I tried to flash KA17 on my neo and it hit 31% and stopped there for like three hours.. I disconnected it and started again but it hit 28% and then it said that my device is disconnected.. I thought it might be because my battery is low but when I connect it, it turns on and off and it shows a picture that had a phone and and exclamation mark If anyone knows how to help me I'd be really grateful..
Are you flashing ka17 with flashtool?

Yes, I'm using flashtool..

Sorry for my poor english!
What happened when you tried SEUS?
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
SEUS tells me that the cellphone has the newest software.
When I start the cellphone it never goes further than to the "Sony Ericsson" startscreen. When i try to enter CW recovery it gives me a strange looking screen with green colors. How can I restore CW recovery and how can I install a kernel again?
Try flash stock rom by Seus, you can do it even if SEUS show you that you already have the newest software, and than root, install recovery, instal GB rom and than flash kernel
And remember to unlock bootloader before flash kernel!
Which kernels and rom did u flashed?

hi, i was flashing the same kernel onto my sisters x10 mini pro and when i went to flash i got the error before it allowed me to flash the kernel, i used PC companion to repair, located in the software update section once i did that, i just unlocked the bootloader and root. hope this helps you.
I have triede with pc companion, it will not let me update, and it is not possible for me to put the phone into USB debugging, because the phone do not startup. I realy hoped that someone other than me has had this error before. But when I google the error, it doesn't come up with much.

Hello, I just recovered a friend's phone from this problem. Nothing worked before but I found the solution, at least for me.
First I want to tell what I tried:
Flashing with PC Suite
Flashing with PC Companion
Flashing with FlashTool
Flashing with SETool Box 2
Nothing worked. Mainly because the dumbass of my friend tried to update latest version while it failed (don't know if battery problem, cable or whatever).
The problem is that it just hanged in "Sony Ericsson" screen and not recovery possible.
And when flashing I got:
ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
=== Now how I solved it ===
What I did is download the u20i1.6 binary fron XDA developers. It said it's a zip but it's just a RAR.
I had to uncompress it in a folder. And create a bundle with FlashTool with those files. I will try to upload this.
Then I flashed it. It worked without the error.
-------------------
- At the time of writing this. I upgraded the phone with the PC Companion but
- after updating the phone just got hanged again. It just flash red light when
- swithing on. I don't know why. Have to see.
- Update: Was not hanged I just had to force off (long press on the power button) and then on. The PC Companion finished updating.
- Update: Flashed last version and now SETool Box2 is not able to unlock. Better to stay on 2.X.

No for kernel.sin of the stock firmware you go in flashmode and exclude all except from kernel...
Try it again, install the drivers again, press volume down while connecting, it must work. Take off battery before you try and reinsert. The phone must be turned off!

So i have played with some roms for my phone. ended vith cm9 stable. Everything worked fine. And tried to install the latest gapps "gapps-ds-ERE36B-signed" and BANG the rom wont work anymore..
No roms i have tried after that work.. I cant even start the phone.. Only sony logo comes up, so i guess i have a bootloop. Can only access the bootmode.
When i try to use a different rom i cant even install it.. Only get a error so installing is abortet.. Tried to open the file in the rom to delete the first line before i compress it again but wont work either.
For normal people like me who are not a tec-wizzard it's pretty hard to understand the technical things of all this.. Kernels, roms, chaches, flash and a ton of other things.
Anybody got a easy solution to fix this?
My phone is a ICS 4.0.4 587 version
Sony logo means you are on stock kernel.
For start flash full .587 ftf and then start from beginning.
If you have some data to save, you can exclude wiping data.
Btw, what is error which you get when installing new rom? Always give error or log or anything that could easy up helping.

The error was :
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "MT15i" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "MT15i" ||
getprop("ro.product.device") == "MT15a" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "MT15a" ||

You are telling contradictory info.
First you said rom stopped working, then you said you tried some other roms, but also you said you have bootloop and that you can only enter bootmode(I guess you meant fastboot mode?)
You can enter CWM recovery?
What happens when you connect your phone to charger(wall charger, not USB) for few minutes?
What happens when you connect your phone in flashmode(back key+cable) and what happen when you connect it in fastboot mode(menu key+usb cable). Does LED light up? If possible post log from flashtool.

After i had sucsess with cm9 and tested it out for a little while i tried to install gapps. That failed and after that i could not boot up the phone normal. got bootloop. So i tried a different cm9 and cm7 and it did not work. Bootloop again. Tested kernels also.. Did not help. Yes meant fastboot
Had no problem entering CWM befor now.
Tried to charge it in wall socket for 2 hours but cant see if it helped.
Flashmode works and get positive in flashtool for a minute and then it disconnect. Hence reason i think battery is low. Yes light green when connect.
And after it turns off i get USB can not be readed. And if i leave the usb connected i see the sony logo on phone and every 10 minutes or so it looks like it get a little power because it connects to flashtool again and it connects befor it disconnects a minute later.

You can kill your phone even by updating it with PCC or SEUS. There is always chance that something will go wrong
And flashing with flashtool is having same chances as with PCC or SEUS.
But to comfort you, flashtool had one bug in linux version some time ago, and while I was testing it, it got interrupted few times, simply killed flashtool and start from beginning again. No problem.
Btw, phone should be off when flashing and in flashmode. Have you ever flash with flashtool? If not, read tutorial.

Not sure about first question, but there is dedicated thread in dev section on how to install CWM.
About second question, if you do that, phone will simply not boot correctly, it will ether stuck on boot logo, or it will enter in bootloop. Nothing will be broken, you just need to re-flash it with flashtool.

Yes, bootloader is still unlocked.
About CWM, same as above, there is thread in one of dev section about CWM.
But since you have unlocked BL, you simply flash custom kernel as 99% of them have root and CWM inbuilt. Or if you wanna be on stock rom, you can hotboot any custom kernel and enter in CWM and flash superuser.zip

If you bootloader is unlocked you can try flash a kernel with CWM that support adb.
If not, do you have the FTF file for the firmware that is currently installed?
I would try at first flashing system.sin only from the firmware FTF, no wipes everything else expluded.
You will lose root and other modes copied directly to /system but you should have data intact.

Well no CWM installed & I haven't done the unlocking of bootloader yet.
Yeah I do have these two files in my flashtool firmware folder which I used :
MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.10_KERNEL.ftf
MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf
Which one are you referring to, since I had to use .10 first followed by .54 to get the root done !
Can you please point to a tutorial where I can follow the steps which you are referring to? That will be helpful

But flash overrides and erase everything.
For root didn't you just had to install kernel .10 over .54 firmware no?
Anyway the system from the one that is flashed now you the only one that knows which, I am guessing .54

Check this link: "theunlockr.com/2013/09/10/how-to-root-the-sony-xperia-sola-running-6-1-1-b-1-54-firmware/"
I used the above method to get the root done. Yeah it's running .54 currently. But the rooting wasn't the issue, it happened successfully, the theme which I mentioned gave me endless loop of restarts problem.

I just said that flashing system will make you lose anything that's on it, in that includes root

How are you trying to get into recovery?
What does the LED do while you boot the ZU?
I would just flash jackie099's kernel and restore the backup from there - I cant see how flashtool would be failing except for a problem on the PC

If its so hard for you, i suggest to flash 757 ftf and begin from scratch...its not so hard to do it all over again...after you get recovery, just restore your backup...

yes master...
i cant get into recovery, i used to get no problem at all flashing kernels or down/upgrading ftf to it...
but right now i'm stuck with this kernel wich theres no recovery at all, no light no recovery...:crying:
i've tried to reflash kernels many times but failed...
the worse part that i got is that it has no signal at all...:crying:
if i flash it with any new ftf (down/upgrade), the kernel should be replace by the list on ftf package right...
but not mine...
Stucks... (3.4 bla bla)
how could i recover my ZU if i cant flash the kernel...:crying:

Download this: https://mega.co.nz/#!Vh8xEZYR!HwGosI...VlhUObM0NdNrPg
Make sure your phone is turned off.
Start Flashtool and click the lightening bolt at the top left and select 'FASTBOOT MODE'.
You should now see a new window of flashtool titled FASTBOOT TOOLBOX.
Plug in your phone while holding the Volume Up button
Back on flashtool: To the far right where it says 'By DOOMLORD', just below that the second option is 'Select Kernel to Flash', click it.
Browse for the .IMG file that you downloaded from the top of this post(which is the boot file for your phone to boot and let you into recovery).
Change the file type that's listed next to File Name at the bottom of the browse window, to .IMG
Select the .img file and it should flash automatically and tell you to check the log list shown right in flashtool before rebooting. If you don't see any errors then go ahead and unplug your device and boot it and try going into recovery.
You should be good to go now.

I think we need to see a log or screen grab of the output of flashtool when you try and flash a kernel and a FTF
I think "invalid argument" normally happens on a locked bootloader???
