Yellow LED on the camera - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi buddies, I wanted to ask, have you noticed if you in your ray the LED of the camera is like putting on more yellowish over time, nose I think mine is being degraded or something, because I see that part gives low light or less than you think to remember. anyone knows how to increase the intensity of the LED???
thanks, sorry for my english

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Anyway, yes, the led on Ray is kinda yellow-ish compared to other leds. I have no idea why but it seems this is normal. Also, I tried 3 Rays, my first one, my second one after I broke the first one and got it replaced, and my friend's one, all 3 of them had a yellow tint in their led.

Flashlight app slightly weaker than camcorder light?

As per title, it seems the Flashlight app's illumination intensity is slightly darker than that of the camcorder. Is anybody else experiencing this?
Because of that, I am using LED Light app. Any other I tried was weak.
Probably try to avoid burning the flashlight
Hi,
I installed tesla flashlight and it was on a weak led light but still i didn't notice anything weird.
Then rooted the phone with super one click and went to film something and the led was weak as in tesla flashlight.
Now I wonder what did it. I already had to trade this defy phone because the first one came with 3 dead pixels. Now I have to do it again for a bad led light?
Is it a defect in production or what? I have barelly used this led, even with photos dare say any flashlighting was only for testing.
I have had a nokia xm5800 for like 2 years+ and the led still works fine.
Did anyone else have this or manage to solve it? I am in Brazil, so it it a LA version of the phone...
Cheers,
Andrew

Capacitive LED's....?

My question....
Are the LED's under the capacitive buttons controlled by individual drivers or is it one driver for all 4 LED's. Also is the driver(s) replaced when I flash a new ROM and Kernel?
My reason.....
I got a replacement Rezound, and the phone is flawless other than 1 LED. All the buttons are nice, bright, and red, but the home button is barely lit up. Very dim. When I use the dim LED script the home button basically turns off.
I don't wanna deal with getting another that may have real problem, when this is just more of an annoyance. My Dad is the boss at a factory that builds computer electronics for all kind of crazy stuff, and said he could have someone replace them properly. I've ordered red 0603 SMD LED's to replace them all. My only concern is he mentioned it could be a bad driver for that LED, and make all the replacing pointless. So if they are all controlled by a single driver it would be a bad LED.
Or do I just not know what the hell I'm talking about?
EDIT: This should be in Q&A. Mods please move.
Honestly, I don't know but I suspect it is just an individual LED. Not on a computer right now but there is a thread on this forum with high res pics showing the LED color mod that might help make the process easier.

I did see that thread. That's where I got the red LED idea, but his problem was pink buttons not really a possible burn out, or other issue. I could deal with them being pink if they lit properly.
probably a mis-aligned attachment on the pcb, or a bad led altogether.. if you want to take it apart you can probably replace the individual led, but you'll need some soldering expertise.
That's also what he thought bad connection. They have plenty of experience at his work, and all the right equipment. So I'm gonna send it there. I wanted to make sure there wasn't an individual driver for just that led before I wasted his employee or companies time.
Yes, sound like bad hardware for sure...good luck!

[Q] LED Brightness Decreased after JB

Hi. 2-3 days before I did a Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update to my S3 from kies. (My country has DLJ1 release of JB). After the update i noticed some LED problem. When plugged my phone to plug, i noticed that my LED's Brightness has decreased (the red one, while plugged in). I plug out and plug in lots of times and only few of them shows bright LED. Also these bright LEDs loose it brightness again in 1-2 mins.
I tried the LED on notifications also. The same problem occurs again. Most of times the brightness is low from its usual.
Firstly i though it was a hardware problem and open test of my s3 from *#0*# and test my LEDs lots of time. In "EVERY" of the test, the LEDs are bright as sun and bright as usual before. So i start thinking that is a software/firmware problem.
Note: I also read a comment in another forum, someone also complain about this issue on "Charging Battery problem on JB.
So is this problem is usual and known or what. Do you know the reason and solution. How can i fix it? Thank you for your replies...
This is surely a widespread problem, I've found it too. As soon as I flashed official JB, I noticed the LED wasn't as bright. I suppose it's not a serious problem, but it isn't right.
Hi,
Happens the same here, with DLIJ4 ROM.
[]'s
Only affects the red charging notification and is a feature, not a problem. Less glare.
You make it sound like the end of the world... how sad.
Firstly i though like that but: If it is a feature why i can see very bright red LED while charging sometimes. As I said before, 90% times the brightness is low. However also as i said before in few times I saw bright red LED after a moment its gone again. If it is feature, is it normal ?
Also this happens in blue (notification) LED sometimes..
So i dont think as it is feature...
Not seen it on other colours, red is always dimmer than it was on ICS. I recall seeing somewhere that it was deliberate...
This is a feture. The LED brightness is now regulated automatically, depending on surrounding light.
I also tried in very dark room and also tried in under the lamp. But brigthness of LED is not change anyway I dont understand this ...
It seems that the surrounding light level is checked only when the charger is plugged-in and then in rather long interval.

[Q] Did I get a defective LED indicator?

Hi
Just got home with my Note 2 and have been loving it except for a possible issue with my LED light. When charging and the screen goes off, the red LED comes on which is good, the issue is that it is very dim. The odd thing is that when I power the device off and leave it charging, the LED indicator then turns bright red like it is usually supposed to be(like it is on my S3). I was just wondering if someone could power off their device while charging and tell me if the red charging LED is brighter than when your device is powered off than when when it's powered on.
One other issue is I tried to charge the Note 2 using one of the many Android charging cables I have laying around and when I use anything other than the charger supplied in the box, I get an intermittent tone and the device will not allow me to turn the screen off.
Would be much appreciated if someone can test these two possible issues and let me know if theirs does it too or if it's just mine.
Thanks for your time!!
I believe the led light is sensitive to light, meaning it will be dimmer in a darker area and lighter in a lighter area.

That was it bro, thank you!! I was doing all of this is a dim environment and after reading your post I grabbed a flashlight and shined it at the front of the Note 2 and at first no change....but then all of a sudden it switched to the bright red LED. Big time thanks man I was not wanting to have to go back to the store and exchange again. I already had to exchange the first of for what was either a stuck pixel or dust under the screen. This one the screen is perfect so I want to keep it.
Can you or anyone else test a random charger for me and see how the Note 2 reacts. Wondering if this thing needs to be used with the supplied charger to not make this sound and the screen staying on. The odd thing is I just tried my Nexus 7 charger and it works without issue but all my other chargers act wonky with the Note 2. Again man thank you for your time to post it helped me out big time

[Q] Notification led weak

Heya !
I have got Viper rom on my international One X+
Now, since a day or 2 my notification led is Extremely weak !
i can see it turning on / off but it looks like there is no power in there.
Can this depend on my Rom ? I also mentioned this in the Viper topic but i did not have any response.
Today i was talking to a friend with a one x and he had this problem all along. This can't be extremely cheap hardware can it ?
Cheers,
- Wickedd
I don't know if ROMs can affect the intensity of the notification light, but I can tell you that I am a bit disappointed with the standard notification LED of the One X+. Even if I am starting at it, it is still hard to see. I have no idea what HTC was thinking when they put that in. It's not centered; it just seems like an afterthought poking out from the earpiece grill. I just compulsively check my phone on the lock screen.
It's not necessarily cheap hardware. It might just be poor design.
I was wondering the same thing, but the strange part is that before and after root the notification light was bright, like i could really see the light but now its just off i cant even see it anymore. In the dark i can see a weak orange light but thats not the way it was.
Something happened and i would love to know what.
Cheers
You could try an app like Lightflow
Im on the Viper rom as well Telus version and as for the light... My Charging light is normal.. doesnt look too dim to me.
With lightflow it doesnt even seem to work at all !?
Maybe i'll try another rom.. Backup my viper in case it doesnt affect anything.
It cant be broken right ? it shouldnt light up at all in that case..
