Hi guys! So today I found this Xperia S phonebook and dialer for Gingerbread. Test it on my locked, 2.3.4 .42 rooted Play and it worked! So I think it should work on Arc too! Remember to make a backup first in case things go wrong.

can you explain me how to install this mod. I dont know how to set the permissions or if I need to install from an apk like root explorer or from PC.

Copy everything to /system using root explorer, change the permission to this:
[-][-][]
[-][][]
[-][][]
Then only copy into /system/apps

Saw it in Play thread yesterday and tried it also. Btw it is not the Xperia S dialer app, in play thread it was titled as ICS dialer app for GB.
The only problem is once you open up contacts then it will alwz consume 26-35 MB of RAM in running services, which is quite annoying.

Yeah I agree with that. And it will run in background automatically. Wonder if there is a fix for this.

This really what I have wanted.
But it doesn't work on my Xperia X10i unfortunately.
Phone and contacts doesn't respond.

X10's gallery is a cool 3D photo/image viewer, and I think it's worth a try. It works on the X8, although pressing the camera button will cause the app to crash. If I'm not mistaken, root is not required. I'll post the file here later if you wish to try it.. In the meantime, here's some pics.

You can't get mediascape on other phones apparently there are several checks which ensures it works only on x10..

U have this problem i think because your x8 has the old market(i mean that really old one)u need to update it but sometimes the market just doesnt want to update himself

what more if you'd be called a copycat because you only posted your app on an existing thread and not on a new thread

I don't know if you can find the exact stock launcher, but for sure you should check Tweaked Xperia S Home Launcher.
Choose the "Corners" version and you will have the same functionality (if not better) as the stock launcher.

He's says he's looking for the Google-launcher, not the Sony Ericsson one, but why he'd want that is beyond me... I found the stock android launcher on Gingerbread already severely limited, can't imagine an older one being more functional.

and set the permissions as shown in the figure.
PS may not work android 2.2-2.3-4.0 etc ...
