I did manage to root the phone. And now i am using SlimICS. Thanks for help.
Care to share how you managed to root your device?
I did a search here. And i found the right CF-ROOT for my device. I used ODIN to ROOT the device. Then i used the CWM to install SlimICS rom. I dont know how to explain more. But if you search in the forum you will find almost any answer. I hope it helped.

First thing search for cf-root for your device. On the cf-root page you will understand how to identify the correct file for you. Download the file. Use odin following details about how to use it. Get your phone in download state. Volume down+power button+home button. Odin will detect your phone. After cf-root its time to install a custom rom. I use slimics look at the forum for it and the way to install it on your phone. I hope this helped you.

Several methods, but if no success, then you are apparently doing something wrong. What methods, and what are you doing, exactly? Easiest method to root is to flash a CF-Root kernel. From what it looks like, you'll need the KJ3 CF-Root kernel.

You can update to ICS any time you want, and you probably should do this first before rooting, unless you want to root twice. (root once for GB, then update to ICS, then root ICS - because you will lose root once you update to ICS anyways)
Looks like you are new here, and have some reading/learning to do to figure some things out.
Start here for stickies with a wealth of information.
Really, there are no short-cuts. Short-cuts lead to missed steps. Missed steps lead to bricked phones.
As ctomgee said. Describe what you have done
Hi ! Thanks for you answers. yes Im beginner and new on the forum
Ive downloaded a BUKJ3 kernel and install it with the odin and s2root method but apparently the kernel was secured so nothing done :s Ive tried too to root it with the CMW.zip in the the sdcard and to start in recovery mode always nothing.
Ive found a method using SuperOneClickv1.9.5 but haven't tried cuz Im not sure its safe.

Im just confused about some details and Im afraid to done something wrongly.
the problem is that I cant find a similar kernel of my fone. can i use any other one ?
are you willing to Root first? and searching a CF-root for that?
then pick it up : http://download.chainfire.eu/52/CF-Root/SGS2/CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_KJ3-v5.0-CWM5.zip
Ive downloaded it and puted it in sdcard and lunched it from recovery mode but : verification failed. have I to unzip it before copying in fone memory ?
If you can show me how to update it to ICS and root it after it would be so nice.
Thanks for your help.

Have you ever used ODIN? if not please learn it first,
the file I sent was for ODIN flash, because your phone is not rooted yet to flash zip from recovery, you have to unzip it to get a TAR file and to put in PDA section of the ODIN.

Odin flashes are in download mode, not recovery. You have a lot more reading to do.
You have the kernel needed from the link posted previously.
1. Unzip the kernel and keep the tar file.
2. Set your phone in download mode by pressing vol down + power button.
3. Run odin and connect your phone to the PC while in download mode.
4. once odin sees your phone, click PDA and link to the tar file
5. Press the magic button and that should do it really.
Here is the link that says it all:

Hope that helps...

I have a mac and if some one would please care to explain (step-by-step is much appreciated)..i attach the present status of the I777...
Thanks....
Senior members will probably scream SEARCH at you 'til blue in the face, so I'll throw you a bone since I've been stalking for far too long.
This (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878686) is a guide to Heimdall (basically Odin for Mac) find a kernal to flash (I started with Siyah http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19650906&postcount=1) and follow the Heimdall guide to flash to your GS2. Next you can download any ICS Rom (I've been using ShoStock2 since version 1.1) to your phone and flash the zip using CWM (there are a plethora of guides on this should you need it, so search.)
Check out my thread, no need for a computer to flash the update
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722064
I would suggest you follow the guide linked in my signature. It has instructions for using heimdall with the mac.
Do *not* install Siyah 3.4 on your phone if you are running Gingerbread stock or modified firmware. You can not use an ICS kernel with a Gingerbread system.
If you have any questions or problems as you work through the guide, feel free to post your questions in that thread.
Edit: if you already have ClockworkMod Recovery on the phone, then you can just download the firmware distribution you want and flash it in recovery.

I want everything gone also the root(supersu, cwm manager also the aptoide and stuff like that. Basically so the warranty is intact again.
the method shown is it good and is it compatible with the way i have rooted? Galaxys3root
since my phone is branded to 3 network in uk can i install unbranded firmware so the 3 start up sign goes away or shall i stick to same firmware.
Appreciate the help the people give on here. Thanx alot

What do you mean with 'root file'? If you search for guides, for example here on xda, you can just follow the steps.
Please don't ask for the best way to root your phone or something like that...

To flash via Odin? Or CWM / TWRP?

You can flash a custom kernel with Odin (or even find other methods). If you search and read a bit, I think it shouldn't be that hard to figure out which ones and where you can find them. No offence, but this has been covered for so many times by now, so the answers are already out here.
To the person above me: I think his phone isn't rooted yet

Hello,
I am currently using the Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300. Bought this device last April. At that time I was completely new to rooting device. I didn't know what to do. I searched online about rooting device, read many post by users in various blogs and threads here in XDA. Then I was very curious to root my device. But even then, though i knew what rooting was and its merits and demerits, i had no idea how to root my device. So I started searching again for an easy and fast way to root my device. Then I came me across the framaroot thread here and thanks to the developer of Framaroot, I was able to root my android safely without any problems. It was a very useful app for beginners who had no idea about rooting.
After few months, I received a firmware update. I had no idea what changes it would bring about in my device. In a hope to find out the new features, I updated the firmware. But sadly, there wasn't any noticeable change. So once again I seeked the help of framaroot to root my device. I was left with an error message and didn't know what to do. Again by searching on Google, I came to know about the OTA update about which I had no idea prior to the firmware update. I realized that the OTA update was a curse to Android rooting and I was left with my boring stock rom without anything. Today again I searched all over the Internet for a very safe and easy method to root my device but couldn't find anything like the framaroot. So here I am kindly requesting, the deveopers to kindly update the already existing methodsor make a new easy method to root android devices so that people new to android can experiment and enjoy root features. Sorry for the long story, thought it might be useful by explaining everything in detail. Hope I have not violated any of the XDA rules. If I did, I apologise for that too but please don't remove this thread. It would be very nice if anyone can find a solution as there are many people in the same situation as I am right now.
Thanking XDA and all the developers for there services.

1- Its the fastest and most reliable method I femilliar with- just follow the vid orders step by step (according to your device model), and no harm
should be made (unless you plug out your device in the middle of the process, or using a different model type- but even those can be resolved).
2- No apps that I know. Although i would not recommend it even if I found one- just seems too riksy than using the computer...
Basically all the OP questions are answered in the faqs and guides .
Root is constantly updated as and when possible but its not a simple question of just making a new one . Read the relevant root threads .
