I am woundering if anyone can help me,i have searched for hours and have found nothing.
On my Galaxy S2 with stock ICS rom XWLP8 I changed the lockscreen to the stock ICS lockscreen, from the samsung round ring.
Its all great except,
I can't change the date format.
at the moment it is showing the date before day, for example 5 may,Sat.
I want to edit it so it is correct for my country and show the day before date.
Can anyone help me with this please,it is driving me nuts.

Don't worry, I won't, because it doesn't fix the problem.
I've got the same thing on XWLP7. My date and time is set to DD/MM/YYYY and the lockscreen is telling me that today is 5 May, Sat.
thats correct,no matter what i do in settings,it changes nothing on the lockscreen.

i can't see diacritics, ligatures and other funny letters (e.g. à â ç etc), so i've got problems when reading french, german and other languages' texts which have such letters.
what should i do, which fonts i need to install, and how to install?
anybody?
theres an app on market called "fontomizer sp" its ok , simply download choose ur fonts and wait for em to down load then install them via clcking them in ur downloads and yh then go settings/display/screen.display/font.style! good luck dunno if itll have exactly what u want but hey different fonts! theres a few cool ones
i'll post screen with text so it will be clear
here's a random text (i dunno what does it mean, please don't comment it, it is just an example).
first screen captured from my PC (as you can it is ok), the next one is from my sgs2
downloaded fontomizer and tried tahoma and verdana, didn't help
Try changing the encoding mode in Internet Browser > More > Settings > Text encoding . Try auto-detect !
didn't work, rebooted device also. are you guys having the same problem or no ?

I think There is no connection in fonts and booting
flashed new XXKG6 and fonts are OK now.
Does anyone have the problem with the latest ICS passion rom that your ringtones dont save when you reboot? I have to set them each time I reboot my phone.
Anyone know of this or how to fix it?
Thanks so much,
Rob
I am unable to replicate your problem. I've set my settings under "Sound/ ringtone & Notifications" and reboot and they still have the same settings and ringtones.
Otherwise the only way that I believe your settings change is if you recently upgraded or that you have a bad flash. Maybe reflashing will fix this.

I'm going to assume you are using a custom ringtone. It seems to be a cm9 thing. ICS Passion is based on cm9. there are other settings that don't stick too like adb debugging etc.
No problems here. I had to reset them after flashing the new kernel, but that was about it.
I can choose my Ringtone but the settings are note saved
Same for me I`m on 1.3 ICSNexusHD2-4.0.3
I can choose my Ringtone but the settings are note saved.
only the standardringtone I choose (f.e. my own ringtone) is saved
I mark an original ringtone and tap ok, after reopen the settings the ton wasn`t saved !
Any helpfull solutions ??

Hola,
I have recently noticed that each time I reboot my Note I717 the previously selected ringtone and notification sounds revert to the factory default. When I enter Settings -> Sounds I see the active selection reads "Unknown Ringtone." I go to the list of those ringtones/notifications available to check why and I find that the name of the downloaded ringtone/notification file has been replicated. Of the multiple files only the bottom-most on the list will actually play the file. Right now I have four entries for yy downloaded ringtone; three do nothing, but the last on the list selects the correct file. The same is true for the notification sound file.
Admittedly, this is not a big deal, but is annoying the hell out of me. Has anyone else encountered this situation? Is there an obvious solution of which I am unaware? Anyone care to venture a guess?
BTW, my Note is rooted, but is AT&T stock all the way, Version 4.0.4, BB UCLF6, Kernel 3.0.8.
Further info: I first loaded the ringtone/notification files on the SD Card, but recently moved the file to the internal memory. That change had no effect on the situation.
Regards,
Bubba
SAME HERE!
Have the exact same problem with my Infuse since I upgraded to ICS...Will get back to you if I finally find an answer!

Something similar happens with mine. When swapping batteries out it exhibits this. If i just reboot using the toggle it doesn't happen. Also, it only happens with custom ringtones. If i use stock ringtones i have no problems.
I have tried what the post above mine suggests but problem returns as soon as i swap batteries again.
Thanks. This worked. Haven't tried swapping batteries yet.

That worked - at first. After the reboot, the default ringtone was listed as "ATT Play-on" and the notification was "sherbet". However, when I tried to change the ringtone to one I had created, it went back to being an unknown ringtone. The phone is the I777 and the OS is ICS, both from ATT. The ringtone is a 29 second MP3 file I created.
I did go back and try the reboot sequence again after the first attempt and it did clear it back to the default ringtone/notification, but as soon as I changed either, it was listed as unknown again. Is there a special format for ringtones?
Thanks!
Hi Guys,
I have a slight issue, running mostly stock rooted JB rom. Problem is when I try to delete a shortcut icon from the System Settings->Lock Screen->Lock Screen Options->Set Shortcuts on Lockscreen. It simply hangs for a while and does not delete the shortcut. Now I have a set of junk shortcuts which I cannot delete. I believe this is a default bug, as one can't delete home-screens either in TouchWiz.
Does anyone know where these shortcuts are stored in the system files so that I can edit/delete them manually.
Thanks a million for any reply.
For those who struggle with the same problem, a simple double tap allows you to switch the shortcut with a new one. This applies if you are also stuck with the icons that wont delete.

I did few FULL wipe to go on Omega rom, Vicking rom or CheckROM: always same result... I'm pissed -__-
Does anyone know which file do I have to edit to remove one of these useless shortcuts/icons pls? I don't wanna change/replace it. Just remove the one I don't want.
Thank you for reading
Hi All
The following shortcut icons on the lockscreen are the 4.1.2 defaults and the 4.3 rom I updated to have doesn't have the option to change it. Does anyone know where or how I can do it?
See attached screenshots. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, I re-installed the rom, but had the same issue. Tried a different 4.3 rom and the shortcuts option showed up.
I9300XXUGMJ9_I9300VFGGMJ5_VDI - No shortcut option
I9300XXUGMJ9_I9300OXAGMJ9_BTU - Shortcut option enabled
Just a heads up if anyone else tries.

I've noticed the same problems on the I9305 versions of 4.3, no Shortcut option.
I'm hoping it may be a matter of CSC values if the VDI failed and BTU worked.
If possible, could someone provide me with both CSC files (no need for apk's in it just the xml files) and I may be able to come up with a solution hopefully.
