Hi,
My Atrix is from Singapore and I need to flash it back to stock (to "try" and send it in for repair). I did a search and I could only find files related to AT&T.
Should I do a SBF flash or fruitcake via CWM?
Can anyone tell me where I can look for the links which I can use?
Thanks!

If you're phone has an unlocked bootloader, you can flash fruitcake via CWM. But I've yet to see a Southeast Asia fruitcake.
But if you're with a locked bootloader, you can just flash SBF. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18308051&postcount=168

Thanks for your response.
Mine is unlocked, but I can't find any international fruit cake. Do you know if there is any issues with me using the AT&T fruit cake?
Btw, the SBF download link in the above link no longer works =)
You may face bricking your phone..
Somewhere in Hardwarezone.sg ATRIX forum should have. I remember getting my SBF from there when I bricked my ATRIX. Many Singaporean atrix owners have discussed and requested for fruitcakes and sbfs. But that single thread has like 63 pages.. so..

Someone tried flashing the sbf and got a soft brick.
I think less than 10 people are using Moto phones in Singapore. The forum is as good as dead.

what would be the correct process for this procedure? I'd prefer to do motorola's official release, but I really just don't know what the method I should follow is.

Which should I flash, the Dev section is a swamp of wtf to me right now, and should I flash it with RSD Lite?
the Dev section is a swamp of wtf to me right now
lol... well said... lol
I did this last night myself.
HOW TO FLASH A SBF:
The Motorola Atrix 4G SBF Thread. This is your fall back, you flash this if you screwed yourself, wanna go back to stock, or you just wanna try it out. Make sure you pick the right sbf file too, don’t go flashing a Latin America sbf on a US AT&T Atrix. Currently there are 3 U.S. Motorola sbf files you should be concerned about: 1.2.6, 1.5.7 and 1.8.3 (w/ 2.3.3 coming soon!)
Motorola Atrix Firmware Super Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1125944
Here are instructions for flashing a sbf file to your device. These particular instructions were for 1.2.6 sbf, but also apply to all other .sbf files. Ready carefully & make sure you have all the prerequisite files, programs, drivers, etc:

Were you on gingerblur? And which one did you flash? I want unlocked Gingerbread
Since there was a lack of help, I put on my big boy pants and tried it, and it worked perfectly.
Was on Gingerblur 4.5, i unlocked with kennethpenn's method
http://briefmobile.com/how-to-unlock-the-atrix-4g-bootloader
and then flashed this sbf using rsd lite:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182526
I was in a similar situation.... I flashed straight from locked bootloader stock 1.83 to gingerbread + pudding sbf. I have not unlocked bootloader from there because I have no reason too.
So for anyone with a similar question, you DO NOT need to unlock your bootloader before flashing the gingerbread + pudding SBF! Just flash that and you get gingerbread, plus the ability to unlock in the future.
Is there a way to remove the text that says unlocked when you boot.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
The Pudding thread talks about if 1.8.3 is flashed after pudding then the "reboot" text will no longer appear. However, be very careful with this because many have bricked their phone by flashing 1.8.3 over a GB build. See the sticky threads in the developer forum.

if you have never updated to GB OTA then use the link that i gave you...and flash 1.2.6..
I have flashed 1.2.6 then rooted, unlocked bootloader, flashed CWM..flashed three different GB ROMs...didn't like it..then I flashed 1.2.6 again using RSD..as long as you have never upgraded to GB via OTA..i think you should be fine...
any solution for those that are running GB OTA?
You can probably flash the 4.5.91 SBF. My understanding is that you just can still flash GB just not Froyo. Hunt around. I think there are other threads about this.

I'v searched around quite a bit, but still couldnt find the answer. I did originaly do the GB OTA. I am currently unlocked running CM7 Beta. My stupid LED flash burnt out again (SECOND FREAKING PHONE) so now i need to take it back within my 30 day's.I would just fix it my self but their are no parts out their for the flash. Im not worried about them going throught the phone logs to see if im unlocked. I just need to hide the text long enough to get past their cursory inspection. From what i have read, it is safe to to do 4.5.91 SBF flash just cannot go lower than that. Just want to make 100% sure before i go along this path.

Flashing the 4.5.91 SBF is as safe as anything (with normal flashing caveats) and will remove the "unlocked" text from the BL. However, there is a register that can be queried that will show that the bootloader has been unlocked.
If you flash the 1.8.3 SBF you will brick yerself.
You can't "relock" the bootloader.
Source: personal experience (I did the 4.5.91 flash yesterday)
It did work, thank you guys so much.

What worked? Flashing with a GB SBF?
which SBF did you use?
Did you get rid of "unlocked" text?
How did you get rid of the 'unlocked' text?, where did you find the official 4.5.91 sbf ?
I want to get rid of mine because I am retentive (is all)!
Do you think we can flash Tenfar/ROMRacer recovery after we are rid of that bane of "unlocked" enunciation?
Do you think we can install the CM7 ?

you can flash a GINGERBREAD SBF file with RSD lite, but it will revert you back to complete stock.
you will lose the ability to install a custom recovery, and lose the ability to install custom ROMs.
if i flash a stock 2.34.91 sbf? i know cant relock it but does flashing stock 2.34 sbf take away the unlocked at bootup? and is it safe to use the stock 2.34 sbf? thanks

I posted in another thread, but I'll put it here for others, too.
Flashing the 4.5.91 SBF will remove the "unlocked" text. It doesn't re-lock the BL.
I know this because I did it.

Thanks, this worked for, I was running Fruitcakes 2.3.6, went back to 2.3.4 fruitcake and flashed 4.5.91 SBF. Also had ROMRacer's CWR installed.
Unlocking a stock USCC Electrify tonight using Pudding.
Plan on installing CWM or TWRP (after doing more research or heeding advice).
Not many ROMs say Electrify compatibility is included. Is anyone having any luck flashing these to their Electrify? Is there a universal conversion zip a la the ones used in the D2/DX days?

it's the same phone minus 4g. everything is compatible with one another. no mods needed. just flash away.
be sure to flash this for eri/roaming fix. it's recommended.

you can also check out my site below for some electrify info.
good luck on unlocking. not many people have an electrify that they can unlock.

Thanks for the tips, this is exactly what I figured!
I'm not to nervous about the unlocking process, and I know the device I'll be working with this evening is a completely bone stock 2.3.5 USCC device which appears (from my limited reading) to have the best of chances. Any further tips I should know before this? I'm no novice, so feel free to talk as high level as you want.
And your site looks extremely helpful. I'll read through it in it's entirety by the time I attempt the procedure tonight. Thanks for the heads up!

well 2.3.4 is fully unlockable. 2.3.5 is only unlockable if you have a device that was shipped with 2.3.5. if it was updated or flashed to it you will not be able to unlock it. it's basically permanently locked. no way around it.
good luck!

Wait, 2.3.5 is unlockable if the phone came with it? Has this always been the case? Did I miss a memo?

this has always been the case for the electrify. not the photon.
i don't know what took so long for the photon users to get 2.3.5 but the electrify has had it since nov/dec.

If the electrify is shipped with 2.3.5. Its sv1 so you can unlock it. But if it was updated via ota to 2.3.5. Then its sv2 and unlockable.

Is there a quick way to check the SV level? I assume it might tell me in the bootloader itself?
And thanks for the tips and help again to everyone, very helpful.

IIRC, it will error out, harming nothing, if it can't be unlocked. That's what it says in the instructions I received, though.
My Electrify was shipped with 2.3.5, and I'm running Jelly Bean now. I've flashed more ROMs than I can count in the last week alone.
As for the boot loaders (recoveries), CWM-Recovery that comes with the Electrify.zip unlock pack is the same as Joker's v3, and is your standard text-based, no-touch recovery. You navigate with volume and Power is your Enter. TWRP is all-touch, nice as hell. Both should work for you. TWRP is just nicer looking.
Hi everyone, I'm a noob
My friend gave me a ATT Atrix 4G, it's unlocked and using a CM7 ROM .
Now I want to return to stock, but I don't know which SBF did my friend used and he forgot too, we also haven't any nandroid backup.
So I want to know:
If I flash a earlier version sbf and my phone brick, can I flash a newer version sbf to unbrick it?
If I flash a newer version sbf will my phone brick?
Will the bootloader relock after flash a sbf ? IF it will can I unlock on 2.3.6(4.5.141)?
Sorry for my terrible English and thanks for your help.

Flash a fruitcake, much safer. Plus, there is the most current stock based fruitcake available.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
First you have to ask yourself what YOU want. Can you live with an unlocked phone or do you need to have it locked, running stock Rom?
Returning to the locked state is always risky and you run a very high risk of bricking your phone.
Fruitcake may be the best option for you.
