4g failure

did everybody just give up on making vibrant 4g roms?
Since when was everyone working on them? Last I knew, Krylon360 and tw were really working on one. The other den teams went to i9k roms.

The point of using the vibrant 4g was to port 2.2.1 to our devices, now that this has been done there is no further need for development from the 4g we have our own 2.2.1 kernel built by our devs here and this allows us to flash new 2.2.1 roms as well as other 2.2.1 roms from the Galaxy S I9000
Hardly a failure if you ask me.

Changing phone... please reccomend something.

Hello everyone, so to start off i have a one question:
1)how much is a used ( perfect condition ) xperia x10 worth? ( with all accesories )
and what phone would you reccomend for me, between the price range of selling me my x10 and extra +60Euros?
I'm thinking of ''Meizu M9'', ''Samsung Galaxy S'', ''Htc Inspire'' and ''HTC Desire S''.
what would you reccomend me?
Oh and before i forget, how do i know if my phone is locked or not? ( i have a x10i )
Thanks!
I would suggest one of the dual cored phones with 4g. I have heard they are super fast. The atrix, Samsung galaxy 2 or the T-Mobile g2x

yes, but they're twice as expensive as the x10!
nvm, already found, what i was looking for http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9003_galaxy_sl-3761.php
Yea, the SGS i9000 is pretty good.
My mom has one and it is already so quick and responsive even on the stock rom =D
Not to mention that the screen is awesome as well.
Apart from that, it is fully customizable if you are into that kind of stuff.

CM7 is in Alpha at the moment. It could be awhile for CM7, but rest assured, it's coming.
Whats so great about CM7? This is my first android phone and see people talking about it all the time.

It turned my slow Aria into a superphone. Incredible support, nightly updates, every feature you could want, very stable. It's how android should be.
I'm looking forward to some cm7 on atrix
Dorian is working on 2.3.5 rom noticed he commented on that in his rom thread
I also noticed the source code was released so hopefully the devs can get it "De-Blured". I would love to run Stock GB. I almost traded my Atrix for a Nexus S until I saw that, now I'm waiting (im)patiently.

Back when they still supported the G1, it kept my old hardware running newer os than some new android phones. Great features and nightly builds. Always up to date and best performance.
Got it on my nook color now haha. Can't wait for it on the atrix.

Port rom from galaxy s 4g?

I was wondering what it would take to port a rom from the galaxy s 4g? I was hoping since it is the 4g version of the vibrant it would fix a few issues that we have with gb roms. They got official gb update. Sadly we didn't.

You will still have all same issues of a I9000 port since we don't have a official GB vibrant kernel from samsung.

[Q] I am thinking in buying an Atrix 4G, Should i do it?

In Amazon the Unlocked International Atrix 4g are cheap! and i am thinking buy one of those... but the international version can get the us rom? for a possible update of ics? and 220$ are my budget.... so i think is the best one at that range... if you want to Recommend another android phone in that range, i will highly appreciate it, Thanks, is my first Android Phone leaving Blackberry
Don't do that, its better to buy pantech burst its selling on ebay for around 100$ brand new and will have ics soon.
You should be able to get an Atrix for around 150$ US iirc. Excellent phone, but, there's no guarantee of a fully working ICS Rom.
BUT, you can get the lapdock for around 60$, and that makes the phone/dock combo awesome value.

If you want to get stuck to Gingerbread for eternity, buy it.
If you want newer version of Android, buy from another manufacturer. :good:

I have the xperia U which is 10x smoother than my atrix (which i sold for 333$ !!!!!) and ICS rollout started today for xpu !
I just bought it and love it. Would having ICS or Jelly Bean be desirable? Yes. But 98% of the apps I would want on my phone are available for gingerbread too. If you really want ICS or JB, you can always root it and flash a custom ROM. I tried to do that, it didn't work out well for me but seems to work well for plenty of others.
There are no fully functional ICS/JB ROMs.

No! NO NO NO NO NO!
I cannot stress enough: DO NOT BUY A MOTOROLA PHONE.
Samsungs have nice unlocked bootloaders, the GSII is quite nice...
The atrix has great hardware but unfortunately Motorola aren't great with software updates but we have great devs and a decent jelly bean ROM

I just flashed a Jelly Bean ROM and am pretty satisfied with it thus far.

Yup, got mine for 2 months and flashed a JB ROM. Satisfied so far.
no
that's my third motorola phone all has touch problems.
You should never buy any motorola product, they have the worst software team, the firmware lags a lot, and you will never get updates, they promisse but they do not deliver.
