So I have two standard batteries for my Rezound and one is 3.8 and one is 3.7 Is one "better" than the other and if so why or why not?
Sent from my BAMF! Rezound via Tapatalk 2
General consensus is that the 3.7 is better. I've used both in my phone and have not noticed a difference.

My 3.8 for my Rezound gets hot on while on LTE and while tethering.

When I was on GB the 3.8 volt seemed better. It seemed to get better life. The 3.7 volt is a little better on ICS tho
Interesting will have to rotate them and see what results I get

I thought if you had a 3.8 Verizon would ship you a 3.7?
My 3.8 gave me bad battery life, heat, and that was just sitting stock in standby/sleep. So Verizon gave me a 3.7. Even my extended battery is 3.7. Phone hardly ever gets warm and charges a lot better.

Didn't know that I didn't figure there Is much of a difference between them.

I've never seen a difference in my batteries, I have 3.8s and 3.7s
I have 1 3.8 oem battery and 2 after market 3.7's.
My bro has a 3.7 and mom has 3.7 both oem.
I see the best results on my oem 3.8
We are all rooted running CleanRom. I have 4.4 they have 4.2

FWIW the 3.7 battery I've had much better luck than a 3.8v battery with. There's a bit of info buried on here that points to the same also.
The issues between those two batteries have been solved with ota's

From my experience, the on GB the 3.8 was much better but on ICS the 3.7 is better.
I have the 3.8 on ics and my battery life is amazing. Like I said the differences were fixed through the latest ics leaks. At first 3.8 didn't cooperate with ICS but now everything is fine.

yeah the 3.8 is fine in the later leaks, but i felt like the 3.7 was better, could have just been placebo tho lol
If you' guys are talking about voltage, then mathimatically & theorhetically the 3.8 one would last longer if they're the same mAh and being used under the same exact conditions.
To my experience, the 3.7 lasts longer and runs cooler. I have one of both and use both on a daily basis.

I currently have a 3.8 battery in my release day rezound. It has pretty crappy life and I was wondering, is it worth it to buy a 3.7 battery? What are your experiences if you switched?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
I've got both and I can't tell the difference between the two when using them. The only difference is the 3.7 fully charges in my battery charger, but the 3.8 only charges to like 80% just like in our early ICS days.

Take it to Verizon and have them switch it out.. they should do it no pro lem the 3.8 actually don't work right with ICS..
Something to do with the way the system reads the battery stats.

The 3.8v vs 3.7v thing doesn't matter anymore with ICS. It's been fixed for a looong time. Like I said, the only difference is with my external battery charger.
Edit: But yeah, if the battery performance is degrading see if they'll swap it out.

I use an external charger as well the one I had before was an OEM rezound charger it didn't fully charge my 3.8 either. the one I have now is actually made for digital cameras but it works great and fully charges my batteries in about two to three hours..you can find em at Wal-Mart by the sd cards and digital cameras. It's universal.. I charge about four different batteries everyday.. drill, two different phones, my daughters play phonn (old android with a broken charging port)

yep what ^^ they said. you're still under the umbrella of 1 year warranty so take it to them.
I've had 3.8 since the get-go. I've never over heated or had bad battery life with any of the firmware. I am currently S-Off, have the most current version of ICS, and am using a custom ROM.
I get approx. 13 hours with 2+ hours of display time and moderate use.
Running UKB I don;t see an improvement.
1hr 20 min @ 88% with 20 min of web browsing. (wifi)
Thats garbage.
Can we list our battery life and settings? for specific roms?
"damn u HTC u ****ed me on battery with tbolt and now the dna is slightly better.
what an insightful thread.
there's already like 3 other battery threads. go in there and read up on peoples settings rather than start your own where you just complain about it, while the rest of us are getting along fine.
DNA slightly better than the tbolt...bwahaha u gotta be on some serious drugs to say that

Slightly better, lol.
I got 2 hours screen in time if I was lucky on my tbolt. On my DNA stock I get 4-5. I can get 6+ if I turn my brightness down and turn sync off.

Not another battery thread. Seriously the battery life is fine.
Try the Optimus 4X HD (similar to optimus G) I have one and that battery life is terrible. Just turning on the screen to take a phone and I loose 3-4 % battery life

I'm used to phones with poor battery life, so bad that I have to charge at 50% or I lose my phone quick. I'm trying to train myself out of this, but it is difficult after so long. The LGOG is so much better that i don't have to charge until 15% or so to be safe. Anybody else having similar 'problems'? Used to bad batteries and panicking at 50% or so on your LGOG?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Lol. This is exactly how I would describe my relationship with my phones, both current and previous. The GS2 had abysmal battery life. I'd always get nervous if I got under 50% and knew I wouldn't be near a charger for a few hours. The iPhone 3GS I had before that wasn't any better.
The OG has been great now that I've got it set up properly. No worries now.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
IPhone 4S was similar, but the G2X and especially the OG Evo 4G were way worse.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Coming from an HTC Inspire I still have a habit of putting my phone on the charger at 30% battery life on that phone was horrible for me.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Battery life has been about the same since I started using android phones. I can't really decide which of those I have owned was noticeably worse than my OG. Nothing really stands out.
Had the HTC vivid for a little while in between my atrix and LGOG and by far worst battery ever. Carried a spare on me at all time. Glad those days are over.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda premium
My Atrix 4G had pretty scrappy battery life. Loving the battery life on the LGOG. Although it pales in comparison to the Atrix HD with the EB40 battery mod that I used to have.

My battery life has been solid with this phone actually. I'm currently running GinSix 1.5 with sk8's kernel with the Conservative governor.
How often do you guys/girls use your Power Saver mode and do you notice better battery life while using it? I often wonder if people with real good battery stats and life are using this TW implemented feature.

I always used it on my galaxy s3, then switched to the note 2 and never felt the need for it. Great feature though, it really does work but slows down your phone.

Yep, I Use it and love it!
I used if some in the beginning but not at all now.
I get a full day plus on battery for the firzt time in my Android life and I have no use for that feature on this phone.
