So I'm trying to download some apps earlier and I keep getting a toast message saying I'm out of space/memory on my SD card. I went to apps manager and my internal is at 405mb and my SD card says unavailable. I'm running cm7. Any suggestions?

Hey chaps.
For quite some time I've been unable to access my external sd card via recovery. I use astro explorer and I can access emmc which doesn't make sense in my mind
When in recovery I can access internal sd but not the sd card itself. I get the "E: can't mount /sdcard/" error. If I manually try and mount the sdcard it says "Error mounting/sdxard:
Using latest siyah kernel. Remix res 1.8.1. 32gb micro sdxc
Any and all suggestions are valued.

Does your phone recognize the SD card?? If so go to settings, storage and format external SD card

Sorry for the delay guys. Found out it was simply a faulty sd card

Hey, I have eclipse installed and in doing so it automatically switched my sd card location. Internal is now external, and external is now internal. under settings I have selected install apps to internal sd card, which now means they are installing to my external card correct? Also when I got into settings to manage applications it shows hardly anything installed to the external card but that's because its.flipped right? Im just a little confused cuz if I ever want to sbf again I want to make sure they are installed to the real external card so I don't lose anything. So theoretically I should not use the option under settings to "move app to external card" because I would be moving it to the internal? Is there any other way to see if they are installed on my real external card? For example plugging in to a computer via usb and being able to see what's there?
Thanks in advance for any help.
one way to check is power off, remove sd card, reboot
if app still works its not on sd card

After doing the official ICS update, my Note will not recognize my sd card. When I go into settings --->storage under the SD card section under Mount SD card it says "Insert SD card" and this is all greyed out, even though my sd card is inserted. I had no problems with the sd card when using GB. Does anyone know how I can correct this?
Best thing to do is format the card but copy all your stuff to your computer then place them back on your card...yea I know it take alot of time doing but it will fix your problem.

Anyone have any issues with your SD card from your previous device not showing the files that are on it?
I know they are there because the card says 3 gigs free of 14....came from my Fascinate.

It could be formatting issues with the Sd card. Also sometimes Sd cards won't work going from one device to the other. Try transferring/backing up your files from the Sd card to your computer than reformat the Sd card, transfer you're backed up files to the freshly formatted Sd card. Finally put the Sd card back into your phone and you should be able to access your files.

and when you reformat the sd card(after saving to pc 1st), format to fat32 w/ active partition manager. not sure if youre rooted yet but this helps w/ cwm recovery. the exfat file system from windows and format sdcard feature w/ the phone gave me trouble.

i have a 16gb sd card in and am running MeanRom 6.0, the problem i ham having is whenever i go into apps and try to move to sd, there is no option on doing so.
You can use titanium backup or android assistant.
Maybe the app you trying to move is not app2sd compatible try moving a different app like Netflix or Pandora. See if its work

If you use Titanium backup theirs two different places you can put your app in and that's internal memory and SD card. I believe what he's trying to ask is, can he put the app in the Ext SD card.
Theirs three memory places are phone has, Internal, SD card or Ext card. TBU only shows internal or SD card to save them in, not Ext SD card.
