Now you can adjust your voltages on the fly! Has a lot of great features similar to No Frills but for voltages. I have tested this with Tiamat 1.0.4 and it works perfectly! Not sure about others but so far it does seem to help battery life. I didn't have anything to do with the development of this app, I'm just spreading the word for others to use it. Hope you guys enjoy!

For me after lowering voltages, would reboot run fine but as soon as phone went to lower cpu levels, phone would lock up heh guess Ill just stick with ScarySUV.
Im gonna give this a try with the x99 kernel. hope it works cause he doesn't have uv on the 2.6.35 version
Edit: Doesn't work on the x99 kernel. It says that svs or havs isn't supported.

I found this link to a working kernel hidden in the "Port Captivate Froyo" thread. It allows limited Overclocking up to 1.2 GHZ. Others (including myself) have applied this via Clockwork and it is working great. I by no means take any credit for this. Just trying to put the info out there.

What governor should I use? Interactive? Do I even need SetCPU? I don't want to change anything but the max clock speed if I don't. I find that it scales itself really well. Plus I don't wanna lose a lot of battery life.

I use SetCPU. Min 200 Max 1200 Conservative. I believe Daswolven and others are using these same settings. You may have to clear cache for SetCPU if you already have it installed. jt said do not use ondemand. Performance also seems to be working fine.

I loaded this kernel last night its pretty sweet. no issues runs really smooth so far. I have left it on conservative also, overall seems alot snappier. No battery issues yet, actually bout the same.
I have noticed a difference. Im getting slightly better Quadrant scores. My phone seems a bit snappier. Its definately a start.

Kudos and thumbs-up to JT1134!!!
The ONLY drawback I've seen to this kernel is a slightly accelerated battery drain. Still way better than when i was running stock with Lookout...
JT1134 and Dirrk are both working hard, and we're all gonna benefit!
Also, I've noticed that things tend to go more smoothly when SetCPU is not set to start at boot...
Haha I was one of the ones who flashed it right away too, d12183 on the irc too
I am running this with a min. 100 max. 1200 conservative, no profiles. No problems yet, and battery is actually not looking much different.
Benefit of conservative governor, steps up to use.

Toasts new touchscreen drivers (toastcfh duh again)
3D and 2D overclocked
ZRAM
ZCache
Swap support enabled

Latest kernel
Twisted_Kernel-v1_Evo3D
Methods of flashing
Joeykrim's "flashimage gui" app on the market using one of the zImage files from the zips
(To be added soon) Teamwin's "Kernel manager" app on the market.
Flashing via recovery using one of the zips here.
Recommended apps =)
CPU Master (personally what I use)
Nofrills - App to manage I/O scheduler, clock speeds & governors.
Adw ex or go launcher ex
Colorize widgets - Great widgets to replace the lpp ones for those converting to other launchers.
AppMonster(pro or free) - Great backup utility, automatically backs up all apps.(I like it better than TB)
GPS Status - Great application for finding satalites near you and helping get a quick lock.
Any go dev team app - Great dev team, all their apps are worth looking at.
Locating cpu% eating applications.
When in ADB shell type the following
top |grep app
or if your rom supports it htop is much better(Without grep, so just "htop")
Then look for items with high amounts of cpu% while the phone is idle.

Yeah I'm a always o/c to 1728 no problem any other time. I did turn it down too, and what had between going on is freezing and the screen getting strange while playing shadow gun and samurai 2. Other times there are just random reboots. I'm just going to assume the new screen improvements that caused this. So I went back to tiamat kernel sadly.

Well, I'm a pretty heavy user but I'm home alot so battery life isn't all that much of an issue. But today I unplugged at 100% at about 10am and my phone died about an hr ago. Mind you I've listened to my Google music for a good few hrs out the speaker on Max vol and text and am on the internet nonstop lol. Ill try my best to be an average user tomarrow and report battery stats

This kernel rocks. Hope you keep development going. I got a2sd working on miui with this! It doesn't work on other kernels. MIUI is now a 2.3.7 rom so I don't know if that changes anything. It still works great!

I know all the players have their respective kernels with basic overclocking built in. I'd LOVE to have a kernel with free/open overclocking through setcpu or a similar app.
I don't know about other kernels but Entropy's has overclocking up to 1.2ghz built in but I still find that to be horribly inadequate. I was running 1.5 stable on the stock rom and it made the whole device eons faster. I'm sick of having to use tegrak because it doesn't work on all the ROMs currently available.
Can anyone pretty please recompile the kernels with voltages and CPU speed unlocked? I know people will probably abuse it, but that's what disclaimers are for!
What ROM are you using? I've tried every single one compatible for the USA 5.0 version of the SGP, and TegraK has worked with all of them.

Didn't work on the CM9 roms.. 1.2ghz included in the kernel does, but that's it. Tegrak says device is not supported. It'd also be nice to have native OC support.
I have the 4.0 using Icy~Fusion ROM and TerraSilent 1.3.5 kernal. I'm using setCPU to overclock and undervolt. Overclock is at 1.2 (highest i can go). My problem is not being able to use the profiles. No profile i set will work. I've been told it's the kernal i'm using. Anyone else seeing this problem? Which kernal would you suggest i use on the 4.0 to get the profiles working?
I know it's not a kernel but you can oc the galaxy player to 1.6 ghz using an app called Tegrak. Only thing is you have to redo the oc after a reboot.

I use Faux's 026 GB 1.0GHz right now on Nottachtrix. Working fine for me, although my battery life has decreased slighty since updating from his 025 kernel. Faux's release is much newer than the Clemsyn kernels, so I would go with Faux.
Clemsyn and kholk used faux kernel and altered it. They have long since stopped making adjustments, as where faux still makes updates. Choice is yours to make, test them and see what you like.

Might also try the Faux 025 kernel. If you also UV by -50mV across the board you can extend battery life fairly well.

I installed "Voltage Control" app from the playstore and I UV by -50 of all lines(1000 mhz, 750 mhz... all of them) in the 'Voltage' section of the app. Is that right? Can it help me to extend my battery life?
Hi guys,
Looking for a tool or script or something to under volt the CPU. I have tried the 1.8ghz kernel but none of the oc tool apps would allow for voltage control. Any help will be appreciated. Google search resulted in general android under volt tips, wasn't specific enough.
