So i know how to program for android ( building a application atm ).
I got a samsung galaxy y s5360 and i really like the azerty keyboard ( becaus i live in belgium ).
Only problem is the annoying setting button on the keyboard itself and the toggle XT9 button -.-"
Is there a way to:
1. pull the keyboard apk from the phone ( its a stock app ).
i was looking for it through the folders but couldnt find the apk
2. "Build" the apk so i can modifie it so the button wont do anything anymore
Ofcourse that's possible.
Using adb, pull the app, or copy it from your device using an explorer.
Using APKTOOL, decompile it.
Then look for any logic related to buttons in the smali files. Remove the function added to your XT9 button.
Recompile, adb install.
Should work!
If you don't know wich smali file, just post the APK here.

u know the path to find the apk and how to see if its the keyboard apk?
if i go to /system/data/ i dont rly see which one i need
edit i think it is this apk but im not 100% sure

Ok simple and short im asking if theres some xml i have to use to tell the hdpi-ness of the X10 to properly use mdpi pngs in a framework apk, or if it simply recognizes it by itself in with the 'drawable-mdpi' or 'drawable-hdpi' folder names.

Anyways! I want to change my amount of homescreens. Is there a way i can do this without installing a launcher?
Im talkin about a "hack" that i can do either through rootexplorer or my pc.
Xperia Arc s has 5 homescreens by default. I only want 3
Im fantasizing about a file i can open with text editor and just change 5 to 3, can some1 confirm this? Or is the hole process more complex?

Is there any method i can change my amount of homescreens?

I dont want 5 homescreens its so ugly ;(
I dont want any launcher either. I mean there must be a file on my phone wich contain the info that tells the phone to use 5 screens! There must be a way to edit that file and like.. Change the number to 3.
This thread is probably gonna annoy some people, sorry for that.
Okay first of all I used the freaking search. I found that I had to download and install the contacts.apk from TH ICSrom. I did and T9 dialer worked again but after reboot he stopped working. So I went back to the search and after an hour of searching I found that I had to copy the contacts.apk to my system/app folder. So after another hour I found that I had to give my file explorer root acces to copy and override the apk but it still doesn't work after reboot.
I'm stuck, I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Hope somebody can help me.

I rooted my Xcover and it worked out just fine,but then i wanted to try out LCD density changer and now i´m stuck in bootloop

I tried the first solution with the "update.zip" fix and that one didn´t work so now i was wondering could someone with Samsung Xcover make a backup of your build.prop and send it to me?

Hi everyone,
I would like to make a zip file to add automatically fonts by flashing it. I get a FontPack.zip, I removed some fonts I did not like but I would like to add some. I tried to add the font files (.ttf) concerned with the others ( in /FontPack.zip/system/app/FlipFont.apk/assets/fonts/ ) but when I flash it the ones I added do not appear in the phone parameters.
I saw that each font had an .xml file attached in /FontPack.zip/system/app/FlipFont.apk/assets/xml/ so I thought the problem was there. But I do not know if the problem is really there and even if it is I do not know how to create a .xml file for the fonts I added.
For information I added two fonts and their bold equivalent which are Ubuntu and Buntu ( which is Ubuntu Light ).
Thanks for your help and please forgive me for my bad english.
PS : I attached the font pack to my message so you can see it.

not really a answer for help but have you seen this thread about flipfonts basically its a apk of the fonts run the apk and the it will be added to system for you to choose thru your settings

also if u use go launcher goto visual settings font at bottom section u have option to change fonts also the option to search so if u was to create folder on your sd it will add.
just suggestions

I use Apex Launcher but thanks for your advice.
