Running the latest ICS Leaks, one thing I noticed you can't tweak any of the power saver settings, did some search and found out that this How To for the One X also works for our ICS 3.6 Sense Roms.

Big thanks to Myn!!! We now have an App to access these features!

My guess is Rom Devs will be able to cook into the settings eventually as well!
Title says it all I stumbled upon this by mistake when i was trying to link a battery widget to the usage stats screen in the settings ui and thought it was this :S Here's a screenie

Because of all the sections avail, this seemed the most relevant, I'd like to see this option available either via a button under power settings, or in RCMIX/Leedroid tweaks.
If it's in the wrong spot Mods feel free to move.
Thanks for sharing this.
Should be a super easy mod adding this hidden intent to the existing Settings
Would make it way more accessible.
Very nice find, since there's no option in Settings for power saver

This is good information guys, regardless of which section it should be in. If it were in general, it would just be buried within nonsense threads entitled "cool story bro" or "I just wiped my ass with my 3d", etc. etc.....

Why even take the time? 90% of the posts in this thread are in response to your unnecessary and irrelevant question. At least you won't go hungry, cause apparently the troll has been well fed... It's in the development section because guess where all the work on the new ICS roms is going on (Including how to access all the settings and what not that folks would want to get to)...? That's right! The development section. He also included some info for how developers can get these settings to show up without any extra trickery, thereby HELPING development... In summation, enjoy the meal you've had in this thread and get back under your bridge... If you want to avoid being roasted like this in the future, do as others have suggested. Don't just post "Why is this in development?", provide some suggestions for alternatives. Unless you just can't think of any in which case, it's probably in the right section anyway... Here's hoping your bridge is clean and dry underneath ^_^

So why is this in development? I still don't get get it. It should be in themes and apps or general. No modding was done here.

- Tap&Hold to move widgets.
VIDEO
HowTo...
- To add more pages in the Light3D theme (the default one) drag a widget to the bottom or to the right outside the screen bounds. A new page will be created and you can access it by sliding the finger in a blank space. Watch the video for an example.
- TO MOVE WIDGETS: Tap&Hold over the widget and move it. Do all of that without releasing the finger.
Widgets
You should all check the widgets at the themes section of my web HERE
Check specially the last ryomahinos ones... they rule!!!

Mmmm.... please try the following:
- Open throttleconfig (StartMenu > programs > ThrottleConfig).
- Ensure Light3D is selected in the dropdown box.
- Click reload plugin and OK.
- Wait some secconds..
If this does not help, please try a softreset and repeat the procedure. If still doesn't work, please open ThrottleConfig > Settings tab and enable debug mode. Then reload the plugins. After that take the ThrottleToday.txt file and post here please .
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Let me know if this helps.

The licensing system It's my best try to prevent people posting (or even selling like happened to a_C) this SW without any reference to ThrottleLauncher web page or it's author (me) consentment. Also with this I want to reward people helping (I know helping is relative... and I cannot be everywhere to know wich one helped...). If you have any better ideas I'm definately listening to them . BTW... not having a license doesn't make the app to stop working... just displayes a little red text on the top, but continues working normally....

for me, it's okay. the only thing apbilbo asks of us to use this great app is to go to his website to renew the license monthly. this is nothing as the app is free and, for sure, he has put a lot of hard work into it. besides, it's so easy to renew and does not take much time. so, i say it's the least we can do to somehow repay him.

So,
Here's the deal:
I am a very capable java programmer, who wants to change some things about his N1. I don't care if the program I create can only be used for people who have root, (and for free).
Currently I have the N1 rooted, and am running Cyanogen's 5.0.5.2
My goal is to change the default lockscreen to include the following:
- SMS/Email display
- Upcoming Appointment
- Music control
All I need is the following:
- Where is the source code for the original located.
- Where is the apk installed that handles the current default lockscreen.
- How do I compile the source into apk so it can replace the default lockscreen.
Btw, you'll probably hear a lot more from me the coming months as I'm bringing a whole team of 'bout 20 programmers to the Android. ;-)
(We're from a university study, specialized in Artificial Intelligence. And our goal is to make (good) games.)
Any help, tips or requests would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

This is a great idea. The thing I'd like to see added to the lock screen most would be the info on the current song playing in the Android music player (Artist, Album, Track title). No more swiping the screen to get into the player - just hit the trackball or power button to activate the screen to see what you are listening to.
Anyway, I wish you success.

So I was playing around with my phone and discovered a new feature, well new atleast to me. You can rearrange the bottom tabs in the apps with sense mods like music, clock and people etc. Just press and hold one of the tab icons and you will get into the rearranging mode.
For example, I hate how the default view when u get into the music app is the artists, I press and hold any icon like the artists icon in the bottom bar and now I can move the songs list to the beginning and have it as default.
Edit: Thank me if u like my new discovery!
New discovery - on the home screen, in order to trigger the preview mode where all 7 screens show up, you can press home button again or pinch the screen.... you can also just tap the home screen with two fingers and it gets triggered
That's pretty neat thanks!
That's cool but can you make it so clicking on the clock doesn't go to world clock? That's lame.

I didnt think most people knew about this... after 3 years of using 5 different android phones, 3 of them with sense, its still exciting to find new tricks like this. I can bet you I know my phone in and out way better than u do!
I have no idea why the xda forums have become like this lately but snarky comments from people like you is a great example of how things have turned to **** around here and this is why many helpful people and devs are leaving.
Wow, that is pretty neat.
It's this exact thing I'm talking about that will keep me far away from AOSP. HTC Sense has small things about it that make the user experience so far above other UIs.

PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT. This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.
PER-APP-COLOR, Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Sorry clearly missunderstand that. I thought original section is whatever gets something built from scratch, as my OTA app does. However, thanks for the correction
EDIT: 21 may 2012... we got moved to original section
EDIT: 22 may 2012... zombies all over the world.

500mb is more than enough. That will allow me even to OTA the whole rom, and kernel. I would really appreciate that.

Purpose of the ROM
I want this ROM to be as light weight as possible so users have the free memory and RAM to do what they like. I want them to have the choice to be able to customize it as heavy as they want.
Credits
- Con247. He made a recovery so you guys can flash stuff. Without him, this ROM would be useless
- 2 of my testers, *MadMoose* and blazingwolf. This would've never been possible if they didn't test it for me. Thanks guys.
- *MadMoose* for the screenshots and finding more crap to remove!
- chrispaw for his list of apps that can be removed from the Amaze.
- nitsuj17. For his APM mod
- Chainfire for his SuperSU
- HTC for making the phone
- Google for making Android
How to Install
- Unlock your bootloader and flash a recovery using my toolkit here.
- Download SuperWipe from here.
- Place the ROM and SuperWipe on your memory card.
- Make a backup just in case anything happens in the future
- Boot into Recovery and flash SuperWipe.
- Flash the ROM.
- Reboot phone

FAQs
Q - Why did you make this?
A - To allow users to customize it the way they want
Q - Will this work on other devices?
A - If you had to ask, please do not attempt to mod your phone.
Q - Why'd you name it QX?
A - I'm not a creative person. I named it after the QX series by Infiniti. I have a QX4 =D
Q - Awesome! Can I make a donation?
A - Of course! Do not feel obligated though. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the button in my signature or under my username.
It was running so fast it blew up my phone today. Kidding of course. Thanks for the opportunity to test this lean thing. It installs so damn fast!

Lol no by all means if you would like to get down then go for it. :silly::silly:
I can't wait to get on board with this ROM. The only thing that has stopped me from rooting and flashing is the stupid screen discoloration issue. Hopefully when I exchange my phone in the next few weeks, the batch in stock at Best Buy won't be affected by this issue. (That, and I'm in the middle of moving. Ugh. Gets in the way of the fun stuff.) Senseless is the next best thing to AOSP, imho. I'm very, very excited. Thanks in advance, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this.
Here is a OP banner. Hope you like it.

Can't wait to get my phone so I can try this out... patience.... lol
Maybe I'm missing something so please forgive me if this sounds silly.
I just installed QX, ran through the super wipe before flashing it. So far the biggest issue I've run into (after only 5 minutes) is in the play store there's no context menu button in the top right corner. I've tried long pressing the recent button, but matter how long i hold it it just brings up recent apps. So i have no way to access "My Apps" which kind of defeats the purpose of the playstore if you ask me.
I checked the version and it's the newest, 3.7.13, which means it's updated for ICS and should have the button on screen right?
Void4ever
The original post (see post #3) says it's not in there yet. He needs to obtain permission first. Flash the mod here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1758752
No i understand the button remap isn't included yet (i just tried it for kicks). But that doesn't change the fact that the play store is missing the context menu to access things like My Apps and Settings. That has nothing to do with a button remap does it? Obviously the playstore is updated for ICS so shouldn't there be a button in the top right corner next to the search magnifying glass with My Apps, Accounts, Settings, and Help.
Void4ever
When you run the button remap it removes that from the upper right corner. If you ran the remapUNDO and it didn't put it back in, you may want to hit up Con247 on that one.
