Can someone build us an OC kernel? - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I know all the players have their respective kernels with basic overclocking built in. I'd LOVE to have a kernel with free/open overclocking through setcpu or a similar app.
I don't know about other kernels but Entropy's has overclocking up to 1.2ghz built in but I still find that to be horribly inadequate. I was running 1.5 stable on the stock rom and it made the whole device eons faster. I'm sick of having to use tegrak because it doesn't work on all the ROMs currently available.
Can anyone pretty please recompile the kernels with voltages and CPU speed unlocked? I know people will probably abuse it, but that's what disclaimers are for!

What ROM are you using? I've tried every single one compatible for the USA 5.0 version of the SGP, and TegraK has worked with all of them.

Didn't work on the CM9 roms.. 1.2ghz included in the kernel does, but that's it. Tegrak says device is not supported. It'd also be nice to have native OC support.

I have the 4.0 using Icy~Fusion ROM and TerraSilent 1.3.5 kernal. I'm using setCPU to overclock and undervolt. Overclock is at 1.2 (highest i can go). My problem is not being able to use the profiles. No profile i set will work. I've been told it's the kernal i'm using. Anyone else seeing this problem? Which kernal would you suggest i use on the 4.0 to get the profiles working?

I know it's not a kernel but you can oc the galaxy player to 1.6 ghz using an app called Tegrak. Only thing is you have to redo the oc after a reboot.

[APP] "Incredicontrol" Kernel Voltage Control

Now you can adjust your voltages on the fly! Has a lot of great features similar to No Frills but for voltages. I have tested this with Tiamat 1.0.4 and it works perfectly! Not sure about others but so far it does seem to help battery life. I didn't have anything to do with the development of this app, I'm just spreading the word for others to use it. Hope you guys enjoy!

Word. Only it doesn't support pershoot v7 kernal.

For me after lowering voltages, would reboot run fine but as soon as phone went to lower cpu levels, phone would lock up heh guess Ill just stick with ScarySUV.
Im gonna give this a try with the x99 kernel. hope it works cause he doesn't have uv on the 2.6.35 version
Edit: Doesn't work on the x99 kernel. It says that svs or havs isn't supported.

Tiamat is the only kernel this will work with.

[Q] What is the most stable overclock kernel with voodoo sound?

Hey all,
Im currently running Starburst 8.9.11 (latest) with the 1.4GHZ Overclock kernel. It runs very well, no FC`s or reboots so far. I would like to get the tab pushing the same scores as my xoom and I really want voodoo sound, does anybody know what the most stable overclock kernel with voodoo sound is that works on TW 3.1 or a TW 3.1 ROM that comes with both options.
Kind Regards!

Pershoot's is the only one I'd really trust - when he breaks things, he admits it and is very good at trying to address issues.
Quadrant scores are meaningless. Forget about them, they're only good for epeen and are WAY too easily gamed. Look at the Stagefright hacks - people got first-gen GS phones to push into the mid 3000s, but at the cost of utterly crippling media playback format compatibility.
Thanks for your reply, im running the 1.4ghz pershoot overclock kernel, no way to get voodoo sound then?

Pershoots kernel includes Voodoo sound I believe
Edit: Sorry no I don't think it does actually
Edit 2: Ahh yeah it does... =)
Pershoots kernel does include voodoo sound. I just installed the voodoo app this morning. It works great

[Q] Adjustable overclock kernel or app??

Hey guys i'm new to overlocking, rooting and rom flashing on HTC phones. I have had motorola phones in the past, droid, droidx bionic, razr and have always rooted, overclocked and undervolted. Is there some way or app for the rezound that will let me adjust overclock speeds and voltage? I know there is setcpu but what i'm looking for is a app like milestone overclock that I used along with setcpu on my droid x?
incredicontrol
incredicontrol says its for "single core" htc devices only. Anything else?
CPU master from antutu is pretty worth it

Thanks guys
Does one need this even with a custom kernel such as ziggy's or dsb?

If you want to change clocking speed or undervolt/overvolt from what the kernel Dev set the default to, yes. Otherwise you're not really taking advantage of the kernel. If a kernel is overclockable....Dev's usually leave the speed close to stock because some phones rspond differently.
System tuner pro is the best. Does everything. I use it and CPU master

[Q] Atrix 4G CM7 Ba2tF-Olympus updating Kernel and suggestions

Hey guys, I've been looking at updating my kernel if it was necessary.
Basically, here's my current information about my phone:
Kernel version: 2.6.32.39-MB860-CM7-g54722f1 [email protected]#4
Mod version: CyanogenMod-7.1.0.Ba2tF-Olympus
I'm would like to update the Kernel on my phone. I wasn't sure if I could just pick up any Kernel out there for the Atrix 4G. I wasn't sure if it was dependent on what Mod version you were running etc.
If someone can let me know it's ok to pick up any kernel that would work for atrix 4g or if it was dependent on the mod version and suggest any kernel that has worked for you and any others that you recommend not using.
I have updated roms but restored back because it once in a while during the day and sometimes in use would reboot...some people that I have read on the forum indicated to update the kernel would/might resolve the issue. So your suggestions and recommendation is highly appreciated. Thank you.
You can flash any of the kernels developed for CM7.
I would recommend any of fauxs kernels depending on whether or not you use OC. He has kernels ranging from 1Ghz to 1.45Ghz. All of the have been stable for me with good battery life.

Honestly ur best bet would be just to update to the newest cm7 nightley your on a really old version and kissing out on some good updates the kernel that vo.es with it is really nice or at least upgrade to the rc1 but i will also agree with the faux kernels i use the 1.45 overclock with out ant issues and live it

Agreed. Get off Ba2tF. It's not any more stable than the release candidates, in fact it is probably significantly less so. Also, tons of important updates have been made to the kernel and just about everything else.

[Q] Overclocking the EVO

Hi,
I am using the SenseLess 3.1 rom, and just love it.
I would like, however, for the sake of beeing a geek, overclock it past its 1.2GHz mark.
I know the device is capable of it, I just don't know which kernel to use, and since I don't have enough posts yet, I can't ask this question in the rom's thread.
Can anybody help?
I am not gsm, but is that ROM a gingerbread or ics ROM? I ask because as far as I know, the ics ROMs use the stock kernel which is not overclockable.
