What are some emulators you guys are using for your Atrix, for what games, what systems, etc. I'm going to start trying a ton but thought I'd fire up a conversation here on which emulators people prefer (if any for that matter) lol.
I use oid emus like gameboid (although they're not in the market anymore, I installed it with an apk) but it works great and can overclock... the Nintendo DS ones I use always seem to lag but works ok. By the way these are for Pokemon and Zelda games. They don't eat up too much power either, at least in my opinion. About 20%/hour of constant use.

Psx4droid running ff7, ff8 and ff9 gorgeously. Save states are awesome and the memcard files (.mmc) if renamed are compatible with epsxe on the computer

I've used Gameboid, psx4droid, and Snes9x ex, All with a Sixaxis(ps3) controller, and its extremely good if you like to play games in an emulator. All of those work pretty good, with out lag, too!
i cannt for the life of me get psx for droid to work any suggestions or pointers
im using 3.07

What DS Rom are you using? I cant seem to find one that works at all...
Gameboid is the best GBA emulator in my opinion. You cannot get it from the market anymore. But do a Google search and you can install it from an .Apk.

I'm using Gensoid, Snesoid, Gameboid and FPSE (psx4droid won't run Legend of Mana..........)
GameBoid, N64oid, Nesoid, Snesoid
I use the bluetooth Wiimote app and it works great.
Wiimote classic for N64 and Snes
and for gameboy and nes i use just the wii mote rotated.
Anyone getting random FCs while playing a game? Mine just exits to home every so often and it's rather annoying. If it happened to you and you found a fix please post!
not sure about that emulator but snesoid has been running flawlessly for me so far.

Don't have the link handy, I presume it was from the authors site. I had the problems with version for android 2.3 and up, but the version for 2.2 works perfectly so far in the 10 or so games I tried.

HI, Does anyone have tried playing with fpse on their galaxy S3? Is it super smooth for games like FFVII (no drop of fps transitioning to battle), FFVIII (fmvs) and so on.

Haven't yet tried my FF7 with it, but Tekken 3 via software GPU plugin and with 32bit rendering/anti-aliasing etc runs very well (near constant 60fps).
Check it out here @8mins55s:
Will have a go at some stage soon with FF7 and let you know if someone doesn't beat me to it.
Yeah do post what settings you're using ff7 on fpse with. My sound in ff7 is ****. Psxdroid seems to be playing games better than fpse. Also psxdroid is free now that it's being developed independently off the google play

I think you can tick spusync to make the sound better in ff7. I have tried that and the sound is a lot better. My only problem is when going into battle. The transition is just too laggy
I've ripped my Jedi Power Battles and Street Fight EX Plus Alpha disks and used them with FPse, they both run really well. For some reason none of the games I've downloaded work, only the two I've ripped works.
Well, I'm looking to play the Mario series games. I understand there are different emulators, I was wondering which one is the best. I don't mind paying for it im looking for the best one. I miss playing Mario on my super Nintendo. Anyone here have any good suggestion?

I use Game hunter from the market but you can just Google for the ROMs you want. Or try googling Emuparadise, first link that comes up.

Are there any good free N64 emulators?
Also being from the play store would be a plus.. I don't trust third party sites as much.
I'm having a weird problem, when I download roms it loads then all of a sudden the screen goes black...am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance

Yes, that's the one.
I've had a bunch of hassle with RetroArch. I can't seem to play any SNES game or PSX game for more than 15 seconds before I get kicked back to the emu select screen. I tried reinstalling and the problem is still there.
I'll have to go back to Super GNES and FPSE.

I'd never heard of RetroArch before reading this thread but I'm having the same exact same problem with it.
Not sure if you forgot N64 games but if you want, n64oid is the best for n64 roms.
Fpse is working great fory playstation needs. currently playing Diablo 1

Nothing will come close to Retroarch. Especially on the note 2. N64 is getting added to it as well as other systems.

Video of various systems on the note 2. Obviously it works perfectly.
Can someone pm me a safe rom site to use? Haven't used emulators since my bolt and not sure what's safe anymore

You can see retroarch playing ps1 games on a note 2 flawlessly. So obviously the issue is on your end.
I find that retroarch lacks in configuration where a normal standalone emulator exceeds, they make for better compatibility with games and performance tweaks. The downside is that standalones are about $4 each.

Can you elaborate on this? Retroarch is getting in game menus, built in wii remote support, and more cores. What do the paid emus who run worse and have frameskip on do better?
The wii remote is garbage for any system post Genesis. You need more buttons. I'm using sixaxis and dualshock3 controller. Like said before though, the configuration in retro is a little weak compared to all the oids with button mapping at least

You can plug in a plethora of different controllers into the wii remote, giving you a ton of options. You can see here with the official Neo Geo arcade stick plugged into the wii remote.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=pdsFgv3EGLk
Retroarch has native Sixaxis controls. Configure the pad with the sixaxis app and set it to gamepad mode, and retroarch fully maps it out for you by default.
The configuration for the button mapping is identical to the oids and other emus, you can manually go in and set each button on the controller with whatever you are using. Can you again tell me what else you think the paid emus do better so i can tell the devs directly? Feedback is important, so i'd like to know what else to suggest. So far you've just mentioned stuff retroarch already does out of the box.
