Need help and explanation..
I have Galaxy S II 2.3.4 XXKG3 I9100XXKG3 Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100XXKG3-CL401405 [email protected]#2
I use 3G INTERNET from the mobile device and i can surf any site. orange/israel.
When I use my galaxy as a Hot spot for a laptop (with wi-fi tethering) , the laptop connects to the device (SGS 2) .
From the laptop I can surf only Israeli sites, or more likely sites which hosts in Israel ( this is my opinion) I can surf to sites at domains .co.il and even some israeli sites with .com . But I can't surf (from my laptop) to sites outside (Israel) like facebook.com , google.com etc.. ( also net , org , ru if they are placed outside israel ..)
the Browser page just in "loading state" all the time . No errors, like page cannot be displayed. It's like stuck some there...

May be the problem is in PHONE (modem) module ? I have XXK3 modem. Who knows , if i change this modem to other, could it help ?

I am living in Israel and got the SC-02 (a friend brought me from Japan).
I put on the phone the operating system ICS (Open Europe - the offial version).
I notice that i got no GPS working , and i got some cellular reception problems (some times delay in calls, calls are cut in the middle and sometimes no reception at all).
From what i have read in this forum i understand that the SC-02 got different hardware and memory from the Eruropian version.
Does anyone knows where can i find an official ICS sutiable for my phone including instructions ?
I found some unofficial guids, for Cyanomode + SC-02 kerenels , but the instructions seems very complicated and unclear...(i didnt root my cell phone).
If this is the only choice that i have got.. does anyone know of a good instructions link (or can tell here in simple words what have to be done ?)
I will relly appreciate any help ...please..

I too have been gifted with a SC-02c in Israel.
My first recommendation is that you try and give it back. You REALLY REALLY want the international version which is the version used in Israel. Failing that cry a little after you have finished with that.
1) You can actually burn the local versions of the firmware but you need to preserve the
- Kernel of the SC-02c
- Modem of the Sc-02c
If you do that everything will work fine minus the FM radio and NFC

2) Don't break the screen as you will not be able to easily replace the screen in Israel as the chassis of the SC-02c and the international version are not the same.

Shell i do it with Udin ? where can i find the correct kernnel and modem version for
the SC-02C (does it suit with ICS ?) ? I Cant see the link you put here ..

See instructions at the website I gave you. I had to change the "." and "\" as this forum won't allow me past links at the moment.
It explains how to burn "kernel & modem" and using heimdall
You can use the Kernel from Siyah which will give you root access and other neat features. If you want to use the "original" kernel & modem you need to find the ICS version of sc-02c at website

but I wouldn't bother just use the version from Siyah.

After aloog try i cusseded in flashig the ICS official ROM (from sammobile the V. from 16 June). I needed to configure again the partitions (Via original SC-02C PIT file) , after that i turn into old android version (2.3.6) and after that the ICS.
For now everthig is working fine exept from the GPS..
I use :

While i am doing reset (boot) for my cell l see the Samsung i9100 icon in the first screen , any idea way ?
Any idea what is the problem with the GPS ?

Thats It guys !!
I download the "GPS Status" application . I did --> tools-->Manage A-GPS state
Reset , and afterwards --> Download (to get GPS assistance from network).
Now the GPS is working , and everything is fix (with the official ICS ).

First of all i have a Galaxy s2 with MIUI rom on an o2 network with 1gb data monthly. here's my problem whenever i switch the tethering on or the wifi hotspot my laptop and my new ipad connects to it but as soon as i get on the internet browser it says theres no internet connection? is this a problem with my network (o2) or with the custom rom (miui) that i've installed on my phone? i can browse internet on my phone with no problem using the internet data from my network but it wont let me tether

after reflashing to stock rom, wifi hotspot is back but as soon as i changed to siyah kernel 3.5.2, tethering is not working again
how do i restore the stock kernel from this firmware? i cant find it anywhere. or how do i flash just the kernel? so far i've tried several kernels, siyah, dark knight and even the latest stock ics kernel from 4.0.4 firmware but none allowed me to use tethering or wifi hotspot

i manage to extract the z image from the stock rom where the tethering is working. my problem now is how do i flash this kernel or how do i convert it to a tar file, i tried flashing it through cwm but for some reason it wont it says i have to report it to rom manager for support.
anyone please? i wouldnt be asking if i found it on google
hi guys i just updated my galaxy s3 from ICS to JB today but now i am unable to connect to the internet correctly (i am using the 2G net (it do show that "E" sign) . My guess is that i bought my phone from UAE and now i am in India ,might be modem problem . any fix
It could be a modem problem

I’m using a custom rom from here based on XXEMH1 (4.1.2) (Pardus HD Rom 4.1.2 FINAL).
Odd as it may sound but I rarely use 3G for internet use.
I’ve discovered that it is not connecting and under the phone status it states: Roaming = not roaming, Mobile network state = disconnected.
However, roaming is on and the APN settings are correct for T-Mobile UK.
I was going restore the phone to a stock ROM but I am beginning to think it could be caused by a CSC / modem issue?
I apologise in advance if this has been posted and my old brain can’t find a link
I’ve search the forum and I have found a link to downloadable CSC’s for odin (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198512)
But the link is dead to the CSC files is dead?
IMEI is correct, phone is connecting to the T-Mobile / EE network and there are no other issues.
If anyone has a solution before returning to stock ROM I would appreciate it.

First thing is to return to full stock with CSC and modem for the UK, too many variables else.
