Droid Razr ICS no Data - Motorola Droid RAZR

I have been trying numerious ICS roms on my Razr (cdma).. and it seems they all have the same issue where you have to go into Phone Info and toggle between CDMA and GSM to get 3g to come up.. and occasionaly it drops out and needs to be done again..
any reason y all of these roms woudl have that.. i didn't see this issue untill the move to ICS..

They're all based on the same version of ICS that has the same data connectivity bug. Wait.

[Q] Rom Connectivity, do some Roms have better data connection?

Ok Im pretty new to all this. I have a droid eris which i was easily able to root thanks to one click root. I have flashed the newest vanilla tazz, and noticed that my signal went from 3g to H i know what this means but wanted to know if any other roms have better data connectivity. I was thinking about flashing Eris lighting or Nonsensikal but the pics i see of them say 3g for data. is it really that big a difference. or is there a rom with the "best" data connectivity. basically i want to get the fastest wifi tether possible for gaming on x box 360 from my Htc eris.
Argh. Duplicate posts in multiple threads are going to make me go postal.
Srry thought I got rid of this one going to try again now

Help with MIUI

what up everybody? I figured I'd come here to seek out some help for this huge problem I have...
Over in the Droid razr forums, we have an "MIUI port" and to be honest...its crap. Data drops and only way to fix is with a reflash, no 3g on newer versions of it, lag in the older versions with 3g, auto brightness problems, pretty sure there's some themeing issues also...
Anyways, the dev for the rom claims he's hard at work but the last time he updated the rom was in June. So I was wondering if anyone could share with me some info on how to fix some of these problems. I wanna take this on myself since obviously nobody else is. Biggest problem is getting 3g...3g worked on the older version but you would have to go into the phone info app and toggle the radio then change network type every time u restart the phone... so I want to get atleast 3g on the smooth running version on the rom. I have no clue where to start, that's why I'm here..
So to anyone that can help, me and the Droid razr community thanks you.

[Q] JB Verizon leak n China leak difference for GSM user?

I need some answer for those who know or those who already tried. Last week i flashed verizon JB leak on my Razr Maxx GSM (Originally AsiaRetail) Im from Malaysia btw bought the phone here. Then I followed the guides step by step until the gsm patching n it work flawless. The phone is smooth, all function is working as expected. Despite some popup dialog to choose global mode or not, which is because of the leak is originally for cdma i guess, but thats not a big deal. But then I realized the network signal(HSDPA/3G) is so weak n it didnt improve. I mean,in the place where i usually get full bars for HSDPA,I only get 2 or 3 bars max. Will this change if i flashed the china leak coz well i guess its originally for GSM? I changed back to D-Wiz ROM since Im kinda not feel secured with the low signal, afraid of missing calls, sms etc. But D-Wiz is going to launch the next update based on JB leak,so we need JB kernel as base. Im afraid what if I use the verizon leak n flash D-wiz on top of it,the problem will persists.
Ok since i got no answer,i hv new question, let say i just leave the low signal problem, didnt it affect the phone's battery life? I mean, low signal=bad battery consumption isnt it?

[Q] Did ICS update fix anything?

TL;DR Does the full ICS update fix 4G data crashes and reboots?
I have had the rebooting issues and 4G data crashes that seem so common on many forums however I have yet to read about a fix for them.
The reboot issue seemed to be caused by the phone switching between 3g and 4g. Using LTE On/Off prevents the reboots but I get random 4G crashes. They last only a few seconds but once they start its near impossible to use data and the phone must be restarted anyway. I'm rooted, S-Off with the recent ICS radios flashed on a Gingerbread ROM. My question is will flashing the full ICS ROM fix the issues? Or will a new SIM card fix the problems? Im still a little noobish with this stuff so please be gentle.
It might help considering the ota included a completely reworked ril and some other components the ril didn't have before that help tons. I haven't had one data drop where I have to switch to airplane mode or toggle data to get it back. I'm not running the official build but one of Santod's roms that is using the new ril.

Yes, the update and more importantly, the radios and new Ril, do fix the data drops, reboots, battery drain, etc,...
Well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
First time in a long time, that I have felt the radios were actually solid.
Thank you, I will be trying one of Santod's tonight.
And Santod thank you for getting the radios and ROMs out so quickly. Much appreciated!

JB ROM data

I've looked at several JB ROMs & it seems like a common issue, but I don't want to assume. Any time I use one of the JB ROMs, my data will intermittently go out & I have to shut off my data & restart it. Are there any ROMs that this isn't an issue?

Nah.. I have a same problem like you, its called data drop.. Since our evo is not get a jb update, i think this problem is hard to be solved but isn't impossible.. AFAIK the data drop issue related with a firmware and radio, unless if some dev can mod or hack the firmware, the problem will always remain.. IMHO..

I've been running SlimRom for 2 months now and haven't had that problem. With heavy data use it will sometimes go from 3g to 1x, but I had that with ICS roms as well. However, I'm running 4.1.2 not 4.2.2.

There is an app for that...
