hey there
i just flashed ICS on my NEO and supercharged it and it works great.
i only got one question. in this forum i saw a lot of kernels and basebands (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1504700)
they seems to be newer than those who are on my phone. i made a screen of mine:

"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
so are my baseband and kernel old? would it be better to install nightelf
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566871
and the "Baseband 70" for best performance?
you already have baseband 70
and as for kernels, wouldn't advise night-elf's kernel, as I had battery drain with that kernel after I would turn wifi off.
can you advice a good kernel?
and is there a way to open bootloader without sony know it?

I see you are new here, so my advise is go to development sections here, and in Arc section. Read few sticky threads.
And yes, it's possible, but involve using test point. As I said, head out to dev section and read, if you don't understand something, ask, but first read.
Also try using already existing threads

p.s. sources for ICS kernel are still not out, so don't expect to much from custom kernels, at the moment.
I also still waiting for official kernel
I use night-elf rc2 kernel and baseband 70 and work well

DooM has done this in doomkernel
Thanks. I checked it out..it says that it's for the build version 3.0.1.G.0.75. I'm runnning the CM7-ZMOD. Do I have to flash back to stock ROM to get this kernel, or can I install this kernel right away? Thanks

I would ask around in the discussion thread for cm7-zmod. Just ask there. They will tell what they use.
I think doomkernel has a cm kernel?

Hi,
I just rooted my SGS2 using the following kernel: CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-PROPER-v5.4-CWM5, the problem is forgot to write down my original data, so is there a way to know it?
and does rooting the phone also changes the Build Number and Baseband Version?
Here is my current data:

build and baseband are not modified by the kernel

Well I'm afraid the kernel I used won't be compatible with the phone, isn't that right?
I'm sorry I'm new to this

If you want to unroot all you have to do is go to www.sammobile.com and download the stock firmware and flash through Odin. You will get your stock Kernel back. So don't worry, try some aftermarket kernels

if it isn't compatible, the phone won't turn on, or pass the Samsunggalaxy GT-I9100 screen. so don't be afraid. just in case, and to be safe, if your phone is working OK right now, you should make a nandroid backup in CWMR (volumeup+home button+power button). and then you can mess with anything you want (except stock kernels made from 9 of july of 2012 to now) and there will be almost no problems
you can try any kernel...not every kernel works fine in terms of battery life and hardware manage. even though is the one that came with your custom rom. the same is for modem(baseband)
i am trying to find all the answers to start making improvements to my sony ericsson xperia neo v (mt11a). for the past two weeks it seems asking question and getting small answer from probably and not sure. give me the idea to start a thread for this question for apparently no one decided to make the diference between the two versions in reference to rooting flashing kernels and roms from mt11i to mt11a. in short please guys i would love for your input into making my phone run as smoothly as all of yours . thank you all for your support.
rooting method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038
I have officially confirmed for my fellow noobs that flashing. To my 11I firmware will not take away 3g functionality. Hence go ahead and follow method by madfish to flash and root with custom firmware or rom. Have any questions I am willing to help to the best of my ability. Here is a screenshot of my mt11a running mt11i ics 4.0.4 build. 431 and custom Rom Xperia pureness. Thanks again madfish and jofensu for their wisdom.

Hey guyz plz help i'm stuck on the SE LOGO after installing minicm9 on my sony ericsson xperia x10 mini pro I have wiped cache too bt i'm stuck on that boot screen plz help
I don't think this forum is for x10s.....plzzz post in correct sections.....and please no need to make threads for a particular rom...you could just post in your rom's thread as the devs can help you better there....and have you flashed the given kernel....next time plzzz see the rules before making a new thread
Press THANKS if I helped,
Regards,
AJ
