First off, let me say that this is one of the smoothest roms I have downloaded for my phone. I flashed my phone with the official 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware which includes baseband .64. I then flashed my phone with Rage kernel for CM7 and finally flashed the rom in CWM. The following was the result:
Everything works except the FM radio. The FM radio program in the lewa os loads but it proceeds to turn on my bluetooth and then I hear a couple clicks in the headphones. After that, I don't hear anything. I expected to hear some static at least, but nothing. The keyboard had the wrong layout, so I had to use the touch keyboard, but I believe the keyboardchanger from FXP group would work in changing to the correct layout. I have not tried this yet, but honestly, these flaws did not take way much from the over all satisfaction I got from this rom. Everyone should give it a try. I really was impressed by the unique incoming call screen. I am usually annoyed by the small low res caller ID pictures, but this rom does something a little special that makes the small caller ID negligible.
5 star rom. kudos to triasbrata and all others involved. Well done.

I recently upgraded to Erofich's excellent Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard ROM v9b and it is working absolutely brilliantly with only a single, but sadly agonizingly painful, flaw:
The external screen won't reliably show the caller's name and picture from the phone book. Instead it shows the caller's number and the "caller unkown" picture.
It never works on the first attempt after the phone has been turned on but when the person calls back a second time name and picture are usually displayed perfectly fine for this caller - until the next reboot.
Erofich claims that this sadly is a typical issue with most if not all custom StrTrk ROMs and I have no reason to doubt him. And since I otherwise love this ROM and already put a lot of effort into customizing it and setting it up perfectly I have absolutely no desire to test other ROMs for this behavior.
But since the caller ID works fine on the second time a caller calls, I'm wondering if this might be an easily fixed bug. Maybe there simply isn't something initialized on boot that normally should be?
So my questions:
* Who else experiences this bug?
* Are all custom WM 6.1 Std ROMs affected or are there exceptions?
* Has anyone already found a solution to this?
* If so, can it be applied to my current ROM?
I can't be the only one annoyed by this infuriating bug. I like to know who is calling me without having to open the phone first (the caller ID on the internal screen works perfectly fine all the time) or withjout having to memorize every single phone-number in my address book.
Hi
I'm using the Clean STD ROM WM 6.1 OS ver 5.1.19202
I have experienced this problem ONCE only, a few weeks ago but not since. I've been running the rom for nearly a year now and that was the only time.
What happened in my case was that it displayed the name but not the picture, which did appear eventually after several seconds just as I answered it. It seemed like there was a delay finding the picture or something.
What would be nice though is if there was a way to change the unknown caller picture (blue outline with ?) so something of our own choosing.
I don't care about the unknown caller picture, it fits nicely with the rest of the StrTrk external screen theme.
And I wouldn't mind too much if it occasionally took a little longer to show the correct picture.
But for me, the first phone call from a caller after turning on the phone (even when it has been running for hours) always won't show name and picture. If only one of both were missing, I could live with it - but this is actually causing some serious problems since I now frequently have to identify callers by their number and ringtone.
I think this is a bug in Erofich's ROM that somehow can be fixed, but if Erofich himself, probably the most experienced ROM-cooker in this forum, can't fix it, who can?
all of the custom roms (roms by me, GnatGoSplat, Pampooh, etc) are based on cingular 4.1.502.5 rom
try to take SubDisplayDll.dll from last Qtek 8500 rom, and rebuild your rom using kitchen
Thanks for the reply, Erofich.
My educated guess is that the SubDisplayDll.dll is not the source of the problem, it seems more likely that something that is supposed to call this dll isn't correctly started.
Well, since you STD_v9b ROM seems to have a time-bomb I'm forced to find a different ROM anyways
Well, this is my chance to find out how the others are behaving - lemons ... lemonade ... etc.
This is the Rom I've been using :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380554
you could give that a try.
I don't think I had such problem with 1.1.7, less lag/delay before the name is displayed (will only get the number) in the call history as well.
Hi,
The problem with my LwW is the lack of sound. Basically, at some point neither the speakers nor the microphone don't work. The problem most frequently occurs when trying to dial a number or make a phone call, whereas the phone stops working, and a message saying that com.android.phone process stopped, shows up on the screen. The sounds seem to appear sometimes, after multiple reboots (the pleasure, though, doesn't last for long). However, that is not an adequate solution for this issue, you'd agree.
What I did notice is a characteristic snapping sound, crackling, that comes from both the front and rear speakers, but also from the earbugs when attached, which makes me think it's rather a software issue, not a hardware one. Perhaps it's something wrong with the phone app? Currently LWW is running Real ICS 6 custom ROM, I had reflashed to Gingerbread and tried stock ICS, but the problem presisted. Bootloader is locked, so I cant install any custom kernel. I attached the phone to ADK and tried to read warnings from LogCat when playing music but it doesn't show any particular problem except few android.phone warnings. I dont know which type of messages I should be looking for.
If anyone had this issue (or a similar one) please feel free to post your suggestion
Thanks
Hi.
I was using my Atrix with CM7 MROM for long time.
Yesterday I switched to CM9 Olympus with new kernel by krystianp. It's great rom but...
I got two little problems:
1. when I plug my headset I don't have icon informing about this.
2. when headset is plugged it auto pick up calls. I found something like this "phone>menu key>call settings>Accessory settings for call" but I don't have this options in my dialer or anywhere else.
Can anyone help me with this? Icon is just a feature I liked but auto answering calls is a little disturbing for me. Especially when I don't know who is/was calling.
It is pretty clear you don't know what you're doing, or else you wouldn't flash an experimental ROM and then complain about a bunch of already very well known issues.
I suggest in the future you stick to GB ROMs and stay away from things you don't understand.

I thought auto answer was normal function which is working and I didn't find anything about problems with it. So if it can be turn on should also be able too turn off...
I know that new kernel and roms are in development and that they have some bugs (proximity sensor, screen tearing, problem with some games) but one app which I needed runs only on 4+ Android.
So could answer me it is possible to turn off auto answering calls or it is bug which I miss reading threads about kernel/cm9/cm10?
Hey guys, i'm new as far as posting on the forum is, but i have been flashing ROMs for quite a while now. Now, i have a peculiar problem that should probably be shared on Omega ROM thread, but as a newbie i can't post there, so i'll try here...
I started having problems as soon as i flashed Omega 50.1, when in call, and putting that person on the speaker, as i often like to do. Usually, it doesn't take more then 20 seconds to lose the connection, and both me and the called person get the squelchy noise. Now, when i flash the ROM it works perfectly, so i figured it had to be a Modem, one of Mods i'm using, or perhaps the Moto theme. After flashing (full wipe) several modems and Moto theme, everything was fine. Moving on, as I use a few Mods that can be downloaded for the ROM, and after installing and testing each and every one of them, it seems that when i install Modded Camera 1.52 the problem with speaker noise comes to life. So when modded camera installed, you can't put a caller or a person you called on a speaker without losing the connection and getting weird noise out of speakers.
Having this in mind, can someone try to replicate the problem, cause to me it really seems it might be a bug.

first thing never flash more than one mod at a time. Always reboot when you flash any mod. Now what you have to take out the camera.apk from the omega rom zip file and put it in your preload/symlink/system/app by replacing the modded camera then set oermission and reboot. Hope it works otherwise reflash the rom again.
Good luck
Hello,
I got a very strange Problem.
When People call me, i can answer without Problems, even that wasnt since i started using android 4.4.4, but it started working when i smallered the dalvik cache and used low-ram attribute in build.prop.
But another Problem keeps:
I cant always call other people. I tip on the number, the phone app should open, but the Display keeps gray, with the status bar above, not more.
I cant cancel everything, the Phone seems to be fully crashed, but the guy gets the call, if he answers it, he hears me but i doesnt hear him !!!
So if i wont remove the battery fast enough, i also will pay for this call.
Anyone Problems with this behaviour ?
I got this Problem with every 4.2++ rom i tested, and i really dont know if it still persists with 4.1, because there is not really a rom which i would stay on (except the original ported xperia Z rom, which really sucks in design, apps, settings, etc)
I mean, am i the only one ? I think others should have this problem like me too, its a normal xperia U and i flashed the roms like they should be flashed.
I didnt found anything while googling, even on this side.
