Here is the radio from the leak on 5/2 for those of you who would like to try it.
http://www.mediafire.com/?93i6ppvasdpetet
MD5: cd59d504b81aa2ac7e8aaf5f5fd017d4
As has been stated, these radios are not updated from the 3.11 RUU leak. If you are already on that RUU you will not see a difference.
If you flash to the 3.13 RUU then you will most likely see an improvement due to the following files in the RUU being updated:
Boot.img
hboot
initramfs
Aside from those those the RUU appears to be pretty much exactly the same as the 3.11 release.
Warning: I am not responsible for any damage you do to your phone. Flashing radios can leave your phone inoperable if something goes wrong.
Installation:
REQUIRES S-OFF
1. Rename zip to PH98IMG.zip and put it on an SD card.
2. Unplug any USB cables from your phone, Open the phone, and remove the battery.
3. Insert the SD card with the zip file on it into your phone and reinsert your battery.
4. Hold down the VOL-DOWN and POWER buttons until your phone turns on and enters hboot.
5. Hboot will scan for the file. Once it finds it, press the VOL-UP key to flash.
6. Wait for the process to complete.
7. Press power once hboot prompts you.
8. Enjoy the speed (hopefully)
I am seeing a vast improvement running the 3.13 RUU with this radio. I have not tried it in other ROM or RUU versions.
On 3.13 RUU I am getting 10+mb down / 2+mb up in my lead paint coated apartment.
On 3.11 RUU I was lucky to even get an LTE signal.
Please check out superchilpil's post if you want the whole leak: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614366

Changing radios in the passed caused 4G issues. So be warned!!
Yeah, but folks were going back to GB right?

My thread has the new leak with the hboot and radios, I've upgraded from the gb firmware with no issues
If you do try it and encounter issues I've attatched the stock recovery, use it and factory reset
The hboot doesnt have the extra fastboot commands so if you need them then down flash it

Flashing the entire 3.13 ICS leak RUU fixed the radio issues I was having. I hadn't had a good connection since the original stock.
Definitely have no idea how the new radios will work with other builds though.
Do we need to be s-off for this? Or can we just set this up as a ph98img?

Thank You Sir!!! Time to flash!!!
I don't think that it has been mentioned yet being that radio flashing is a new thing for the Rezound. But on the Dinc one way that people were able to brick their devices was flashing the same radio on top of itself. What would happen is someone would flash their PH*.zip file, then not delete it off the root of the SD Card and then the next time they went in to their bootloader it would still be there and prompt them to update. They would say Yes and then get bricked.
Not sure if that is the same for the Rezound, but I would hate to hear about someone bricking their phone because of this. So remember to immediately remove your PH98IMG.zip after flashing your radios guys.
Let me know if y'all experience data issues

So, I have tried very very hard to fix this, but now I'm out of ideas completely.
My problem is that I have no clue how to get from the ICS RUU leak to the most recent software update from HTC. There probably is a way to do it, but that isn't the only problem. I have no cable to do it with and my phone constantly restarts due to jacked software installation. So please, anybody who can assist me I would forever love you and such.
Thanks anybody
Also don't hate me if this belongs in Q&A, I wasn't sure.

So uh, not to be a smartass, but how do you charge your phone without a cable?
all you should have to do is go into hboot and flash the latest RUU. If you get the mainver error use one the many tools/tutorials on here.

I worded that bad. I have a cable, but it doesn't have the ability to transfer data between my phone and any computer. (I don't have the original cable, it was replaced by a mini-usb)
EDIT: I also can transfer data from my SD card to my computer, just not directly through the phone.

first run updates hboot. second runs through the rest.

I think I have the wrong file then or something. I did run it twice because I thought that I did it wrong
You can't go back to the latest GB RUU from the leaked ICS RUU. This is because the new RUU has a higher HBOOT version than the old, and even though you can reduce your mainver, you can't go back to an older HBOOT. You do have some options though:
1) Try to fix the issues you are having by reflashing the leaked RUU.
2) Wait for the ICS OTA, and you should be able to upgrade to that
3) Beta testing for Juopunutbear S-Off is now over, and it has been proven successful. Once this method is released, you can do it to your phone, and once you have S-Off, you should be able to run downgrade your HBOOT and run any RUU (newer or older) that you want.
Spend less time working on your sig, and more time reading the actual forums.

I needed help, not your smart ass comments
i looked everywhere and couldnt find a solution to my hboot problem. first off.....i am not a developer this isnt my doings..... that being said, im on the newest leaked ics ruu, or leak, whatever u wanna call it im on it. well i couldnt use any fastboot commands so i did some looking around, seems the hboot in this leak, and the previous ics leak are the same, with a different version number. so in my looking through threads i saw someone had flashed the juopunutbear patched 2.21 over the current 2.25 leak with success. so i decided to go ahead and go 4 it. its working fine for me, i now have the latest leak with fastboot commands working. http://unlimited.io/hboot-downloads/ here is the thread to the hboot download u will need if u are interested. make sure u get the ics download, follow the commands provided in the link. once you are finished with the commands provided in the link u will c a green status bar on your phones screen, just type fastboot reboot. i hope this helps those having issues, like i was. THIS IS @ YOUR OWN RISK!!!
if this post is not allowed, or in the wrong spot feel free to remove or move it....im just trying to help out. AGAIN THIS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!
EDIT: upon my first reboot after doing this i had a unexpected phone forceclose, i rebooted to recovery fixed permissions rebooted and all is fine. no problems whatsoever.

Hboot 1.4
rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620318 (Newts one)
please help. this is really irritating me.
I had the very same problem (on RC3). I later remembered that I just upgraded the radio to the latest version. Downgrading back to the radio in the 1.13 RUU (v0530) resolved the issue. My battery life dropped tremendously on the new radio as well.
On a side note, have you tried other ROMs since then? If it's happening in all ROMs it could be an issue there as well.

Under downloads you'll see this: From the 1.13.651.7 OTA/RUU. Click the CDMA link (for 0.97.10.0530). Place this file on the root of your SD card (must be PG86IMG.zip - case sensitive!) and power on phone into bootloader mode (vol down + power). It'll verify and ask you to flash.
Be very careful doing this because you can potentially brick your phone if you don't know what you're doing. There are more detailed instructions at the thread at the beginning of this post. Post back here if you have any issues so I can help you out!
Good luck!
EDIT: If you have access to a computer, follow the "How To Flash" instructions at the link so you can verify the MD5 to make sure the download isn't corrupted.

i have the current radio 0.97.00.0518, flashing this will be safe, right?
also, will it erase my phone data?
The radio version you have is from RUU 1.11 which is one of the oldest ones for this device. I'm curious to know how it's still there unless you've never done an OTA/Hboot downgrade.
It will not erase your handset, only updates the radio software which is a completely separate part of your phone. Just follow the instructions and read through them a few times. I've upgraded/downgraded my radio several times following those instructions.

If it restarted after the radio update: flash the 2.17 RUU then downgrade hboot to 1.4 -OR- flash the 2.17 zip and remove the hboot file.
If it restarted during the radio update: (this is bad). The problem could be with a faulty battery. But that is the least of your problems now.
I'll get the link the 2.17 downloads for you. just a sec..
EDIT#1: Here is a link to the PG86IMG.zip for 2.17 containing the latest software and firmware. Delete the HBOOT file from the zip using WinRAR, 7Zip, etc. and rename zip file to PG86IMG.zip, move to root of SD and flash.

Glad to hear your restarts have stopped. As far as internet, that was a known issue with earlier kernels. I have Chad's RLS5 kernel; PM me if you'd like it. It fixes lots of issues with WiFi, 3G connectivity, animations, etc.
Sometimes the random reboots are a hardware problem or a radio problem. I used to get them every once in a while but they stopped ever since I updated the radio and firmware to the 2.17 Fw. Freeza had posted an all-in-one radio/fw update that removed the hboot that could possibly work..

I had this problem and the solution was much simpler -- pull your memory card out and see if the reboots stop.
If that's the problem, back up the card to a computer and long format it.

I was also having issues with random reboots on my phone. These seemed to only be occurring while the phone was asleep (in my pocket, on a desk, etc...). I had somewhere on the order of 7-8 reboots in a 48 hour period. I also flashed the all-in-one radio/fw update that Freeza posted, and have had zero reboots while sleeping in the 72 hours since. I highly recommend flashing this all-in-one update if you are having issues with reboots while sleeping.
Recently acquired a Rezound in unknown, but not working condition. Previous owner said he tried to put a ROM on it, and it didn't work. He said it worked prior to the failed mod, and he's not a stranger, so I believe him.
All the original packaging and hardware are here. I don't think there is any hardware damage, everything looks visually ok. Does not appear to be the original SD card, it's only 8 gb.
The battery has power, and when I turn it on, I get the white HTC screen for at least 20 minutes.
I'm not a complete noob, I have successfully done a lot of mods to my old Eris, but this Rezound is a different animal. How do I proceed?
I tried to fix this earlier, and had to set it aside. Now I'm trying again.
Boot into hboot (google it if you don't know) and tell us the hboot version. If you can see the white htc screen the phone software can be fixed relatively painlessly.

Did you wipe data a few times before installing CleanROM?
"A few times"? No. I just did it once.
Update:
I added the GB firmware update, and followed the instructions for Method 4 at:
http://www.scottsroms.com/content.php/153-Rezound-CleanROM-Developer-Edition-1-4-is-now-out!
I downloaded his files, including the PH98IMG.zip, and also flashed that per the instructions.
Do I need to wipe multiple times?
as a heads up, I did get a warning in the Fastboot that said the battery voltage was low. Could that be the source of my headaches?
Personally the best thing to do IMHO is to flash the RUU and start over. See if that boots. If it doesn't then you have a other problems.
Also. If you try reflashing in recovery wipe data, boot and system.
Flash that Rom, gb patch, then reboot to bootloader and flash the ph98img.

Ok, I'll give that a try. Can you be more specific about the ruu? Do you mean the ones linked on Scotts How To Unroot Android Forums sticky? (http://androidforums.com/rezound-al...ys-noob-friendly-root-guide-start-finish.html)
I'm trying to charge the battery, but it definitely isn't getting past the white HTC screen.
Thanks for the help so far.

Yes where Scott says full RUU. Follow that to a T.
It really sounds like a kernel issues, but to be on the safe side. Sometimes you just have to ruu regardless cause something got messed up that wiping in recovery can't fix.
If it boots after RUU, reunlock, s-off and be a happy camper. If you get it to boot after ruu and need more help just PM me or repost in this thread.
You seem to be pretty good at searching. All the info you need is on these forums.

So far so good. Running the ruu now, and it's sending. If this works it will get me back to a working phone, which is all I need for now. I'll be back to rom it again. Or maybe I'll just put a launcher on it which may be enough temporarily.
Ok, bingo. I'm in. Sent a donation. Thanks.

I am glad you got it working, but in all honesty you didn't have to donate a dime to me. Would have helped you either way. I'll probably just end up passing it along to a dev who really deserves it.

So I finally cracked down and went S-Off today. Though I had been having the sim issues. Given that I'm S-Off, is there any way to apply the update without overly screwing myself and having to fully re-do my phone? How would you go about it?

Just flash a Rom based on 2.06

Just flashing a Rom will not update the firmware. You can either flash the full ruu or just the radios from a radio thread and that will do it. It will not mess s-off up but if you have the eng hboot it will overwrite it so you will have to reflash it

In the s-off thread grab the firmware.zip and flash it. It will update your firmware to 2.06 without messing with s off. Do keep in mind this will replace your kernel recovery and hboot .
You will still be soff, so when finished reflash eng hboot if you desire, reflash TWRP AND flash a new kernel if nedded.

Kirk and big are both wrong. Radio's are just that....radio's, not firmware. Same for the Rom.
You update your windows/linux software. But you may not have updated your system's bios firmware

At minimum he can flash the new radio, if he still has the problem then he can flash the new kernel.
There is no ruu for 2.04 or 2.06.
So I updated the radio, changed roms to NOS M7, and changed my kernel to Beastmode. Besides experiencing a 1-2% more increase in batt drop/hour, I just had the SIM issue again. Bah. My Otterbox is gonna hate me for removing it again lol
Updating the Radio =/= to updating the firmware afaik. I too would like a guide on how to do this firmware update since the Sim Card thing is a pain.

I keep getting mixed answers on this one. I've heard updating the radio does it, and I've heard I have to roll all the way back then push back forward...Do we have anything more concrete? Confirmed my radio is up to date.

Updating the radio pretty much does it. The rest of the stuff is just things like the stock recovery, hboot, kernel, and a few other things.

I had a lot of SIM issues even after updating radios. I did what I posted above and havent had it since.

Did this. I flashed new radio. Then Rom. Then beastmode kernel. I've had the SIM issue twice today. Seriously wtf.

Which new kernel are we talking about? Isn't the 5.9 beastmode a build off the new kernel?

No, it's built off of 2.04 since there is no source for 2.06

I've been having the same issue with the SIM card. I've been asking around and they say it's not the radio that needs to be updated, it's the phone. i've tried new kernels, different firmware, ROMs etc. Still having the issue, with no SIM card found.
Putting it into airplane mode is getting really old.
I think I will need to turn S-OFF back to S-ON, before I take it back into verizon, though. So that's my next task.
Hmm. That's not really an option for me. My phones old. Guess I have to either find the new kernel (anyone running it?) or wait till the src comes out for the devs to work on. Its an odd bug.

Did you flash the pl8xxxx.zip from the s-off thread like I suggested? Or did you simply flash the radio's again from the thread you posted?
If you didn't do what I suggested what's the point in asking questions if you're not going to try the solutions.
Your response leads me to believe you flashed only the radio's again.

I didn't flash anything yet. I wanted to wait for a response for clarification. I will try what you said.
Isn't the signed firmware in that post the same we flashed to get the error to get S-Off? I'm just reflashing? Wouldn't that throw the same error?

It spit the 92 error because we weren't s-off. You may need to flash it twice.
After flashing it you will get all the updated firmware. It will give you a tampered message in the stock hboot. It will also restore stock recovery.
When finished boot back to android 'fastboot reboot'
Then 'adb reboot recovery'
Then fastboot rebootRUU, flash the eng hboot.
Your tampered message will disappear , fastboot flash recovery xxxx
Reboot and see if you get the SIM error.
No guarantee it will fix it, I also disabled the fastboot option in the power settings .
