In a command window, use cd to navigate to the appropriate location that fastboot is stored
reboot your phone into Bootloader (Power on while holding Vol-down key)
Select FASTBOOT on the phone and plug into PC (it should say FASTBOOT USB on the Phone)
in command window, type fastboot flash recovery <name_of_recovery_image>.img (Obviously replacing <name_of_recovery_image> with the file name of the recovery image) and press enter, let it proceed until it says OKAY.
Should work after this.
I am stuck on the V logo installing Virtuous Eclipse v.1.0.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1513054) on my gsm s-on evo 3d !!!

That's because the new hboot cannot flash kernels. Easiest method is to download flashgui from the market which will flash the kernel for you.
Thanks for the quick response... so all i need to do is download the app flash a kernel and then flash the rom through twrp???

Download a rom to your computer. Place the rom.zip in the folder where you have adb. Also, extract the boot.img in the same folder. Open adb on your computer using command line and boot into fastboot on your phone. Use the cd command to change folders to wherever your adb is located and type adb devices to make sure you are connected. Then type fastboot flash boot boot.img. Once you do that you can push the rom zip using a different command that I forget. Even better than reading my response, search Google for "flash boot rom fastboot evo 4G lte" there's an xda thread that walks you through it.

Glad your issue got resolved
Also, we don't really allow discussion of that particular kernel (anthrax) because it is not GPL compliant.
