[Q]Rotation for sense ui - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think I encountered this once but I am having trouble finding it again.
Does anybody have the tweak to allow sense to rotate like other launchers?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium

Sense launchers don't rotate to landscape. There is a rom that was ported from the HTC flyer that supports it.

Pretty sure I happened to catch a simple file edit that allowed this but I'm having trouble finding it again.

It might be in the build prop.

CRT

Haven't seen this question asked since we got S-OFF/full root/custom ROMs.
Any chance of getting this implemented? Miss it from my Epic.

Hope someone figures it out soon =)

Do we need to adb push this? Is there any other changes that were made? Is this from the stock rom or did you rip it from someones rom? Just wondering cause I remember that alot of times devs will tweak stuff in there?
Sorry if this sounds dumb but what is CRT

I used Root explorer. If don't work, try reboot with wipe cache.

Services.jar does not change crt animations.. i tried it then asked advice and was told it was somewhere else entirely.
I recommend that nobody pushes the Service.jar that was posted...
I jumped the gun and adb pushed it to system/framework and the phone would not boot properly. stuck on wallpaper with no rosie. than several minutes later kept saying weather FC, sense, FC.. and that is all it did, over and over.
luckily I backed up my original service.jar, was able to pull that file, rename name it on my computer and re-push it to fix the problem.
Can you post it? I just flashed it but I haven't rebooted.

I'll post it now.
Change extension from .zip to .jar
I know several chefs have been talking about it, but is there a rom with this option built in yet? I'm on ShOOtEr rewind with the green overscroll incorporated, but would jump ship to get the CRT animation... Whos got it?!
this is driving all the devs crazy right now well figure it out one way or another

Has anyone tried 160dpi as a density setting?

I'm wondering if this might actually work...There are times when changing densities can have a "side effect".
Examples:
A) If you change the density to anything OVER 170 in Honeycomb, the native Honeycomb launcher is 'replaced' with the Stock Gingerbread launcher..
B) When using the DELL Streak, a switch to 160dpi results in full landscape mode for that launcher.
I'm wondering if possibly running our Sense 3.0 at 160dpi might have a similar effect....Would anyone that is running rooted Stock mind trying this? I'd try it, but I don't have a rooted Stock Rom, (after switching the setting in the build.prop for ViperRom, Sense won't lauch, but everything else works fine.)
Any ideas?

I did try that setting. I can not comment on sense. I am senseless, however it did work on launcher pro.

Can you elaborate on the unique thread you created about changing the native density settings to 160dpi? Where ever did you come up with such an original topic? I am absolutely sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation of your next post.

No Sarcasm:
Why would you start a thread posing EXACTLY the same question I asked, only 3 hours later than I did? And how did you come up with 160 as a reference number?
Honestly,now I'm just curious...
Go ahead, it's all yours. You can answer any replies in both threads. I'm done with this garbage....Sorry I got in your way, new OP.

I tried changing it to 167 in the build.prop. Cause that's what I used to rock with cm7 on my old hd2. When I restarted my phone to get the changes to apply, it was just black screen with capacitive buttons lit. Problem might be that density is way too low. I'll wait for CM to come out for the next time.
I tried it at 150 and it made things hard to read..
But no blackouts here.

Htc Quick Launch Widget from Htc Ryme

I am trying to get the quick Launch Widget off a Htc Ryme and onto my Rezound, I tried to send myself the apk and odex files from /system/app but the apk fails during installation, anyone know if there is something else I can do or try, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Had it on my Inc and Thunderbolt and some of the files are apk and some are .zip files so you have to be rooted I think.

I have possession of both phones , no root yet on either, both are running similar ver of gb and sense 3.5 , I just figured it was as easy as just installing the apk from one onto the other.

Two issues:
First, the resolutions on rhym and Rezound are different, so even if it loads, the widget will be small.
and second, If i'm not mistaken, the quicklaunch widget requires the fusion.apk to load properly also, all the gfx files are store there, along with images for other widgets, so rhym/Bliss fusion will most likely break all the rezound widgets also. Just an FYI.
I am sure you would have to be rooted and the widget would have to be built into a custom rom.

Rezound roms with transition animations?

Just wondering if the are any roms released that include any kind of window transition animations. I don't care if its a sense rom, or a clean Rom . I've tried a few, and all I see Is the fade in/out HTC transitions. Is there a software limitation preventing devs from adding this?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
its pretty easy i just think none of the devs want to include it
Possible to add them to a rom by flashing? Or would I have to create a rom with transition animations included , and is it not possible yet with ice on the rezound?

Try animod from the marlet
Hit thanks or ill hit you
Ineffabilis let's you disable them.
I have used others that let you disable them also. I think RezRom also.

Scrolling wallpaper in Sense 3.6

I love scrolling wallpaper, does anyone know is there a chance to mod Sense 3.6 to have scrolling wallpaper.
Any news, mods etc ...
I think you mean "any"
I wish I could help but I can't though. Sorry. I would like this too. It's like htc doesn't believe in scrolling wallpaper. Didn't exist in sense 3.0 either.
