Mobilicity HTC Amaze 4G? - HTC Amaze 4G

Is there development for the HTC Amaze 4G, but the one from mobilicity? I am in Canada and I am thinking to buy an Amaze that will run on Mobilicity. I want to know if there are development for it. Also, if not, would these roms and these root methods work?

Hey I too have the HTC Amaze 4g from Mobilicity. I have it s-off, rooted and running the latest version of Android Revolution and so far I have run into no problems. Everything has so far been working great for me.

Same way you would any other ROM. Read the guides or Google

Yeah, but how? I heard that you have to flash a leaked ics ROM first, but seeing how that Rom is for tmobile, I want to know would it work for my mobililicity phone?

[Q] OPTUS HTC EVO 3D Rooting and Custom ROMS

Wanted to know if i can get a GSM version of the MikVirgin ROM for the HTC EVO 3D with optus
I also wanted to know how to root the device, rooted my sensation xl from the HTC website and put a custom ROM on it, is the process same for the EVO 3D?

Try to root it first before installing any custom ROM, and just use only ROM for your devices or you gonna brick it..
If you're gsm this would help you out -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17250151

ICS update for SIM free EVO

Can someone tell me when ill will get the ICS update for my EVO 3d, i bought it sim free so im not tied to a network and i cant seem to find anything on the update for me
Thanks
Pretty soon maybe. Until then, u can use custom roms based on ics. I would say custom roms are better than stock since it will be updated frequently.

[Q] AT&T HOX+

Folks,
Should we use the same forum for AT&T version of HOX. I mean for rooting and stuff like that. I just ordered mine via AT&T today. Exicted
To add a question on the same topic..
Could we run this forum like the Desire HD. It's the exactly same phone, its just the radios...right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Clearly not the same as we have some att-purchased x+ brickin Goin on in the development part of this forum
That's sad to see.
Looks like we will have to go the way of the DHD and Inspire 4G. Phones are similar but will require separate dev areas.

Almost all roms worked on the inspire from the dhd.. it was mainly with aosp that you just had to flash the inspire patch but sense roms it didn't really matter but the devs did have to add inspire 4g support which was just a couple tweaks and done
I think we need our own AT&T forum. I believe it would help with a lot of confusion and prevent bricking.

So ATT HOX+ owners should NOT attempt to flash the roms on this forum correct?

Correct.
Which is weird, because AFAIK the One X+ on AT&T just has a different radio chip.

[Q] Rooted Inspire 4G - what's next

OK, so I've rooted my Inspire 4G and all ready to go. Would like to update to the latest Android version phone will handle and looking for a good starting point. Currently at 2.3.3 as just rooted. Can I take this to 4.x?

Yes. You can flash the codefireX 4.2.1 ROM found in the HTC Desire HD forum. You should ask Inspire 4G questions in the Inspire 4G forum.

A little bit of confusion : Evo V?

How does rooting/getting custom firmware on the V work?
I went to the store to buy a no-contract phone today, and ended up going with the Evo V. It seemed like an in-freakin-credible deal. 139$ for a 4G phone with a dual core processor? Yes puh-leeze.
Anyways, so I've had an HTC before (hero), which I rooted/firmwared up and loved it, but I can't find a specific forum for the Evo V.
I know it's identical to the Evo 3D except it has 4G capabilities + launched with different software, so what rooting guide/firmwares can I install? Do ANY that work for the 3D work for the V?
Thanks in advance.
EVO V is 3D for Virgin Mobile. I've had both and hardware is identical. Software settings slightly different. For root follow Ramjet's guide at the top of this very section. Lot of the people in EVO 3D section have EVO V now. An easy beginning step is to root with HTC method, use 4 ext recovery and flash Midnight Rom. It's configured for Virgin. Then move to S-off if you want. Or straight to it depending on your skill level. It will allow you to flash Jelly Bean ROMS.

You can root and optionally get S-OFF for an Evo V 4G with this guide.

Thanks for the heads up. I got my phone S-OFF'd pretty easy!
Now I'm wondering, what's the current state of JellyBean roms. I hear that 4.2 will have group MMS messaging that plays nice with iPhones, which I would love.
Are there any working Evo 3D 4.2 ROMs?
If not, what's a ROM that's totally working, stable, and very fast. I'm not worried about bells and whistles.

You could try dastin's CM 10.1 (Wild For The Night) or Evervolv, both of which are 4.2.1 ROM's and very stable.
If you would like more advice about ROM's we have a thread here for that.
